[[I really like your character Rabbah. That is a very interesting creature you got there!
As to the communication question I was thinking that the Universe tweaked their vocal abilities so that everyone spoke the same language. However, they could still speak their native language and the other creatures can somewhat understand it as if it were a second language.]]

[[The moment you all have been waiting for is here!

OH! And I have decided that the way everyone is going to pick up the new language is with reading the letter. The creatures don't know any language but their native one until they read the letter and instantly they pick up the language.]]

The cave was quiet and dark. The only source of light was small cracks in the rock ceiling and the illuminating light coming from the furthest reaches of the cave, where it opened up to a colorful world. The light tried its hardest to penetrate the darkness and help his fellow creatures, but his rays of light, that reached desperately for his companions, only lit up the first five rows, containing about twenty glass tanks in each row, and leaving the next five or so rows without warmth. That was okay, though, cause the nocturnal creatures that had better eye sight in the dark were in the furthest rows, and the creatures that needed the most light were in the rows closest to the colorful rows. Charlotte was in one of tanks that were in the darker regions.

Eyes, that were as dark as the unexplored reaches of the cave, blinked open, not yet aware of what has happened. A small, petite, body went from a laying position to a ninety degree angle as she stretched her tiny frame. A long and silent yawn was in order and a shake of the head to wake herself up. However, still half asleep and unaware of the lack of soil beneath her feet, Charlotte started to get ready for the day. She stood up and her sleepy eyes looked around. It was dark, as it was in her hollow tree home back on Dokkalfar so she didn't notice the difference. She rubbed her eyes sleepily and started to walk towards the distant light. However, she didn't make it far, the next thing she knew, she was back on the ground, her head aching with an unusual pain. That is when she started to notice her surroundings.

Charlotte rubbed her head and stood up again. This time she noticed the lack of soil that was beneath her bare feet. With a puzzled look, she crouched down and touched the floor with her free hand. It was a cold and smooth surface, nothing like she had ever encountered. It was possible that ice would feel similar, but it wasn't quite the same. She stood up and blinked, her eyes adjusting to the darkness. She could see a large ob
ject in front of her. She turned to the side and she saw the same large ob
ject there, too. It was strange and fear started to settle in her heart. Charlotte looked back towards the light, nothing seemed to be blocking her path, so why had she fallen down? She walked towards the light again, slowly this time, and found that she was stopped. There was a force that was holding her back and she couldn't tell what it was. Frustration and anger started to settle in, making her fear seem like a minority. She balled up her fist and pounded on the force. A loud thud echoed in the cave and Charlotte noticed that the feel of the force was the same as the ground beneath her.

Curiosity welcomed himself into her heart, knocking anger out but keeping a tight hold on frustration and fear. Charlotte exhaled her annoyance and turned away from the light and from the strange force, examining her surroundings. Very vaguely, her dark eyes picked up the faint outlines of bodies. An uncomfortable feeling rose up and caught her by the throat. Now that she took in her surroundings, she noticed that multiple bodies surrounded her, and the large cave seemed so small. Closing her eyes, she took multiple, deep breaths trying to rid her mind of the feeling that made her want to cringe. However, when she opened her eyes, the feeling was no more, for her eyes, mind and heart latched onto something else, something more mysterious. A note.

Charlotte had walked over to the note and picked it up. She held the paper with delicate hands, as if it were of high importance, and she was scared to read it. The first thing that she noticed was that the letter was written in strange letters, scribbles even, but somehow as she attempted to read it, her mind translated everything and she was able to understand it clearly. She was so certain she knew what it was saying that she was almost tempted to take on the tongue of the letter. "A new world, a second chance, huh?" She said, giving into temptation and trying out the language. The words rolled out of her mouth with a thick, Dokkalfar accent. Her O's and A's were stressed heavier and her L's were held in her mouth longer. It felt strange in her mouth but Charlotte had already came to love the language, hoping to rid her mind of her native language. In this situation, one might freak out and feel sorrow for their dead planet and extinct race, but Charlotte didn't mind. She resented her planet, her people, that is why she converted and lived in isolation. The only thing that she felt was excitement to start her new life on this new planet. So long Dark Elves and hello fresh start.

He was in water, something he never expected. According of Kali religion, they were sent to a dry place when they died because they were all sinful. Xander never understood this rule, and he had never believed that it was true. Apparently he was right. Or, at least he thought he was, because he knew that he was dead, and there was no chance that he was still alive.

The last thing he remembered, he had been in one of the oceans in Umicksep, his home world. It had been storming above, dark clouds flashing lightning and the waves roaring as they attacked the air. Xander and a few other Kali had moved into deeper water where the storm wouldn't affect him. He could hear the thunder above as it shouted at the world. And then, all of a sudden, the currents changed, and he was pushed up to the surface. He was thrown into the air and it felt like a giant hand was pulling him up towards the clouds.

