Rukiea shook her head. "AH! I gotta get back to Jay! I'll see you there...." She took off out the door and toward the fort. Jake held Leita's hand and squeezed it a little bit as in saying, 'Why did you doubt what I said.' He looked at her and hugged her. He whispered in her ear. "I don't know why you doubted what I told you....." He kissed her cheek and quickly looked back at Rose. |

Jake looked at the others as well. "Here's your answer...." He smiled and held up his and Leita's hands. Rukiea ran as fast as she could and after about an hour of running she bounded into the fort where Jay was still left. "Jay, im happy you didn't try to get up.... but, Jake chose Leita and he's well and alive." She smiled and walked over to the chair next to him. "Well, now that that's done. We need a plan...." |

Rukiea sighed. "I see, I should have stayed with them..... I'm bored.. Let's play roshambo!" She smiled and looked at Jay. Jake looked down. "I am happy, but sad....." He felt tears fill his eyes. |

Jake knew she was right. "I know.... but I feel like I crushed her...... and by hugging her like that.... was even worse for her..." He wiped the tears from his eyes. Rukiea smiled. "Yes.. You know what that is, don't you?" She looked at Jay with her head tilted. |

Jake smiled at the floor. "I guess you guys are right." His eyes dulled a little and he slumped into Leita. Rukiea smiled and held his hand. "Ookay, well a fist is a rock..." She clutched his hand into a fist. "A flat hand is paper..." She opened his hand. "And Paper beats the rock..." She folded three fingers so it looked like he was doing the peace sign. "This is scissors. and Scissors beats paper. and the Rock beats the Scissors..." She smiled and let go of his hand. "Get it?" |

Jake felt as though he had been hit with a truck. He couldn't move and his body felt numb to him. I can't move, I can't feel... Is the poinsetta still in my system? He began to open his eyes but he closed them and fell asleep. No, I'm still recovering....... Rukiea laughed. "Come on.... You really want to get rid of me huih?" She pouted like a little kid. |

"If you are going to try and make me play this game, yes." He teased. "What's wrong? Is the poinsetta still in his bloodstream?" Leita asked, staring at Sam worriedly. Sam shook his head. "I'm not sure. It could be but I doubt it. Right now though, he is sleeping. We will have to watch him and make sure nothing is wrong but for now, let him sleep." |

Rukiea smiled and shook her head. "Fine, I won't make you play this game...." She sulked in her chair. Jake twitched and truned around. He was on his right side, looking the way Sam was sitting. He began to open his eyes, but his eyes were a very dull gold. "Sam? You think it's still the poison?" He weakly said before closing his eyes again. |

Jake smiled and drifted to sleep again. "Thanks everyone... again." He said no more. Rukiea didnt laugh but she did smile. "Well. I ahve never heard that before...." She stood up and walked over to Jay's side. "So, do we need to change your bandage?" |

Rosalie stood where she was, heartbroken. Rejected. Twice. She stared blankly ahead of her, tears beginning to roll down her pale face. Jake loved Leita. Why? She'd been the one to notice the poison... She'd indirectly saved his life... Wait, Jake was on the floor, clearly in pain. "Jake! What's wrong with him?!", Rosalie cried out, coming back to reality.

"At least she didn't directly ask me." Sam said dryly. "We aren't sure. It's possible that there is still some poison in his system. For now, the only thing we can do is let him sleep and see what happens. Maybe one of us should go get Rukiea, just in case." "I guess we can change it." Jay replied. Jake was still asleep. He could hear the voices around him, but could say nothing. He couldn't even feel anything. Great.... Now I have to deal with this..... I feel kinda bad. But it I had chosen Rosalie, then Leita would have thought I was playing with her emotions... But it was almost the same with Rosalie. Jake groaned in pain. His stomach ached and his head was burning. Now, I think I caught what Rosalie had..... Rukiea laughed. "There is plenty.... But okay. Hold on." She walked around the room grabbing bandage and some water to clean off the cut once more. |
