((Okay! Students come on the train, and sometimes new teachers (As seen by Lupin, but not with Lockheart or Umbridge or Moody or anyone else XD), but I expect Poly would already be at Hogwarts so just students. I think the other professors have been teaching for a while, since they're all Heads of Houses! Also, if they're on the train, nobody's been sorted yet! So this will be fun, especially since they don't have set cliques yet! I guess I'll start with...the train not yet moving so people can get situated? --Just throwing in all of my students, interact with them as you see fit!)) Heath sighed as he boarded the train, carrying his wand and a small purse made of moke skin his mother had insisted he take with him, Tuss following close by at his feet. He had refused to store the cat with his baggage, as most owls were stored away. His brothers were quick behind him, still laughing about the topic of muggleborn in Hogwarts, a conversation started by their parents who were far too pure in blood to accept such a notion as muggle-born being accepted to a proper wizarding school. Both brothers made their way up to their preferred spot, a few cars that were commonly occupied by Slytherin students. Heath watched them go, but didn't follow. Instead, he moved towards the back and found an empty car to sit in by himself. This was his first year, there were no guarantees as to which house he would be in, and a part of him hoped he wouldn't be placed with his brothers in Slytherin. Though this was a small part, another more prominent part did want to be sorted Slytherin, if only for the fact that it would make his parents proud and give him the chance to visit with his brothers more, allowing him to already know someone from his House. He sat down quietly in the empty car, Tuss jumping up to curl up on his lap and watch the hallway intently. Heath pet the cat absent mindedly, looking out the windows to the busy station he would soon be leaving behind. ----- Kurt practically bounced up and down as he boarded the train, stopping to wave vigorously at his uncle, who smiled proudly at him. Sir Fluffy had been placed with his bags and would be taken care of, though Kurt wished he could cuddle with the big grey beast. He hadn't had Sir Fluffy long, but it didn't take Kurt long to fall in love with things that were cuddly. "Bye!" he called to his uncle, then moved about the train. Curiously, he looked in the cars that were filling up. So many black robes mixed with casual clothing, some students already dressed in their House colors! It was easy to see the groups, though Kurt couldn't quite remember which colors represented each House. He smiled to the groups as he pa.ssed them by, but decided he ought to look for other first years, who were not already set with their friends. He didn't know who he would be stationed with, but he was already excited by the prospect of making new friends! He said "Hi!" in his friendly little manner to everyone he pa.ssed, gaining smiles as well as scowls from the people he spoke to. He found a car that didn't have too many people in it and smiled at the occupants, "Hello! I'm Kurt!" he said, before finding a seat for himself. ----- Whiffer blew a big bubble with his bright green gum, boarding the train with a look of uncertainty. At the moment, he really wished he could have brought his iPod. Unfortunately, his father had refused to let him sneek it on, saying that such Muggle technology was not permitted at Hogwarts. There were a ton of people around, more than he was really used to. Sure, Diagon Alley had plenty of people, but it wasn't quite so concentrated as a train station, it had shops and was stationed outdoors. Not inside a cramped space with students funneling onto a train. He had to move relatively quickly, others needed to get on. He had been early enough that he didn't think it would be quite so packed, but it seemed that when it comes to wizarding schools, people tended to rush and be early and excited to go. Popping his bubble, he moved to an empty car and found a seat by himself, then continued to blow green bubbles. After a few moments of boredom, he shifted his hair to a green shade, bright and vivid, much like the big spheres coming from his mouth.

Cricket quietly shuffled over to a compartment that was empty. or not. A boy, with a cat on his lap, sat in there. "Mind if I sit in here?" she asked brightly, her blue eyes examining the boy. "if not, it's completely fine, though I probably will label you as a meanie, which is very judgemental of me, don't you think? But of course, if you are a meanie, and I label you as a meanie, then I would be correct." She glanced at the cat in his lap. "Oh! a cat! I love cats, though my mom, stepmom, actually- is allergic to cats, so I had to get an owl. Cats make her face get itchy and she sneezes a lot. She's my step-mom because I grew up a an orphanage. I have a stepdad, too. I didn't know they were wizards until I was seven, and I didn't know I was a wizard until I was seven. Are you first year, too? I hope I'll be in Ravenclaw... 'wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure', though I'm fine with any which one except Slytherin. That's where the meanies go. Did I offend you because you want to be sorted into Slytherin? If so, I'm terribly sorry. I'm not a Slytherin liker that much. Are you pure-blood? Most pure-bloods go into Slytherin, don't know why...." she paused, looking expectantly at the boy with her large, ice blue eyes. "Oh, right!" she exclaimed. "I'm Lannah, but most people call me Cricket. And who are you?"