At that point, he passed out, and here he was now, in an unknown place. Xander hesitantly cracked his eyes open. It was dim. He waited for his eyes to adjust to the light before properly glancing around. It seemed that he was in some sort of large container filled with water. There were many other containers around him, and each of them contained a single creature in it. None of the other creatures looked like him. To the left, a source of light was shining on the left-most containers.

Xander tested his limbs, moving his arms and kicking his legs. He brushed his fingers against his gills and then his nose and then his ears. Everything appeared to be in working order. He breathed out harshly, letting air bubbles flow out of his nose. He felt tired, but his instincts told him to stay awake. He reached out and felt what looked to be the border of the container. He thought it was glass for a moment, but then he ran his nails against it and it didn't scratch. He clicked his tongue in irritation and let out a few curses. He tried to swim up, but the top of the container was on ten feet up, and it was as solid as the walls.

Xander noticed that there was a white spot on the outside of the container. He moved over to it and discovered that it was a note made out of paper attached to the outside of the wall so it wouldn't be wet. He skimmed it. It had strange lettering on it that he didn't recognize. He read it over again, and the words started to make since, even though he had never seen them before.

"A new life..." He mumbled, trying out the language. It was strange and obviously not meant to be used underwater. Maybe it would sound better once he was above water, if that ever happened. The writer of the letter hadn't made it very clear when he was going to be let out of the container, but he hoped it was very soon; the other creatures in the other containers seemed to still be passed out, which was a good thing being that they may or may not want to harm him. It said that he needed to escape, but how exactly would he be able to do that?

Xander took a second to think about his situation. His planet was dieing, but did that mean that his people were already dead? He hoped not. He had never really been that friendly with the other Kali, but that didn't mean that he wished for them to not survive. If they were gone, then he, Xander, would be the last of his kind, the last of a failure. He didn't want to be the last, because if he was, then there would be no hope, no reason for him to keep fighting for life.

Xander shook his head. This was no time to be thinking depressing thoughts; he needed to get out of the tank and onto the dry-looking land outside the container. But how? He tried to pushed against the glass, but it didn't give out. He kicked at it, but the only result was a loud noise and his foot throbbing. It was useless, there was no way he could escape. Maybe he could just wait until someone else managed to get out, and then copy whatever he or she or it did.

A slight twitch of the small furry body's little paw, a tiny, inaudible moan, a weary bl[injection]ink of its blazing amber eyes, and the Tasmanian Tiger had awoken. The dog-like creature lifted himself from the cold stone floor and moved into a sitting position, the tip of this thin tail twitching and his bleary, sleep-blurred eyes scanning his surroundings. The hard gray floor beneath his feet was cold and unfamiliar to him, the area dark and lonely. Near the front of the cave it was considerably lighter, though he was stationed in the back, presumably because he was nocturnal and light only bothered his eyes. Empty silence hung in the air, though he obviously was not alone. Many other creatures, most still out-cold, lay still and silent on the floor, each shielded by a nearly invisible force-field of sorts.
Suddenly feeling the irresistible urge to yawn, Tigger stretched his jaw in a long, gaping yawn that would split the average animal's jaw in half. He proceeded to stretch out his front paws, slant his back down and stretch himself. After his quick stretch,  he straightened his back, shook out his short, coarse and brown fur and sat back down. He turned to look out at all the other creatures, observing each one carefully. Many different variations of creatures surrounded him, and although they were all interesting enough, the small animal suddenly felt a pang of boredom sting his heart.
His entire body began to quiver, his thin tail thumping hard against the ground. He began whining, his yips high and short. He got to his feet and paced in a tight circle, then shifted his pace to a sprint and began chasing his tail, his long jaws snapping as he strained to grasp his tail in his small sharp teeth. When he finally caught the white tip of his tail, he immediately released and stumbled backwards, whining at the new throbbing pain now apparent in his tail. When his back-end smacked into something hard and solid, he gave a surprised cry and, trembling just slightly, he hurried forward and spun around to face his invisible attacker.
As he turned, he realized there was nothing there: some invisible force-field must have stopped him! He growled at his opponent, golden fur bristling and small teeth bared. He growled lowly, crouching low to the ground before springing and launching himself at the force-field. He fell back, tiny streams of blood tricking from his nose and forehead. He shook himself off, spraying a few little droplets of blood that stuck to the material his enemy was made of.
He threw himself at whatever was holding him back yet again, this time the impact sending him flying backwards and landing with a thud in a heap a few feet back. His head spun and the wind had been knocked clean out of him, leaving the Tasmanian Tiger struggling and gasping for air. When he finally could take in air, he took in lungfuls until he thought his lungs would burst. Only then did he notice the slip of paper a few feet from where he had crashed, obviously set there for him to read it. He managed to get back the majority of his balance and staggered over to the note, keeping on his feet but swaying as he stood and read.
Tigger could hardly read his own language, as he had been young when he was swept away from his pack and had to teach himself. Because even his Tasmanian was rusty, the squiggles, wiggles, scribbles and whatnot only made him shake his head slowly. Whoever had placed this note here was obviously not very clever. Slowly but steadily, however, his mind managed to translate the odd language into something somewhat understandable and after what had to be hours of squinting and struggling over each word, he finally picked up what the letter was laying down and stumbled backwards, his amber eyes wide and full of confusion, fear and worry. I'm the last one...?
Even the thought boggled his mind and left the Tasie speechless. This...this can't be!  His mind raced with questions and assumptions, trying to convince himself that this was all his imagination, that he was dreaming, even that he was dead and living in this mass of confusion, suffering and isolation was his eternal punishment. He could never even imagine the Underworld and certainly never thought he'd ever visit there, but maybe he had done something to displease the Gods that he had forgotten about and they deemed him worthy of this. He drew in a short, sharp breath and slowly exhaled, shaking his head and standing still and frozen in his own horror.
Suddenly, it hit him: his mother, father, and siblings were most likely all dead, killed off in some terrible tragedy. He could just imagine it, the horrified looks on their faces as they drew their last breaths and wondered if their son had made it...No! You mustn't think these thoughts! He scolded himself harshly, forcing himself to believe they died painlessly and happily in their sleep: though that was highly unlikely, at least it made him feel somewhat better.
He realized that because his race was basically all gone and he was the only one who was left to remember them, he must send one final salute to his family that resided in the Heavens above. He tilted his head back, parted his jaws and howled, long and deep. For his race, for his family, for himself and the belief that he would see them again. He only paused to take a breath once every half minute or so and continued, his emotion filled howl striking his heart and making him feel empty, pitiful and lonely all at once, the odd craving for a friend settling in his mind. Oh, how he wished someone would comfort him in this time of grieving, though he knew no one would come. No one cared for him and only strangers surrounded him.
Besides that, he doubted that anyone could even hear him through the thick force-field anyway. His howl finally came to an abrupt stop, his head lowering to tilt towards the ground and his eyes opening slowly. He drew in a long breath to regain the air he had lost while crying out to his family, then finally laid back down and rested his head on his paws. His listless, blank orange eyes settled on the gray stone ground, his eyes fixing on nothing. His final cry to his family had left him drained, emotionless for all feelings but sheer loneliness.

