(Wonderful! And sorry for the late response-- I had major writer's block, and couldn't think of a good character for the life of me.)
Name: Oralith

Age: Young Adult
Looks: A petite young griffin with thick, very dark brown fur and black feathers.
Personalty: Rp out

Markings: Goldish swirly stripes on her back and forehead.
Type of Griffin: Lesser marsh griffin
Crush: None
Mate: None
Other: She usually carries a satchel around her neck which contains string, interesting rocks, fish skins, a large collection of paper wasp nests, and other such things.
History: She was raised in a small colony of lesser marsh griffins that lived, surprisingly, in the middle of vast marshlands. When they reach a certain age, it is customary for these griffins to go off to another colony to settle down. Unfortunately, Oralith got lost on her way to her new colony, and is now just wandering around in hopes of finding a colony or at least somewhere to live.

There was a fluttering of feathers and muttered curses as a small griffin spiraled down from the sky. Her dark feathers were ruffled from hours of flight, contrasting sharply with the sleekness of the fish-skin satchel she wore around her neck.
"Claeé was right," she fumed. "I've got the navigation skills of a bat at noon! Even with the best maps in the world I still end up hopelessly turned around! Now then--" She broke off when she noticed the two other griffins.
"Oh, hello! You wouldn't happen to know the way to the Lablend Swamps by any chance? I was supposed to arrive there months ago only... er, I got lost. In broad daylight. Um. Yeah. I'm Oralith, by the way."
