Sarah snorted. "As if I care what you do to somebody else." She turned her back on them, eyes scanning the far trees. "For someone who looks like Jacob, you sure are a heartless bastard, Luke." On that note, she started to walk away from them. She didn't even notice when her glove slipped off. Jace whistled low under his breath. "Boyfriend? Who's Jacob?" He grinned.

"It's a bet then," Jace beamed after her. He whistled. "Fine as$ she has..." Sarah, without looking at them, stuck the finger and kept walking. Her hand brushed against a bush, a large bush, and it turned to gold. She didn't even notice. Her glove was still lying in front of Luke.

Luke whistled loudly, and yelled out, "OW OW!!! Hey baby! I Let You Be The Judge, And I’ll be The Case" he laughed, then looked down, "hey look, her glove!" he picked it up, "hmmm, i wonder why its not gold too." he muttered under his breath.

Sarah sighed; some boys were so clueless. She looked down at her hand, and her heart stopped for a moment. My glove!? She didn't dare turn back now for it, but she didn't want to keep going without it. She stopped walking, and started to think. ______ Jace only whistled again, eyes tracing over Sarah's curves. "You can live," Sarah breathed. Her throat suddenly felt tight, due to how close Luke was. She tried to look for some innocence in him, but there wasn't any to be seen. He was just a heartless, greedy teenager. Her hopes plummetted.
