Jake looked at Leita. "i'm sure. If she sees me, she might cry. I don't want her crying if I die...." Jake firmly said. He began walkin and looked back. "Rukiea, please forgive me." Rukiea shut the door and sat back down. "Jay, do you think I should have gone with him?" She asked as tears escaped her red eyes. |

And what about me? Do you think I won't cry if you die? Leita thought. "You won't die. Sam and I won't let that happen." "I think you were right to stay here. That's what Jake wanted you to do. It would have made it harder on him if you went." |

Jake looked at Leita. "Thanks, and I know you would cry as well, but she's my sister. It would be much harder on her." He looked at the sky as the sun set. Rukiea stood up and knelt by Jay. She put her head on his shoulder. "Your probuably right, but I just feel like I should have gone." Tears began to run down her cheeks again.My only brother, could die any moment....... |

Rukiea looked at Jay and smiled slightly. "Thanks Jay." She hugged Jay and sontinued to sob a little. Jake looked back at the two. "We might make it to the border in one day.... if we hurry." He coughed and some blood came out. His eye's widened. Not again |

Jake glared at Sam. "No, i am okay. This happens often in this state." Jake somtinued to walk. Rukiea felt Jay's hand stroking her hair. She looked up at him and blushed. |

Rosalie was running slowly because her dress kept tripping her up. She crashede into Sam, knoking both of them to the ground. "Sorry!", She cried, righting herself and offering Sam a hand, blushing.

"Jake!", Rosalie cried out in alarm and sadness, "Oh, dear, what has happened to you?! Of corse I will come! Oh, poor boy... You're dying.... Jake..." Rosalie's world wasreeling. Jake was dying. She was so upset, that she was compelled to do something she hadn't dreamed of doing. She began crying softly, walked up to Jake, and hugged him, still crying. She felt his heart beating in an odd rythem, not one of a well person. He was almost dead...

Jake felt the hug and was alarmed. His heart pounded oddly and not as well as it should be pounding. He felt like he was going to die. He tried to look at Rosalie but was afraid of what her reaction might be. He simply stood still. It felt like the longest time in his life. Jake's life was already in the hands of fait and the group.

Rosalie released Jake, noting that he was tensing up, and probably feeling uncomfortable. "Sorry...", she mumbled, stepping away.

Jake heard Maybell and quickly turned around. "No, if I die, do not tell Rukiea." His eyes were duling from their goldish color. He felt a little faint but kept firm. "Look, I will NOT die on my way there. You can help by not slowing down or telling Rukiea."

Rosalie nodded andquickened her pace. Oh, poor Jake... He was almost dead... You could tell by looking at the poor boy... "Jake...", Rosalie stammered, "I... I won't loose you... I won't let you or Rukia down... No.... I... I'd be heartbroken if you died... So would everyone else... Oh Jake..."

((Its okay with me. Jake has a little bit of feeling for Rose. but since Leita was first to catch his attention he liked her more. Actually, he like bothe about the same. ^^)) Jake wiped some blood from the corner of his mouth and smiled. "Thanks. I couldn't have asked for anytthing more." Jake noticed something up ahead. No, not now...... He wieled his sword and let go of his side. No more blood came up, but he was a little tired from spitting up so much. |

"What is it, Jake?!", Rosalie asked, putting a hand on the boy's shoulder, eyes becoming wide. The king's army marched over the horizon. They were coming. For the Vipers. For them. "Jake, leita, go. I'll distract them. Go! Now! Jake's only chance is to escape...", Rosalie shouted, chocking back tears and putting her other hand on Jake's sword.

Jake pulled his sword away. "No. I cannot let anybody die here. I messed many things ups. But this will not be a failure." Jake's eyes were firmly fixed on the army and his grip tightened on his sword. He felt a little strength pulse through his body. This will not happen again. His golden eyes truned red and his grip tightened even more. Rukiea, even thoug she was sad, got up from Jay's grasp. something bad is going ot happen. I just know it. She felt a strong urge to go after Jake. However, she didn't want to defy his wish. "Jay, i am sorry. I must leave you here alone for a little bit." Rukiea's eyes were fixed on the door. She kissed Jay's lips and ran out the door. Please hope i am not too late. |

"I will not let YOU die, Jake. Go!", Rosalie ordered the boy, in a voice that usually ended all argument. What a sight. Two people arguing over who fights and who runs, while an army aproaches...