"Goodbye mom! Goodbye dad! Goodbye Becca!!" An excited eleven year old said to his family as he boarded the train. He got back a salute from his father, a blown kiss from his mother, and a death glare from his sister. The kid named Aber walked onto the train, a sad look on his face because his sister still hated him over the whole 'acceptance' issue. He paused and started walking down the crowded hall in the train. He could already tell friendships were forming between groups of people, though he hadn't met a person yet. He paused at a compartment, looking in. In was relatively empty. As to say, there was one person in there who gave him a very cold look as he entered. "May I sit in here?" The timid boy asked.
"No." The other boy replyed, not even looking at Aber.
"Oh... Okay," He said, slightly hurt at the reply. He shrugged it off though and looked in another compartment. It had only two people, one boy and a girl that was rapidly talking, more like rambling. "Do you guys mind if I sit in here? I can't seem to find another compartment..." ~
Tyler sneered at his parents as he got onto the train. Be careful? Fat chance. Stay out of trouble? Yeah right, hadn't they been there the whole 11 years of hell he gave them? Those... 'parents' of mine still don't know how to act towards me. You think they would have learned. He said to himself, rolling his eyes in time. He walked down the isles, peering in different compartments as he went along. He noticed the people he would, and would not want to be around, just from their introductions. Finally, he found a fairly empty spot. It was a lone boy with green hair and green bubblegum. "Oi, mind if I sit here with you?" He asked the boy, glancing down at his nails.

"Oh, hello," Cricket blinked rapidly, not in a flutter-eyelashes way, but in a hi-nice-to-meet-you way. "I don't know, you're going to have to ask him." she pointed to Heath. "I came in here, looking for a seat, and I asked him if I could sit here, so you don't ask me, you ask him because it's his compartment, not mine. Actually, it's the train's compartment, but you know what I mean. Does the train belong to the school, or does it just go back and forth because it gets paid? Oh, the train dousn't get paid, that's not what I meant but the driver ofthe train gets paid. Did you get any money for the food trolley? I have five galleons. I think I'm going to get a few chocolate frogs. I'm going to collect them, are you going to? My mom- stepmom actually, I already explained that to the boy there- collected them, and she gave me Merlin to start with. I wonder what our headmaster is going to be like. I bet he has a beard, a looong beard, and he's over a hundred years old." she stopped for a breath. "I'm Lannah, but call me Cricket, please."

"May I sit down?" A young girl, 11 years old, to be exact was staring down at her sister who was staring up at her with a dirty look on her face. "Not until you tell me why the heck there is a toad on my lap." The other girl answered, looking downward at the slime covered toad on her pristine new robes.Feyth sighed as she saw her cat get up and start chasing the green ball of slime all around the cabin, making Leyna squeal in disgusr, "Honestly, you don't even act like me, how are we twins." Feyth ignored Leyna's cries for help and sat down across from her twin, opening her sketchbook. Her pencil flew across the pad as the toad and cat danced and hopped across the cabin's wooden floor. The train jolted, making Feyth's pad slide off her lap and slam into the toad, who promptly fell over, letting Dusk, the cat, snatch it up and eat it, while Dusk's twin brother, Hawthorn, stared at her in a dusgusted way. Dusk ignored her brother's twitching whiskers and sat down to eat the frog, which turned out to be a catnip treat that had been transfigured. "You are gross." Leyna said to Dusk as she ate. "Hey, bug off, its just catnip." the spell that the nice cabin lady had laid on it was wearing off and the frog was melting into a long stick of catnip, suprising Feyth's loyal familiar. "Ita alright Dusk, its still good." Feyth laughed as her cat started to paw the thing, wondering why itwas now long and skinny. Deciding it was still safe, the she-cat bent down and gobbled it up. ------------------------- "Leave me alone!" "Oh comne on, I just want to try and see your future!" A boy with blonde hair tore his hand from a young witch's grasp and the girl pouted, staring at the boy with a confused look. "Don't you wanna know your future?" She asked and the boy shook his head, not entirely sold on the idea that someone could actually see into the future. He shrank into the seat and began to read his book while the girl stared at him with sudden interest. "Your a mudblood, aren't you?" She hadn't meant it as an insult, it was a word she had learned from her parents, who were both magical, and she didn't really know that it was bad. She instantly felt bad when tears sprung to Quin, the boy's, eyes. "I-I'm sorry!" She called after Quin as he ran crying out of the cabin and into the one at the far end of the train. She sighed, there went her big mouth,,,, again.

