Altair smiled at him through his hair before sitting up, moving his hair out of his face. "Most people seem to think I am, though. I really don't take the time to talk to someone all that often, so I really don't know what they think of me," he told Espen before tilting his head slightly, blinking once. "Come to think of it, I think I've talked to you for the longest out of anyone else," he said absently, trying to remember his other conversations before getting annoyed and giving up.

He stretched out his arms and stood up, smiling down at Espen. "We should probably head back before it gets too dark and we can't see," he said, looking up at the sky again with a pout. Time flies when you're having fun...

Voted Most Likely to Become a Homocidal Maniac, maybe? Or maybe an occultist or something. I'll figure out the details later.

"Oh," Drew stared at Jordyn for a while, blinking at her. "So, you can move them and stuff? Like a nekomimi or something?" he asked, tilting his head. Is this some kind of a joke? 'Cause it's not funny.

Espen blinked, then looked up at the sky, too. "Ah...You really think it'll get so dark that we won't be able to see? I mean, there's always the really big lamps around campus..." He looked around, then pointed to a lamppost. "See? They'll turn on at, like, seven or something."

Altair shrugged. "I don't see there being very many lampposts in the woods on campus, though." He blinked, tilting his head for a moment to think about that before he simply shook it off. "Besides, I want to see if anyone got as.signed to be my roommate. I'm kind of curious to see who it is, if anyone got stuck in there with me at all," he said cheerfully, not at all put off by the fact that he'd most likely have to sleep in his dorm alone. He was used to sleeping alone and usually preferred it.

Espen bit his lip. Why is he talking to me about that? It kind of tempts me to ask... "I don't like roommates. They get into all your stuff and sometimes steal your homework." he said, pouting. "You'd be lucky if you ended up having a room all to yourself."

Altair laughed a little. "Well, some of them snore pretty loud, too. I'm a light sleeper, so snoring would keep me awake all night, leaving me grumpy in the morning," he stated, padding towards the entrance/exit of his little not-so-secret-anymore place, pausing to see if Espen was coming, too. He smiled at him before putting his hair back up in a ponytail to keep it out of his face.

It was a habit of his when preparing to return to the school building. He didn't know why, though. He just automatically did it. After a little while, he tilted his head thoughtfully. If his hair getting into his face bugged him that much, why didn't he just cut his hair? That would be the simplest solution, and would last longer than a hairtie.

Espen walked after Altair, feeling like he might be left behind if he just stood there. "They can be really mean, too. Inconsiderate, messy, mean, rude, unwelcoming, unfriendly..." He blinked. "Ah, well, that's how a lot of my roommates have been. Like I said, I've been in a boarding school most of my life, so I've got a lot of experience with roommates. My next rommate, I'm hoping, will be better than the last few I've gotten."

"Only roommates I've had are the times I got to go to summer camp," Altair said, grimacing a bit. "Things in those cabins got a bit violent after a week. The other boys were getting tired of eachother," he said before shrugging it off and turning to walk again. "As long as, if I get a roommate, he's not like those boys at summer camp, I'll be fine," he said, smiling back at Espen. "I'm not exactly someone who supports unneeded and avoidable violence."

Espen nodded. "Yeah, I guess tha'd be good for me, too. I hate getting hurt," he said, looking up at Altair. When'd he put his hair up? Does he really not like his hair in his face that much? he thought, blinking. He should cut his hair if he doesn't want it in his face. But, hairties are fine, too.

Altair turned to make sure he didn't run into any branches, waiting until he was out to turn around, tilting his head a bit. "Did you ever go to any camps?" he asked curiously, blinking. He really didn't know if the kids who went to boarding schools their whole life went to camp. He wasn't trying to be judgemental, he just really didn't know, being in public schools until this year.

( Well, mine doesn't. I just don't like the teachers, the people, the work, etc. o3o
Tomorrow, we're going to a hockey game as a field trip. I have, like, no idea what it has to do with school, but hey, I don't really care. :D )

"Just one," Espen replied, wrapping an arm around his ribcage. "I didn't like it, so I never went to a camp again." He sighed, looking down at the ground. Remembering painful memories was painful. "You get hurt easily and since it hurts a lot more for me, I decided against camps. And that's pretty much all there is to it."

Altair frowned, padding forward to put a hand on Espen's shoulder upon seeing his reaction to his question. "Well, camp's not for everone. I avoided the others as much as possible until they were too worn out to do anything. Or I just decided to sit in a tree or something," he said, looking up at the sky.

"Personally, I think sleeping under the stars is the best. It makes you realize that you're just a small piece in the giant puzzle of the universe, so it makes you think a bit differently." He blinked before looking back down at Espen, smiling sheepishly. "Sorry for going off on random topics. I tend to get sidetracked easily," he told him.

Espen looked up at the sky, too, blinking. "Ah, no, it's fine." He looked back down at Altair, smiling. "I like random topics like that. Usually, I find myself in conversations with idiots. I sware, it's like talking to a wall." He couldn't help but chuckle, and he rubbed the back of his neck, not sure of what to say next. "I, um, didn't sleep much in camp. The rest of the kids had me up and running all the time, knowing I'd be out of breath before they knew it."

Espen stared at Altair. "Well, people don't usually ask..." he said, blinking at Altair. "But, um, not really." He looked down, swallowing. "How...how'd you end up here? I mean, there has to be a reason to have been sent here. I was sent here because...well, I think it's because they see me as a waste of time. You know, you have to 'spend time' with your kids, so, I'm a waste of time."

Altair shrugged lightly before frowning at Espen. "You're not a waste of time! You're the only person that I've been able to talk to this long. You're far from a waste of time," he huffed softly before tilting his head thoughtfully. "Well, I was sent here because I asked to come. I was curious to see what it was like, and hoped it would be better than the public schools I've gone to my whole life. Here, you get to walk around outside, while at the schools I went to, we were cooped up all day," he said, pouting lightly.

((My school has temperatures in extremes. Either SUPER cold, or SUPER hot. D:

Really cold in the winter, and unbearably hot in the summer. Our heaters take ages to warm up, and we have no AC in the clas.srooms. D:>))

 Espen nodded, watch Altair as he spoke. "Public schools are nice. Well, to me, at least." He paused for a second, thinking back. "For one thing, the teachers don't yell at you for every single little thing. They're more tolerant for some reason." he recalled, tilting his head back. "And, they give you less homework. In private schools and boarding schools, everything goes a lot faster. The teachers don't give you much help, and even the help expects you to get it quickly." He took a deep breath, exhaling loudly and in a sort of irritated way. Like a sigh, but like you're angry. "Personally, I prefer public schools."