{Tasie Tiger yawning:
dat jaw}

A glimmer of light reached the pod and a newly woken massive shadow could be seen. It rose upward, bare headed, revealing black hair just long enough to be messy and surprisingly blue eyes. The figure reached its full height, still unaware of where it was as it reached for the helmet beside it.

A barely auidiable groan passed the figures lips before it stretched its ams upwards, almost reaching the top of the pod. Armour which didn't even clink as muscular arms were swung around donned the entire figure was revealed as searching hands finally found the helmet, which was slipped over it's head.

Enchanted green fire masked the Chaos Warlords face as a little more light shone into the pod.The encased head turned to examine the cave around it , taking in all of the smallest details. It showed none of its inward interest as it finished its glancing around and it strode forwards to meet an invisible barrier.
The figure reeled slightly as an ache came to its head and it reached out a cautious arm.

Acaine found the clear barrier obviously fascinating as he tapped at it before slitting his eyes and muttering some words it the base language of Terra 9.
A gauntletted fist struck the barrier and came hurtling back to the other arm which nursed it as Acaine glared at the wall and ground his teeth in frustration.
As the letter came to the pod, Acaine looked around once more, taking in more detail of the creatures around him.

A usually strong jawed face wheat slack with disbelief as he saw the sheer size of the cave. There must have been millions of creatures, each in an invisible room like his own, and each with its own planet.

There were some he vaguly recognised, some he didn't and some he was quiet familiar with. But as he read on a small bit of sorrow grew and engulfed him. All of these creatures are the last of their kind?
Strangely enough, the massive figure only thought about the others and held no sorrow for his own.

Clenched fists were pryed open using willpower as he sat back down and leant against the cold, invisible barrier. So. I can read a new language.
He thought before opening his mouth. Maybe I can speak it to.
"Good." The word was uttered with a strong rolling accent and another undefinable one. Acarina nodded his head pleased before closing his eyes and letting his thoughts run away.

Some time later, blue eyes opened again and looked upwards through the small crack in the cave. They took in the muffled foreign sounds and dimmed colours before trying to distinguish where he was. The letter had said something about an unknown planet, but he didn't give up hope that he may know where he was.

[[Bump.
I am so, so, so, so sorry for not posting for a long while, everyone. I got back last weekend and then when school came around I just got so busy with homework and making signs cause I am running for ASB VP, and yeah. So I will try to get to this tomorrow, but I have a tennis match and I don't know when I will get back. If not, expect a post from me by Friday or later this weekend/beginning of next week.
But feel free to carry on without me! Just don't go too far; like everyone escaping and Petie still being in the tank.]]
