(I'm skipping to the next day. Maybe they can find Aidan and Madera now.)
Shadow traveled farther than normal this morning as the sun was beginning its climb into the sky. She had left the developing pack behind and soon caught scent of two male wolves nearby. They appeared to be sleeping when she stumbled upon them and smiled a bit. The young one smelled like Denali and was probably his brother.
I\'m extremely sorry for my absence. I\'ve been very busy and was recently attacked by 3 dogs and am currently recovering.

Madera glanced down at Aidan, and snorted when he didn't back up before pushing him away with his back leg. He wasn't letting that pup get his face shredded because he wanted to act brave. This was no rabbit they were dealing with. As he looked back up as a large white and silver animal lunged at him with a shriek. Madera instinctively twisted hiis head and grabbed the animal's throat, biting down hard with a growl and the badger writhing and clawed at him. Luckily his thick fur kept it from doing much damage, but he still got a few good rake marks on his shoulders and chest. He swung his head back and forth, trying to break the badger's neck, but it struggled on, trying to destroy anything within the reach of its claws. Eventually the beast was still and Madera let go of it. Not wanting to waste, he ate a large portion of the badger, leaving some for Aidan before curling up in the hollow tree to sleep.

Aidan yelped as he was pushed back. He fell and was on the floor, and what made it more torturous was the fact that there were growls. "NO NO NO! DENALI, NO!" he shouted, but soon the fight ended. Aidan's eyes rolled once or twice before he collapsed completely. He was sleeping.
Denali awoke before most of the 'pack.' shadow had gone. He stretched out and sat up, his eyes half closed and his brain still half asleep. He yawned and sneezed as he emerged out of the den and into the sunlight.

(Aw! Animals sneezing is surprisingly cute.)
Shadow saw the young male tossing and turning in his sleep and heard him yell Denali. So this was the wolves brother,good,and she planned on bringing him to the developing pack,along with his companion.

Madera woke with a started, jumping to his paws the moment he saw the other wolf. Unfortunately, he forgot he was in a small space and slammed his head against the top of the hollow with a yelp. He shook his head, trying to clear his head as he stumbled out to defend Aidan. " Whatdya want? " He asked as his head throbbed. He hated sleeping in small spaces. He was never doing that again.

Shadow tried her best to smile and answered,"Just thought I would ask you something. Would you like to join my pack?" The question just spilled out before she could trap it in her throat and she wondered what the male would say.

(my hamster sneezed this morning. i agree, it is very cute)
Aidan woke up to see a large black wolf with a scar over its right eye. "Aah!" he yelped, then Madera leapt in front of him. He whimpered. How much scarier could life possibly get?

Shadow tried to smile at the wolf pup and said,"You smell just like him." She didn't know if the wolf would know who she was talking about,but sure hoped so.

Madera was confused. If this wolf belonged to a pack, then why was she here alone? Was she the alpha? He didn't have any way of telling, and for all he knew she could be a loner trying to trick him for some reason. But...no, she was no loner. He could smell the scents of other wolves on her. There were at least four others. He looked down at Aidan, who was practically quivering with fear, and looked back at Shadow as he said, " Hey, you mind backing up a little? You're scaring Aidan. "

Shadow nodded her head and took four steps back before answering the pup,"Your brother,I believe,joined my pack. His name is Denali." She sat down and watched the two,silently thinking and listening to what Fisher and Dark and Spirit might say to going out alone,without them knowing.

Aidan's blood froze and his heart stopped for a second. Denali...? Really? That wimp which always acted tough had joined a pack with the scariest alpha ever? Aidan came back to life a few seconds later. He wouldn't speak. He couldnt, anyway.

Madera looked down at Aidan and asked, " Well pup, is this true? Do you have a brother names Denali? " He figured if the pup did have a brother, then it would be unkind to keep the two separated but if he didn't decide to let Aidan go with Shadow, then he was coming with him. He had already decided to protect Aidan and that decision didn't suddenly vanish just because there were a few more wolves around. Besides, it would be nice to live the pack life again.

Wisdom was stalking rabbits in the woods. Then she saw Shadow and 2 other wolves. She was overhearing their conversation. She didn't know much about Denali.

Shadow watched the pup as he seemed to freeze for a few seconds and tried her best to smile once more. "It's best you answer him,young wolf.",she told the pup,trying no to sound threatening.

Aidan gathered up enough courage, surprisingly, to speak. "yes... Denali is my brother... You see... There was a bear... Growling and rearing up... Denali fleed... he... Abandoned me..." He explained in fewest words. He then was into the mood of talking and answered shadows question about joining the pack and seeing Denali. "Uh... Uh... Maybe... Only if... Madera comes with me... I'm not leaving him..."

Madera paused, making sure not to answer too quickly. He didn't want to seem desperate. " Sure, " He said, hoping he was actually making his way into a half decent pack. If this was some tangled up mess of starving wolves then he wouldn't be sticking around long. However, by the looks of the wolf in front of him, this pack had decently fed members, and if the rest were this big and muscular, then he could start eating deer again! He loved deer. Deer was the best meat ever.
