"I am guessing an 'Utysk' isn't the best of things, huh? What does it mean in your home land?" Cathylus asked, in the foreign language, and managed to fit it in before he was interrupted once again by Shadow. "You have done nothing wrong, except look like an evil mad thing. And an Utysk or something, to Reech." He now spoke clearer in his home language and shook his head slowly as Shadow crept up to his side. "I don't think moving next to me will make her less afraid of you." He laughed.

Reech cowered behind her wing, peeking from behind. "A Utysk is very bad news for this place... They were first found in the far East, bringing fire and darkness to our kind. They are part of the reason we are declining at such a rate. Vampire dragons like these... They outlast the rest of us, by thousands of years, where an average dragon would live until about three thousand years. They just eat and eat... Soon enough, they'd commit to cannibalism, only one would be left by the time they are done. That one would soon be killed or die of old age, thus ending our race."

Cathylus listened. Shadow, the silly, moody dragon, was an Utysk? Surely not... Could she really turn out to be a monster? "This one certainly isn't acting like a brutal monster right now." Cathylus joked, looking round at the black female dragon, standing harmlessly next to him.

Shadow watched the female,named Reech,and thought to herself. 'That sounds a lot like what my insane parents were like when they left me to die.' She then put her head on the ground as the rest of her body followed and she looked like a giant dog. "I wouldn't do anything like that. My parents did,but I wouldn't.",she told Cathylus,knowing this dragon probably didn't understand.
I\'m extremely sorry for my absence. I\'ve been very busy and was recently attacked by 3 dogs and am currently recovering.

Reech shook her head. "No... No. I suppose you simply don't understand. They never start out as murderers if they're lucky... Trust me, I know so. But there will always be that blood lust, the desire to kill. It may not be dominant, but over the years it will become strong against all feelings. I met a Utysk once, was actually good friends with him, too. He was born a Regal Copper - A kind one. He became a Utysk by the time he was forty years old... And tried to destroy one of my sisters." She bowed her head for a moment, squinting at the ground. "I know you don't suspect this dragon of a monster of such lineage, but it never starts early. I advise you not to get too attached, for the sake of your life and those of your dearest."

Cathylus blinked. He started to realise just how serious this actually was. He was puzzled and did not know what to say next. They couldn't just flee from Shadow, for that would be rude, but what else? "Well, what do we do about her?" He asked, looking down in pity for the dragon that did not know its future. It's terrible future.

Inside Shadow had a feeling of what they were talking about and her blood started to boil. Her eyes flashed a blood red for a second and she looked up at Cathylus. "If your thinking what I think you are...",she warned,but didn't finish as she shook her head and felt her tail beginning to burn. Quickly she put her tail in the shade of her with and cursed the sun under her breath.

Reech grinned. "I know exactly what to do. Just... Um... Follow my... Lead. I think I can convince her in her own language..." Fortunately, the Utysk language was an easy one, just some hissing and snapping. It had no distinction of accents, and was known throughout all species. "Hello there! (While I write this I remember using this excuse on so many poor little kids XD )

Cathylus stared blankly at Reech. Utysk's even had their own language? He was beginning to wonder how big they were, when Reech began 'talking' to Shadow. She understood his language just fine, but Reech had other ideas... Maybe this wasn't the best one. What if Shadow had some crazy flashback of the language as she heard it then went crazy? Cathylus blinked, then payed more attention to Reech and Shadow.

Shadow looked at her and growled,"You think I'm an idiot,don't you? If you don't want me around,just say it." She never liked to speak in the tongue she learned from her parents,since her parents were the ones who spoke it and speaking in it now made her mad at the female. "Just go! It's not like I can't like on my own for many more years!",she hissed and the rose up and turned her head to,briefly,look at her so-called-friend,Cathylus. Her eyes filled with hatred as she snapped back to the language he understood better,"Some friend you are! You and your little girlfriend can leave for all I care! I thought that I could trust you!" She then unfolded her wings and prepared herself to take flight.

Cathylus reached out with a leap to grab Shadows tail in his jaws before she could take flight. He pulled her backwards. "oh no you don't." He mumbled, his mouth still clenched round Shadows tail. He let go and stared at her. "What did she say? What made you so angry?" He asked, not knowing why Shadow was so fierce and mad at him.

Shadow only looked at the ground,watching her claws tap the dirt angrily,and put her wings back over her to shade her. "Bad memories of that language she spoke.",she finally answered and her claws quit tapping the dirt as she looked up at him.

Reech lowered her head again, backing up. She had forgotten how to say what she was going to say in Uri, so she just said so in her native language. "De... I'll be going now." She pushed off from the ground, creating large gashes in the dirt, and flew back off to New Brunswick.

Cathylus looked up as Reech lifted off and said she is leaving. "She's going. I better make sure she doesn't spread news of you and get an army to destroy you." He said to Shadow, in his home tongue. When Reech was out of sight but her scent was still strong, Cathylus himself spread his cold wings and set off in the direction of the strange female.

Shadow didn't feel like being left behind and followed him. Her scales burned,but clouds were starting to cover the sky,so maybe she could fly without burning to badly. She knew to be quiet so she kept her mouth tightly shut and flew silently.

Reech made an arc downward, stooping down to land on the sand. (RHYME!) She flattened out her tail and swept it over the sand and created a hollow depression, then packed it down with her paws before lying down. Now, the previously scorching sand would at least be at a bearable heat. Of course she knew she was being followed. That's why she created her own cool area so her followers couldn't touch the ground near her, as she absolutely hated being followed.

Cathylus admired the sudden weather change that had occurred during the flight. It was now blazing hot and perfect for warming up. He decided to rest and bask in the sunlight for a little so he turned to a hill. There was a large, perfect sized rock for him at the top, a coincidence if you ask me. He swooped down to the heat cracked rock and spread his wings, soaking in the lovely warmth. He sighed with pleasure and closed his eyes. 'why can't weather at home be like this every once in a while?' he thought.
