Rukiea held her sword point to Sam's neck. "Look.... Sam, I never trust anyone with Jake. I always checked his medicine. Now, I left him in your hands and you failed." Her eyed filled with tears but anger still showed. She truned to Shay. "You will die......." Jake looked at Rukiea from the floor and tugged her pants. "Listen, nobody knew. I didnt know. So, just make an antidote please." Jake began to slip into unconciousness. |

"You're just wasting time." Leita said from behind. She had finally come back inside and heard most of what was said. "Jake's dying and all you are worried about is who to blame. If you really cared for him, you would make the antidote and then worry about who did this to him."

Rukiea glared at Leita. "Well, it's none of your business why i even bother to ask." She growled and started mixing certain plants. "By the way, someone, kill Shay." Her eyes turned bright gold again. Jake smiled. "Thanks Leita, Rukiea. Everyone." |

Sam raised his eyebrows. "Not me." He said softly so that Rukiea couldn't hear him. He gave a slight smile. Leita walked over to Rukiea. "I'm sorry. It's just that, he could die at anytime and you weren't doing anything to help." |

Rukiea smiled. "Well, i am sorry as well. I can't stand the fact that I always need to know who and what." She kept Mixing. She truned around adn tossed her sword to Sam. "Kill her Sam." She spun arounda and began to mix once more. "It's almost done." Jake cluched his stomach and began to slip into unconciousness again.Stay, awake. For everyone. Especaily....... Jake fell unconcious. |

"Why me?" Whined Sam. "Why not Zane or Leita?" "Because my chose weapon are daggers. Swords just aren't my thing." Leita smirked and walked over to Jake. "It won't be long now, just hold on." She said then saw something wasn't right. "Rukiea, he's unconcious!" |

Rukiea had just finished mixing when she heard Leita. "What!" She quickly spun around with the medicine in her hand. "He fell unconcious? Well, we need to wake him now!" Rukiea quickly walked over to Jake and began lightly slappping his face. "Come on Jake, wake up!" Jake felt Rukeia's hand but couldnt open his eyes. "Rukiea, i'm fine." HE finally said as he opened his eyes. He looked up at Leita. "I heard you.....say for me to hold on. I wouln't die now. Not with you here." |

Leita managed a smile but she couldn't bring herself to believe what he told her. All she kept thinking of was that Jake liked Rosalie. "You better not." |

(Sorry, i was reading something for school)) Jake smiled and placed his hand on hers. "I won't I promise." Rukiea knelt by Jake and handed him the medicine. He took it and swallowed it in one big gulp. "That was sickening." Jake said as his eyes began to brighten again. He would live for nwo. |

Zane rolled his eyes, unsheathed his sword, and neatly impaled Shay. "There, happy Sam?"

Jake struggled to get up but he managed and nodded to Rosealie. "So, what's on your mind?" He asked once they were away from everyone. Rukiea smiled. "Well, i didn't want to come, but when I was about to bring Jay a glass of water and get one for myself, The galss I had poured my water into cracked when I picked it up." She laughed and smiled again. "Well, since that happened, I figured I'd follow you guys." |

Jake looked from Leita to Rosalie. He stepped back a little and sat on his knees. He looked down at the floor and began to speak. "I know......both of you like me..... but I can choose only one....... Both of you." He cut off as tears filled his eyes. "Both of you are much in love with me and I am only liking one, but loving the other." He looked up at the sky and tears streamed down his golden eyes. Rukiea smiled. "I didn't mean to leave Jay, but I had to since he can't really walk...." She looked out the door at Jake, Rosalie, and Leita. "I wonder.... who he'll choose." |

It's so obvious... I just need him to tell me that... Than I'll have reason to leave the vipers to try and find someone who loves me back... Than I will return with him, and help once again to overthrow the king... I feel sorry for Zane... I saw the way he looked at Leita..." "I hope he chooses Rose as well... Rukiea looked at Jake. "Great.... I have a bad feeling that if he chooses one, the other might leave......" She bit her lip and it began to bleed a little. Jake looked at the two. He grabbed Rosalie and pulled her toward him. Jake took her in his arms and hugged her. He began to cry as he knew what might happen and he quietly whuspered in Rosalie's ear. "I'm sorry Rose, but please don't leave the Vipers......" He cluched her close and finally released her. "I'm sorry, Rosealie, but I must go with Leita. I hope that you can forgive me and please not leave the Vipers." He smiled and grabbed Leita's hand. |

Leita let out a small sigh of relife and smiled back at Jake. "Rose," She said, the smile now gone from her face. "Please don't leave the Vipers. We need you." Sam glanced up at Rukiea. "I hope not. We are a small enough group as it is and we can't afford to loose anyone." He directed his gaze towards the three. "I think they are almost done." |
