Madera returned his attention to the deer, eager to eat it. This would be the first deer he had had since he was chased out of his old pack. His teeth flashed in the sunlight as he tore into the deer. As he ate he watched Aidan out of the corner of his eye. He waved his tail at the pup to try to tell him to come over here and eat. Hopefully he would get the idea. Madera didn't really want to take his muzzle away from this deer right now.

Walking into the camp, Pop looked around to see her pups running toward her. Trotting over to them, she caught a glimpse of Shadow, Fisher, and Denali. Howling a hello to them, she nuzzled her pups and headed for the cave she and her pups sleeps in.
"Alright my pups, time for a nap." Pop said, her and her pups yawning. |

[Minder her den is in the side of a cliff with a this little path.......]
Spirit trotted to her den, the tip of her tounge out as a sign of how tired she was. She trotted down the thin path that led to her den and yawned. She stretched out and looked over the edge. The wind blew rapidly and she stood their, looking at the river that was more than 300 feet below her. She began to turn back, but slipped.
She landed on a small ledge, about 50 feet away from the den.
Once she landed she let a loud yelp, pain flowing through her body like a wave washing over her. Her breathing felt back for a minuet or two, trying to hold her breath from the pain.

Aidan briefly understood Maderas signal but eventually got it clearly, so walked up to the carcass and tore into the chest of the deer. The skin folded back and Aidan shoved his muzzle inside the deers ribs and pulled out the heart, liver and lungs. He tore the arteries off the heart and grabbed the liver, then offered both of the rich pieces of meat to Shadow. Alphas always got the best meal and he kept to that law. He then tore off one rib and gnawed happily at the venissen on the Bone. Denali almost yelped in delight as Fisher motioned for him to eat. He immediately tore into the flank of the deer to reveal a large chunk of muscle that he ripped out and went to a tree to eat by himself. He lay down and eat the piece of muscle as if he had never eaten before.

Waking up from a nap, Pop quietly creeped out her cave and felt her belly growl. She walked cutely over to the fresh kill and picked a rabbit. Picking up the rabbit, she walked off toward a nearby river and sat, eating greedily.
Thinking about her pups, she smiled brightly. Finishing her rabbit, she took a sip of water and headed back to camp. When she got back she saw one of her pups ,Lila, sitting outside. "Lila, what are you doing out of the cave?" Pop asked, curling up around her pup. "Mom, I wanted to see the outside. And also I was thinking of asking Shadow a few questions." Lila said, looking straight into her mom's eyes. |

Madera ripped at the flesh of the deer, ripping chunks of meat out of it. He didn't bother going for the organs since he didn't really like the way they tasted, and instead stuck to meat and fat on the abdomen. He probably would have kept on eating until the deer was nothing more than bones, but a distant yipe caught his attention. He looked up in the direction of the noise, but no other similar sounds followed it. This didn't stop his curiosity though, and he made a mental note to go check out that area when he was done eating.

Shadow nodded her head at Aidan and then gratefully ate the delicious meat before quietly watching as her new pack ate their meal. She could wait until later to eat and she knew that.

Smiling back and getting up, Lila padded over to Shadow.
"Hi Shadow. I was meaning to ask you if you could me a lesson on hunting or so. I really need to get out of the cave more often" Lila asked. |

Upon arriving at a cliff she saw and mangled female lying on a ledge and raced over to her. "Are you alright?"

Madera looked up as Shadow ran off in the direction of the noise. She must be really worried about it if she didn't even bother to eat before going. Well, he didn't want her to go alone so it looked like he would have to abandon the deer for now. He had eaten enough. He glanced at Aidan, not sure whether or not the pup would want to follow him. He decided to leave the decision to him. He needed to catch up with Shadow before she left his sight.
Madera ran after Shadow, frowning as his stomach complained. It wanted him to lie down in the sun and rest which he couldn't do when he was following Shadow. His stomach would just have to get over itself. He skidded to a stop when he noticed Shadow had suddenly stopped. He trotted closer to her, panting as he looked at who she was talking to. She was a young wolf who look to be around his age and she was definitely injured if her ex
pression was anything to go by. She didn't seem to be bleeding too badly so she hadn't been attacked by something. He assumed that she fell and hurt herself. This area had more than enough steep slopes for something like that to happen. " Is she okay? " he asked Shadow, out of politeness more than anything else.

She couldn't say and thing. All she could do was whimper as she lied their. She tried holding her breath to take the pain away, but still wouldn't work. She couldn't move at all. Something was broke, unsure what, she already knew something was.
