"Over the river and through the woods." Espen repeated, looking up at the sky. "Where's that from? A children's bedtime story? A nursery rhyme?" He blinked, looking back down to stare at Altair. "And when's 'soon enough'? The campus -- or whatever it's called -- is huge!"

"It's from a little song I learned in...Kindergarten, I think," Altair cocked his head for a moment before shrugging. "You know, 'Over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother's house we go!~'." He blinked, then shrugged. "It's not very far. But we do have to go past a few trees."

"So it is a nursery rhyme!" Espen snapped his fingers. "I knew it. But I didn't remember the rest..and stuff." He shrugged lightly. "I barely remember being in kindergarten at all. 'Cept when this girl stole my crayons. It was the one with all those colours...gold, silver, robin's egg blue, and stuff like that." He frowned. "Chick stole my crayons, and I never forgot that." ( He kept a grudge. :o ...xD ) ~ "You could've told me it was a trick question." Drew muttered, sighing. "Maybe I would've gotten it." He smiled at Jordyn, flicking his head once. "But I didn't expect you to be asking me random questions like you did."

Altair laughed, looking over his shoulder at Espen. "I remember a little girl stealing my cheesy crackers. But she didn't bring a snack that day and made up for it by sharing her cookies the next day. I think it's best not to hold a grudge," he shrugged. "Probably just my parents rubbing off of me. Oh well."

Drew stuck his tongue out at Jordyn. "I didn't expect to have to think. I never do when I'm talking to people I barely know, 'cause I believe that they're not going to throw anything at me. Everyone I know is so...stupid." He paused. "Well, except for you, 'cause you got me there." He chuckled nervously, taking a step back from Jordyn. "But still. I never think that anyone will want to test me like you did."

Espen's jaw dropped. "What? That sucks. No one wanted to share with me in kindergarten. They just stole my things." He blinked. "That's another thing I remember: people stole my things in kindergarten. Hell, even the teacher did!" He pouted, furrowing his brow. He would've crossed his arms, but Altair was holding the other. "My family is...wealthy, in a way. So I've always gotten nice things." He shrugged. "But I was never a brat like everyone else in those private schools I've been sent to. Mostly 'cause my mom taught me better than that."

"I went to public school up until highschool. Well, actually, up until my Sophomore year. My parents figured that if I went to a private school, even if it was just for a couple years, that I'd be able to get into college easier." Altair shrugged. "We may not have had a bunch of money, but we had enough to get by. My parents had stuck a thousand dollars in a trust fund when they first got married, preparing for when they had a child. That was four years before I was born. And, since I'm an only child, they worry over me a lot. But I don't really mind," he looked back at Espen with a wide, yet soft smile before continuing, "because it lets me know that they care." ((:'3)) |

"Sure," Drew glanced up at...where ever she was gesturing towards to, then blinked. "So...where are we going again?" he asked, pushing his hands in to his pockets. "You never exactly told me, so..." ~ "How sweet," Espen said softly, blinking once. "I'm an only child, too, but I don't get a lot of attention. This is the third boarding school I've been to. They sent me to one in middle school, but I got kicked out. I wanted to be kicked out, because I didn't like being away from my parents for so long." He exhaled heavily, sounding a bit like he was sighing. "I was sent to a boarding school during grade school, then I was pulled out because my mom complained about it." He paused, staring down at his feet. "So I was sent to a private school instead, then I was sent here after middle school."