Heath was, well, to start he was surprised. Not because someone had entered the car, there were several cars on the train but he had expected most would be filled with several people and he certainly didn't think that he would end up having a car all to himself. What surprised him was that the girl who asked to enter didn't seem to stop there. No sir, she continued to talk on and on! She mentioned her step mother being allergic to cats, her being in an orphanage, wanting to be in Ravenclaw, and that he would be a meanie if he didn't permit her to sit with him. Not to mention that meanies were for Slytherin. Heath really didn't know how to deal with people, especially someone like...Lannah. "Of course," he said eventually, motioning to the empty seats in the car. He also nodded when the second person came in, this time a boy who asked to sit with them. He honestly didn't own anything about the car, but he did suppose that being first gave him the right to refuse? "I am Heathcoat Warrington," he said when he was able to get a word in. "Heath is easier," as if they couldn't tell, but at least it gave them the opportunity to use the shortened name. He nodded to the boy who entered also, though he was already uncomfortable. He hadn't ever dealt with anyone quite like Lannah before. Or, Cricket, apparently. "I do not intend to be a 'meanie'," he said simply, "but I do not quite agree with your belief of Slytherin House. My older brothers are in Slytherin, and I do not believe that they could quite be termed 'meanies' either." But perhaps that was just his brotherly bond? ----- Whiffer looked up when a boy entered the car and asked if he minded being sat with. He offered a shrug and leaned back, "Nope," he said before blowing another bright green bubble. The boy didn't quite seem to be interested in anything beyond the seat, so he wasn't going to offer up to much. Didn't want to get off on the wrong foot in case this boy was on the anti-social side.

"Well, Heath, I'm Aber Noonan." Aber said with a small grin. He took the seat across from the boy, next to the window. He just liked to look at the pa.ssing landscape. He paused and looked at the other two. One seemed to be hyper beyond belief, and the other just looked plain uncomfortable. "So..." He said finally, "What house do you wish to be in?" He asked the pair. ~ Tyler paused and took a seat across from the boy. He gave a small smirk as he watched a bird almost hit the side of the train. What type of idiotic bird would do that, he thought. "I'm Tyler Bakman," He said after a moment, realizing that he never fully introduced himself. "And... Did you dye your hair green?" He asked, noticing it was almost the same exact shade as the gum he was chewing.

((I'll wait for Moon to post with Cricket before posting Heath again!)) The bird seemed mildly interesting to Whiffer. Why was there a bird flying around so close to the train? Still, it was only mildly interesting, and as the bird managed to right itself he ignored it. The boy across from him seemed to be talking again. Tyler Bakman. He was from a pureblood line, if Whiffer wasn't mistaken. The kind that would have liked his father and his long pureblood line up until the man married his muggle wife and sired a son. But perhaps that was jumping to conclusions? He nodded, "Corvus Whifferdill. But I tend to go by Whiffer." The Whifferdills were a long pureblood line, his father the only of his six brothers and sisters to break the purity of their blood by marrying a muggle. Not that they particularly cared, they weren't purists or whatever it was most purebloods were. He blew another big bubble after the boy asked if he had dyed his hair green. "Nope. I don't use products," he said simply. Though, wizarding products tended to be different from muggle products, it still required some goop to change hair color, some potion or herbological concoction, if that was even a word. "Why? Do you dye yours?" he asked. Perhaps it wasn't the most polite question, but it was what the boy had asked him first. Even if Tyler Bakman had more of a reason to ask him, as Whiffer's locks were an unnatural shade of green. Unnatural even for a wizard.

"Oh, thank you! I was really hoping you would say yes, because if you hadn't I would have had to gone to another compartment and say the whhhholllle introductory thing again!" she let out a big sigh, and sat down. "can I pet the cat, or does it scratch? I almost got scratched by a cat once, when I was seven, I was in our- my stepmom, stepdad, and my- backyard, and it's huuuge, by the way, but the cat turned into a bird before it could attack me. I was so scared that it was going to scratch me, I hate getting scratched. That's when my stepmom and stepdad discovered I was a witch! I hope I'm a muggleborn, because then I can feel proud that I was sort of 'chosen' by God or something to be a witch. But then people would make fun of me..." she giggled. "so if I am a muggleborn, then nobody would know and I'd be special wouldn't I?" Cricket inspected Heath. "I bet you're a pureblood! Most purebloods aren't really purebloods, one of them, at least one, probably married a muggle. hre did the term 'muggle' come from? Maybe it's some word in another language or something." she shrugged. "I wonder what spells we're going to learn! I looked at all my books, and I think I can do one of them." she took out herwand, made out of oak with dragon heartstring, and pointed it at the cat, saying loud and clearly, "wingardium leviosa!" For a few seconds, nothing happened, then the cat hovered about a foot in the air. "I think I'm pretty good, don't you think?" she asked, putting away her wand. "do you know how to do any spells yet?" ((I love Cricket, because of her talking, I can make her posts really good size. she's basically a mix of Luna Lovegood and Anne Shirley.))

