Shadow listened to him and only replied to the last part by saying,"Yes,I guess we're friends." With that she added,"I need to get out of the sun. You can stay here,but I need to find some sort of shade,besides my wings." With that she walked away,to a nearby tree and laid down,her silver eyes watching the male dragon lay in the sun.
I\'m extremely sorry for my absence. I\'ve been very busy and was recently attacked by 3 dogs and am currently recovering.

Cathylus was glad the reply was positive. Now that he knew a dragon he could trust, he did not feel so lonely. Shadow went to rest in a trees shade, her eyes locked on him. He continued to bask in the light, but his own eyes met two silver ones. The two dragons were staring at each other blankly.

Shadow noticed he was staring back at her and turned away,wrapping her tail around the tree and letting smoke pour from her nostrils,making various shapes and sizes.

(O-O Well then... Looks like I've chosen the perfect time to pop along?) Reech lifted her wings wearily, yawning after spending hours in the blistering heat. She lifted herself from the ground with a grat push, disturbing a dog that had decided to sleep beneath her large paws. She grinned with her seldom used smile, then turned southward toward new places. She had memorized advice from her sisters about where to go, and she was certain of her destination. It was supposedly called America, as she had heard. She twisted in the air, flying upside down with the birds beside her massive chest. Her skin was rubbery like a dolphins, so it gave no trouble to the birds who decided to swoop down on it for a rest. She began her descent, harboring her passengers safely. She did notice two dragons, though they were not any kind she had seen before. Who could they possibly be? She landed carefully, skimming a lake before touching the ground. Softly, she rested and let her stowaways depart. Then she rolled upright, watching the strangers' staring contest.

Cathylus lifted his neck as he heard distant wing beats. They werent of any bird, because the spud they gave was large and smooth. He ignored the fact that Shadow had looked away- he had different company. His neck muscles rippled beneath his pure white skin as his eyes met a whitish, odd tinted dragon. It was another female. Was he the only male in the world, or what? He decided to investigate her. She smelt strange, not a familiar scent. Her skin- strangely smooth compared to his more rough flanks. "Hello to you too." Cathylus sarcastically moaned. She had not given any greeting, and he took that as a chance to talk.

Reech turned her head to the side and eyed the male with her iridescent eyes. She pulled back her head so it almost arched over her back. "Eh..." She couldn't recognize the language very well, as she was used to the thick trill she had used with her sisters. She lowered her head, a bit embarrassed that she hadn't learned the language of the new world. She could hear her sisters now, laughing and hooting at her ignorance. She raised a paw to her muzzle and drew it over her nose in shame, then looked at the ground. "Hallo..?" She wondered aloud, pondering the word for it's possible meaning. Also, why did the strangers sport scales like fish all over their bodies? She shook her head. Those dragons were also strangely large, and she had to lift her head up just to see their necks.

"just as I thought. Not from around here. You will need to learn. I know many languages. I travel. Talk in your usual way, and I will see if I know it." Cathylus said to the smaller female with strange skin. Then he realised that she probably wouldn't have understood that. He tried the same sentences in the many tones and voices he could remember, until he thought of the one that came from north. He repeated it in that language, and hoped for the best.

Reech lifted her head again. He could speak her language! Her eyes glowed with happiness. "Akh,
chomu pryvit! Ya taka shchaslyva, shcho vy znayete miy̆ yazyk! Ya mayu
na uvazi, khocha tsya mova ne mozhe buty zrozumilym dlya bilʹshosti, ya
sprobuyu diznatysya vashe.*" Reech grinned her foreign smile, though she really wasn't sure if she could learn the words of this culture. Nonetheless, she held her head high that someone could understand her.
( Oh, why hello! I'm so happy that you know my tongue! I mean, even though this language may not be obvious to most, I will try to find yours.) |

Shadow looked up at the sound of wing beats from a dragon and put her wings up over her body before standing and walking into the sunlight to meet the stranger. "Who's this?",she asked Cathylus before looking back at the dragon. It looked foreign to America,but yet it seemed,slightly,like them,except for size and skin.

Cathylus grinned. "I am glad I am able to communicate with you." He started, speaking in this foreign language. "If you would like to learn our language, be prepared. It is very difficult... It takes practice." he continued. Shadow interrupted. "excuse me" he said to the stranger, and turned to shadow. "Do you mind? How would I know who she is?" He grunted, then turned back to the small dragon. He could sense that she was feeling rather overwhelmed by his size. He bent his neck down to make it easier for her to see his face. "I am Cathylus. And who might you be?" He spoke clearly, using the different language once again.

(I'm going to type in english because the stuff messed up the layout XD) Reech tilted her head to the side, but was honored to see at eye-level. At home, females were not allowed to be at eye-level. They must always carry their heads lower, even if it had meant crouching low on the ground. She smiled again, but shyly, as the new female could take it as an offense. "Good to meet you, Cathylus... I am Reech, and I am from the Crimean Mountains, a descendant of Krylo Zolota, the first zmiya to discover the Great West Land of his time." She did not think she was entitled to much, since she had just now become the first zmiya to discover an even greater West Land. She did, though, feel that her grandfather would be proud.

Shadow didn't see her smile as she snarled at Cathylus' answer to her question. It stung a bit that he had talked to her that way and she showed it as she sulked back to the tree's shade. hitting him with her tail as she left. "You didn't have to be so mean!",she snapped as she finally made it back to the tree.

Cathylus growled at Shadow as she hit him then returned to her tree. "Okay, then. I'm gonna start interrupting YOU when you are talking with somebody!" He thundered. Hopefully Shadow would but out for a little while. "So, Reech, descendant of Krylo Zolota, what brings you here?" He asked. He now lay down in a crouching position, as long as he could still see Reech's eyes. His head was now lower than hers. He flicked his tail sharply in an interested way and A few sparks of ice fell from it. They landed and smashed on the floor with a shattering glass sound.

Reech was surprised that Cathylus was lower than she was, so she backed up to lay down and keep her head low. "Various things... Tales of strange creatures, history of successful raids, and maybe even the thought of bringing honor to my family... To show my sisters that I'm not the shy little hatchling I used to be... The timid mouse they take me for." Her head was low, but she kept it that way with her utmost poise. She watched the black dragon with her peripheral vision, sensing a depressing aura. Could she be a utysk her sisters warned her of?

Shadow listened to the conversation with a frown,obviously not understanding and noticed the foreigner taking interest in her,probably since she disrespected Cathylus. She then tried her best to give her a strange smile before putting her head on the ground and just watching them,but her mind seemed to be off somewhere else,as her stare was blank and expressionless.

Reech tried hard to keep from gaping, but she couldn't stop herself from staring wide-eyed. "Utysk? She's a utysk?" She backed up a little bit, one set of claws held frozen in the air beneath her. Reech crouched down low, tilting her head to the side to observe the utysk.

Shadow snapped back into reality when the dragon began to back away and she sat up,wondering what she had done wrong. Her silver eyes stared at her,surprised and confused,before she asked Cathylus,"What did I do wrong?" She forgot she was mad at him and,slowly,walked up to his side,wings covering her from the sun's brightening rays.
