Logan sighed impatiently and leaned against the smooth graffiti covered wall. He was kind of tired, and he honestly didn't want to wait for his extremely slow cousin, Jade, any longer. He turned, tempted to walk into the girl's restroom, but decided against it; it would surely be unwise. "Uh, Are you done yet Jade?" he called, his barefeet playing with the sand beneath them. At one point in time, he was tired of wearing his flip flops and had sat down. He was positive if she made him wait any longer, he would definitely fall asleep.He heard an odd cry, followed by uncertainty. "I feel weird wearing this!" his cousin called back to him from her restroom stall. He sighed, wanting her to just be over with changing. Why did women have to take so long while changing? Honestly, men could change and be ready in seconds!

Jade walked out of the restroom, her head low, as she approached wearing a plain purple bikini. She looked surprisingly good, and Logan couldn't help but smile at her. "You look nice." he beamed. A small blush crossed Jade's face, as they walked together in the direction of the water. They lay out their beach towels in the brilliantly white sand, before Logan turned to smile at Jade. "There aren't many people here today. Would you like to go swimming?" he asked. She timidly shook her head and watched him as he walked towards the beautiful waves, surfboard in hand.

Jade watched some of the other people here. She stayed in her little space on her towel, watching also as Logan attempted to catch a wave. The waves weren't that big though, and he was mainly sitting and waiting on the water. She sighed and crossed her legs. She decided to play in the sand a little bit.

She walked to just where the waves lapped at the shore and squatted down, resting a hand on her knees. She watched as the water floated past her ankles, little Vs left as the water fell back. She dug with her finger,s picking up a little squirming crab. It tickled her hand at first, when the small crab tried to dig into her hand. It was a mole crab; she'd learned how to find them a couple years ago. Feeling a connection to nature, she really only liked to spend her time smelling the flowers or playing with the crabs and birds and fishies.

"Heyyyy, do you know the way? I don't even know where to go..." she said as she layed back.

"I can't believe you talked my into this." William said in his New Orleans drawl. He was walking behind his childhood friend carrying all her stuff.

"Oh c'mon Will. Its the perfect weather for the beach." Karienne said as she spun around to looked at her tall blonde friend. Laughin as she watched him stumble around in the sand with a bag of her cloths, towels, a cooler and a beach ball. "You know if you hadn't insisted on blowing the ball up in the car this wouldn't have happened.

Logan sighed as he caught a small wave to shore. He placed his board down and sat beside Jade in the sand, a small smile on her face. "Playing with crabs again, I see?" he asked, a hidden chuckle of amusement in his voice.

Jade nodded and let another crab cross over her hand. She gently placed it back into the wet sand, sitting back from her squatting position. "No good waves?" she asked in her usually quite voice. Her cousin could really only shrug in reply. Jade's eyes strayed to some other people here. It wasn't a really large beach; there seemed to be some commotion going on a little ways away. Logan had mentioned somethign about a party or something, but as usual, she really didn't take it into consideration. She was more of the "quiet, away from large groups" people.She knew that Logan understood she was just that way; she sort of always had been.

"Are we going to that party thing?" she asked timidly, a peace to her voice that brought Logan to relax a little more. "Only if you really want to." he yawned, sheilding his eyes from the bright sun. The water felt amazing underneath the magnificent rays of sunlight. JAde shrugged. She honestly didn't care.
