Shadow looked down at Reech and thought,'She chooses the hottest spot to land.' She found herself going down without a plan of where to land and her feet hit the hot sand,burning terribly. Screeching in pain she began to half hop and half walk over the sand.
I\'m extremely sorry for my absence. I\'ve been very busy and was recently attacked by 3 dogs and am currently recovering.

(Nothing personal, I just enjoy destroying Shadow's claws and evaporating her toe jam.) Reech lifted her head. "This is what you get for stalking me..." She spoke in her native tongue, absolutely no intention of being understood. Why should she be understood? She owed nothing to Shadow. She brought it upon herself.

Cathylus heard the faint voice of Reech. 'Shadows got herself into trouble.' he muttered, and was sad to leave his sunning spot. For about the thousandth time this day he lifted from the ground and headed towards the sand where Reech and Shadow were. He hovered, not wanting his feet to disintegrate. He dared not say anything, in case he messed up and made things worse.

Soon Shadow reached some cool water that seemed to be salty,they didn't have water like this in Oklahoma. She smiled though,it helped her feet out,and said,in the vampire language the female could speak,"Cathylus wanted to follow you,but if I knew this would happen I wouldn't have tagged along." Then she converted back to her normal tongue and cursed under her breath.

Reech smirked, then stood up. "Well, if I knew you were following him, I would have fixed it up for you. Hold on a minute." She lifted her wings up, then pushed them down with a heavy blow, sending all of the sand into a tumble. She finished it off by blowing her cold breath over it to get any stragglers. "You may walk now."

Shadow eyed the female before stepping out onto the sand and sighing as she realized it didn't burn anymore. "Thank you.",she replied in the language she hated.

Cathylus stayed hovering, wide eyed and confused. he hoped what the two were saying wasnt too bad. he needed to learn this language. "Stop talking like that, Reech. She'll go crazy..." He said in Reech's language.

Reech shook her head slowly. "It isn't my fault that she doesn't like that language. We can't all speak the same language, can we? It's not like I have a choice when I need to communicate."

Shadow listened to their strange words,trying to memorize a few words to ask Cathylus later. She wiped her tail across the said in frustration,but showed no other signs of it.

Reech lowered her head. An awkward situation was just too much to bear, and she had certainly landed right smack-dab in the middle of one. Why must it always be so awkward on beaches with cold sand?

(i guess I'll post...)
Cathylus had moved back to his sunning spot on the rock he had visited before. It was evening when the sun was low, and the land around was coated lightly with orangey gold light. To think that this beauty came from a burning ball of gas millions of miles away was hard, but believable. He lay still as a statue, but the occasional flicker of his ear was made. Cathylus would soon have to set off back home, as soon as it was dark. He would have the perfect amount of energy from this sunning.

Shadow was laying close by her friend under an overhang of rock that provided her shade and watched him protectively. She thrummed a soothing song from deep in her throat and tapped her tail to the beat.
(Anyone know this awesome song~ I HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU-THREE DAYS GRACE)
