Jason already senced the tensions were high between nearly the whole group.  He arrived at base camp, his gloved hands in his pocket in clenched fists.  He looked up, seeing just two cabins...  He didnt look back at the group and walked into the one that was farther away.  The cabin was medium sized, with two sets of bunk beds and 2 singles.  He dropped his pack on a single cot and dropped some logs in the fireplace.  He snapped two stones together until the kindling caught fire.  And soon the cabin was warm,,,

When Chris finally arrived in the cabin, his brother had a fire blazing in the large fireplace.  He smiled at his brother and was anwsered by a cold glare.  He placed his pack on the bottom bunk of a bunk bed and took a seat on the broad carpet in front of the fireplace.

Mystel looked up from her throne of ice towards Rel.  She swung her legs over the side of the chair, standing up briskly.  Her flawless skin seemed to let off a light glow as the ice reflected.  "Rel, Wolfy.  What did you have in mind for our...visitors?" she asked in a calm tone, walking up to her friends and most trusted allies.  For she had a plan of her own...

Tanerina was relieved that the group she was traveling with finally reached the camp.  The trip was long and cold and she didn't know why she ever agreed to vacation here.  It was barron and it was miserable.  She got seasick twice and she thought she was developing frostbite all over.  On top of that, there could be something dangerous lurking out there.  The man she spoke to about the trip told her to bring a weapon or some type of defense.  His tone was dead serious and it scared Tanerina.  But at the time, she was in the mood for adventure, not so much now.  She brought a handy knife that she was proud of.  It was bronze and kind of short in length.  The handle was engraved with some nice-looking designs as well as her name.  She kept it in a sheath attached very tightly to her belt.

Tanerina stumbled into the cabin that someone told her belonged to the girls here.  Her single duffel bag with all her stuff was slung over her shoulder.  When she entered, there was another girl there.  She didn't think the girl was asleep but Tanerina quietly settled down, just in case.  She put down her duffel bag on the top bunk of a bunk bed on the other side of the room and took off a couple winter coats she was wearing because of the freezing temperature.  She sighed deeply.  Tanerina was already missing home.  This brilliant idea already confirmed that she was incredibly stupid.  After about twenty minutes of trying to start a fire and just barely being successful, she laid down on the bed with her eyes open, just thinking about her family and about home.

Chris looked at the guys in the cabin, instantly feeling bad for his brother's actions.  He sighed.  "Im going to see if the ladies want to come sit by the fire." he smiled lightly.  Jason rolled his eyes but said nothing more, relaxing on his cot with a book in hand... in the drawer to his left was a medium length blade he and chris got it pas.sed down in generations of their family.  It was a light weight medal that swirled around the handle,  it was experatly crafted by their great great grandfather, who was from wealthy blood.  A gem encrusted the bottom of the handle on either side.  He ignored this fact and continued reading.

Chris knocked once on the door of the girl's cabin...he wanted to at least make some friends.  "I hope you have your clothes on, cause I'm coming in." he called jokingly, a small chuckle escaping his lips.

"Oh, hey."  The girl surprised Tanerina and she jumped.  "It's bronze and it's sharp.  It was made by grandfather sepecially for me.  It's very special.  Wow, your sword is long."  Tanerina pulled out her knife and admired it.  Plus she was impressed at the other girl's sword.  She was glad she found someone nice on this horrible trip, and they both had an interest in blades.

Chris pushed open the door.  Beaming broadly.  "Brr.  Its chilly out there." he smiled shaking the snow flurries from his hair.  He spotted Yukita.  "Yukita, Im so sorry about Jason and the others... it was a very disrespectful way to act." he apologized sincerly his face serious.  He spotted a girl standing with Yukita.  "Oh, please forgive me.  I dont believe we met, I'm Chris Maxewelle." he smiled, coming foward and putting his hand out for her to shake.  "I'm staying in the guys cabin, over there." he said, motioning out the window to a small cabin about the size of the one he stood.

Jared lead Grayson and Jackson into the guys cabin.  Jared placed his belongings on the empty cot beside Jason.  Jackson going to the lower bunk, the opposite of where Chris's belongings stood.   Grayson went to Chris's bunk.  "I'll sleep on the top." he said, throwing his bag to the top bunk. 

"Where'd Chris run off to?" Jackson asked curiously as he unpacked.

"Get the girls." Jared replied expressionlessly... "Thanks for setting the fire, Jason." he stated calmly, putting his hand out for him to high five. 

Chris smiled, "The pleasure is all mine." he replied politely.  He thought for a moment.  "I believe there are still a few on their way up...however I know 4 are back at the cabin and I'm here, and including you two... 7 so far." he said brightly.  He glanced at the blades.  "Rockin' blades." he said in awe..."My brother and I have one from our grandaddy...but Jason holds it most of the time." he said in his familiar cheery voice.

Jason high fived Jared, and stood up... it was getting warm in the cabin so he pulled off his jacket and snow pants.  Placing them at the foot of his bed to dry.  Underneath, he wore a pair of jeans and a black t-shirt.
