Jake growled and stood up. "I can kill more than a mosquito in my condition." His eyes flared darker red. Shay walked back in and frowned. "Jakey, sit down." She smiled adn walked over to Rosalie. She placed a wet towel on her head and placed some medicine by her bed. "When she wakes up, give this to her." She looked at Zane. "Ookay, Jakey, your turn" She walked over ot jake and gave him a shot in his forarm. |

Rosalie stirred and awoke to see a girl and her two friends in a small shack. Medicine was on a tray near the cot she lay on. Her body felt like it was on fire, and her head was throbbing. "Who's she?", Rosalie asked, pointing weakly at Shay.

Jake winced in pain but managed to speak. "This is Shay. She taked care of me when my illness strikes really badly." He paused as she stuck another shhot in his leg. "Well, drink the medicine...." He pointed to the cup by Rosalie. Shay grew upset that Jake could talk to Rosalie so cassualy. She began to shove another shot into his other leg. Jake slapped the shot out of her hand and jumped up. "What are you trying ot do!? Hurt me! Kill ME!" His eyes flared darker red. |

Rosalie was worried. She did not trust this Shay girl. She smelled the medicine to see what was in it, and her eyes widened in surprise. "Why did you put Poinsettia leaf extract in this?", She asked Shay angrily. "Calm down, Jake!", Zane said, attempting to cool down his angry friend. "Wait, Poinsettia?!", Zanec ried out in shock, "That's deadly!" |

Jake snatched the cup up and sniffed it as well. "You DID put Poinsettia in it. What The Hell are you trying to do SHAY!" He could no longer hold him anger. He bounded out the door and poured out the medicine. He came back in and slammed the cup on the table. "Shay, I trusted you.... How do I know you didnt poison ME!" He fell back on the floor. Shay smirked. "Yes, I did put poinsettia in there." She glared at Rosalie. "I don't like you handing out with Jakey. and I know how you feel so back off!" She liked Jake a lot and had no problem with admitting she was trying to poison Rosalie. |

"Jake!", Rosalie and Zane cried out simaultaniously. Rosalie hopped off of the bed, glaring at Shay. "Jake...", Rosalie whispered, feebley lifting her friend's head into her lap, feeling for a pulse. She barely felt one. Shay had even gone to the length of poisoning the one she loved, just so Rosalie couldn't have him. "You... He's dying! He has minutes to live..., Rosalie said, tears coming to her eyes. "Shay!, Zane boomed, walking up to her and clamping on to her wrist. "I am the prince of this land, and you are under aresst!" |

Jake felt Rosalie under him. "Damn you SHay.... If I die... Roalie, be sure Rukiea kills her...." He growled and looked at Shay. "You..... your nothing but a brat to me. I never Liked you. I only thought of you as one of my healers. Nothing more." His course voice was strained. Shay freed her wrist from Zane's grip. "Look, your the Prince in your land. Not here. You crossed the border, Zane." She smiled, but when Jake said those words, her smile disappeared. "What!? I thought you liked me as a child." Jake sat up. "No, I NEVER LIKE YOU. Read my lips, listen to what i'm saying. DO i have to spell it out for you! I NEVER LIKE YOU AT ALL!!!!" His eys flared deep red and he stood up. The same rush of energy has returned. He stayed facing Shay, his eyes began to dull. |

"She was...", Rosalie replied angrily, turning to face Sam, "She tried to poison me as well... Poinsettia leaf.... Ground into our medicine... Oh, I have a feaver, if you haven't noticed... Jake's not got much time left... His other sickness is cured, but he has been poisoned... There is an antidote, but he was given two or three shots before I found the poison in my own medicine... Thank God I was cautious... Or I'd already be dead...."

"I don't know where the antidote is, okay! It's a very rare herb that only grows in the coldest of regions!", Rosalie practically shouted, fighting back tears, "I.. I really like Jake, and I'm not feeling well... I..." With that, Rosalie fainted again. "Oi, Rosalie has a horrible feaver, and her boyfriend is dying... Can it get any worse?, Zane grumbled, picking Rosalie up and placing her back on the bed. |
