Coalpaw's eyes fluttered open for sometime. He felt surrounded, Skypaw being next to him, and Icepaw not far off. 'Eesh. She-cats.' He thought uncomfortably. He resisted fidgeting in his nest, to avoid waking any cat. He knew that Deathpaw certainly would be annoyed, though Coalpaw couldn't smell the apprentice's scent. He sighed, knowing that tomorrow would be the day he finally became a warrior. That thought calmed him, as he dozed off once again.

Shadowstorm stretched as she padded out of the warrior's den. Pantherclaw had stood guard last night and greeted her with a dip of his head. She padded over to him. "Pantherclaw, I did not report this to Fallingstar yesterday, after all that has happened, but we ran into a FrostClan patrol yesterday. A FrostClan apprentice ran over the border to catch prey," She explained. Pantherclaw unsheathed his claws. "Why, those fleabags!" He muttered. "You should tell Fallingstar. I suspect he is awake now," He said. Shadowstorm dipped her head and headed toward Fallingstar's den. "Fallingstar?" She asked quietly, waiting for permission to enter.

Icepaw blinked open her blue eyes. Excitement coursed through her as she realized she was going to become a warrior today. She got to her paws and looked down at her shredded bedding. She felt her ears grew hot with embarra.ssment and set to fixing it. Her claws were still unsheathed, the moss sticking out of them. She plucked the bits out with her teeth and molded them into the bedding. Blizzardpaw opened his eyes. "Can't you keep quiet?" He muttered and ducked his head deeper into his nest. Icepaw ignored him and prodded Coalpaw with her paw. She leaned down into his ear. "Coalpaw, want to go hunting as apprentices one last time?" She asked before whisking her way out of the den.

Emberpaw padded over to Deathpaw's nest and checked his ear. She gave it a smalll sniff and found that it wasn't infected. "That should heal in a couple of days," She said to herself and clamped her mouth shut, hoping that she hadn't woken him. She slinked away from him and walked over to Leafstorm's nest. Her wound was different that Deathpaw's. It was a jagged pink line puckered with red. She gave it a sniff. Definitely infected. She sighed. "Leafstorm, I must tend to your wounds," She said softly.

Skypaw heard Icepaw pad out of the den and roused herself as well, shaking off bits of moss slowly, as not to wake any other cats. She slipped through the entrance of the den and purred when she scented all the now-familiar scents of the Clan. Glancing to the warrior's den, she saw Shadowstorm and Pantherclaw muttering about something.

Scorchpaw rolled over lazily and poked Earthpaw, getting her awake. "Let's go," he meowed happily, clambeing from his nest and out the den. Earthpaw followed more sedately, taking her time to appreciate the fine morning. 

((Det, waiting for a reply from Leafstorm))

Flamestrike padded into the camp. He stifled the urge to yawn, a small mouse hanging from his jaws. He dropped it off at the fresh-kill pile and saw Shadowstorm standing next to Fallingstar's den. "Shadowstorm?" He asked and the black she-cat looked up. "Good morning Flamestrike. I come with angering news. Yesterday, a FrostClan apprentice had crossed over the border of our territory and theirs, chasing prey. Frostwing, the mentor, just watched and did nothing to stop him." Shadowstorm said, seething. Flamestrike sat thoughtfully. "I shall tell Fallingstar of this after the warrior ceremony. No use troubling him now. Tell Stormtalon, Hailstorm, and Dreamstone that they are to join the dawn patrol. Don't bother with the apprentice's, I want them fit for tonight." He said and walked away.

Shadowstorm walked through the camp and spotted Hailstorm. She loped over. "Hailstorm, can you tell Stormtalon and Dreamstone that you are to go on the dawn patrol? Flamestrike told me to tell you three, but I want to begin the day with Scorchpaw." She said.

Flamestrike saw Skypaw come out from the apprentice's den. He padded over to her and tapped her on the shoulder with his tail. "Skypaw, I am going to show you the territory today," He said. Skypaw seemed old enough to be a warrior already, but her and her littermate's warrior ceremonies were going to be overdue. "You must work hard if you wish to catch up to the other apprentice's." He said.

Emberpaw looked at the puckered line. "I believe it's infected, but I know just the thing to help," She said and whisked her way into the medicine den. She grabbed some alder leaves to reduce the swelling and also grabbed some burdock root to draw out the infection. With some hesitation, she also grabbed poppy seeds in case Leafstorm was in too much pain.

She returned to Leafstorm and spat out the herbs near her nest. "This is going to sting," She warned and began to chew the leaves into a pulp. She sat on her haunches and spat the sticky pulp onto her freshly washed paws. She looked at Leafstorm for confirmation that she could apply it to the wound.

Emberpaw snorted. "You're not going to be crippled forever," She said and rolled her eyes. Warriors! Fierce in battle, but once they get a scratch...She cleared her thoughts and focused on the task at hand. Emberpaw suddenly realized a mistake she had made. "Leafstorm, you'll have to stay in your nest for the next few days. I don't want the wound to reopen." She told her.

Flamestrike looked down at Duskpaw. "That is up to your mentor, but I believe she may want to show you the territoy," He told her and then decided to tell her the truth. "If you meet a FrostClan patrol and they want to fight, you don't know any battle moves. Maybe on the next patrol," He said, hoping he hadn't hurt his daughter's feelings.