Heath glanced at the boy, blinked once, then frowned slightly, "I don't believe I prefer any one house above the others," he said simply. He would like them each for various reasons, and probably dislike them for the same. He knew which one his family would prefer, and he knew which ones they would likely come close to disowning him for. Did everyone have to have a preference before being Sorted? The notion seemed familiar enough, both his brothers had expected Slytherin, and though there were still two years before his sister would be admitted but he was certain she likely also wanted Slytherin. Perhaps he was the odd one? The girl was speaking again. Heath had to literally focus on what she was saying just to try to keep up with it all. He shook his head, "Being a pure blood does not change if you marry a muggle. Your chlidren would not be pure blooded, but I hardly think that's of importance if you decide to marry a muggle. I would be considered a pureblood though, no one in my family has married a muggle, least of all my parents. Perhaps generations ago, but none are living currently," not that he was proud of that facr or even held it with any importance at all. Who people married and bred with was their own concern, not his. He opened his mouth to say something to her about spells when she suddenly whipped her wand out and pointed it at Tuss. She used the levitating spell, and the bengal floated up in the air. He was not at all pleased with this. Tuss, usually such a mild mannered and friendly beast, pinned his ears back and hissed at the girl, not stopping his growling and hissing spurt until Heath actually plucked him from the air and held onto him gently, frowning at the girl. There was a sudden dislike for her for using magic on Tuss. It simply was not polite. "I know a few," he said, rather shortly at her, his hand gently rubbing poor Tuss, who had stopped hissing but still had his ears pinned back and was glaring at the girl with his tail twitching. It wasn't common for cats, especially Tuss, to be used in spells. Toads and mice were more preferrable for such things. ((Just letting you know, but using other people's pets is the same as using one of their characters, and can be considered godmoding. Tuss, being magical, was not necessarily likely to float, but meh, it's fun this way too.))

"Oh, I'm sorry," Cricket frowned. "what's the cat's name? He, she? well, whatever gender it is, it's very pretty." Cricket probably would have tried to pet the cat, but it was currently glaring at her. "I'm sorry," she said, blinking at the cat. She looked back up at Heath. "do you know why I blinked? If you bl ink at a cat, it's basically saying 'I like you' or, 'I'm sorry', or maybe even 'you're awesome, you know that?', so hopefully, because I blinked her, or she, will accept my opology." She looked out the window. "How long do you think it'll take to get there? Oh, and then we'll have to ride in the boats. My stepmum told me about that. I wonder who the teachers are... I hope they're nice, or at least, they don't punish too roughly."

((Feyth: Each of my guys is in a different cabin. Heath is with Aber and Cricket, Whiffer is with Tyler, and Kurt was with some unnamed people, but since none of your characters responded to his greeting it's not the same car as them. Moon: I'm going to wait till Shaste posts with Aber before I reply with Heath <3 Winter: Hello! When Shaste gets here she can say whether or not you can join and all that <3 She's the...starter of the RP? Guess the RP Leader? Sure, that's what I'll call her. The RPL. East: Bones! I love that show. Dunno why I didn't realize the name similarity XD Prolly cuz Bones is a Dr. Brennan! So far, not a lot has happened. They are on the train, and it has just started moving (though you could RP getting on still and no one would mind). Tyler and Whiffer are in a car by themselves so far talking about dyed hair, Kurt is introducing himself to unnamed unclaimed characters and asking if he can sit with them, the twins are talking to each other in their own cabin with the cat eating a catnip frog, Feyth's Seer girl (her name isn't mentioned in the post) is running off after Quinn whom she just insulted without thinking about it, and Aber, Heath, and Cricket are in a car where Heath is uncomfortable, Cricket is talking a lot, Aber seems amused, and Cricket just levitated poor Tuss (Heath's cat), which has rather irritated both Heath and Tuss, so she's a bit in the doghouse in their opinion. There! I think I summed everything up! =D))

OoC; I'm obsessed. xD Brennan will be seen on the train:P BiC; Professor Brennan moved from her compartment wanting to take a look at her new students as well as change into her robes. She loved teaching DADA, and also liked to meet her studenst before cl*censored*es start. Wand at her side, bags floating behind her she made her way from the near front of the train, towards the back, where she knew their was a bathroom compartment. Smiling at all the students, from first year to NEWT students, she waved and smiled. -- Katarzyna went to a compartment that didn't look full, and asked Heath, Cricket, and Amber, "Can I sit with you guys?" OoC; Failure for Katarzyna sorry xD
