"Huh..." Rukiea was staring into the woods. "Oh, um... Jake and I came from the same place.... actually, we are brother and sister...." Rukiea looked around then back into the woods. "He was very little when out mom and dad were killed. I had to take care of him and do lots of other things... Back where we settled, he protected us and never let anything or anyone hurt me. He thought he was all tough and stuff... but he was very fagile and easy to upset...." Rukiea drifted off.

Jake sat on the river bed and poured water onto his hair and clothes. "Stupid girl.... " Jake kept washing and hadn't noticed the guards starting to partol. |
