NOW.", Zane urged, grabbing ahold of Rosalie's left arm with his right hand, "Rosalie, he can't control his actions when he's like this. Litteraly, he can not control his body. Jake looked at Rosalie and he cluched his sword tightly. He had just enough inner sanity to tell them one last thing. His eyes flickered back gold and he spoke quickly but understandably. "Rosalie.....whatever your guna do.. be careful. I have no control now..." His eyes flickered back red and he galred at the group.

"Rose, just go. Just do this one thing for him and everyone else. Jake will be fine on his own, don't worry about him." Leita said, walking over to her. "You heard what he said, he has no control. He will attack us before you get a chance to calm him down." Sam looked at the forest with concern but he quickly followed Rukiea. "Do you have any idea where they went?" He asked. |

Rukiea looked at Sam. "Not really, but i know where Jake is. I just have a sence of where he is." She kept walking and soon broke into a run. "Sam, Jake and I can't control our actions or body when our eyes hit full red. If I go full red, get everybody on the ground or in a tree or away from us. Jake and I won't kill each other." Her eyes turned a golden red. Jake looked at Zane and smirked. His voice was cold and harsh. "Heh, a poor prince guarding the woman whom wants to help a monster. I never thought I could see this day ever." He walked over to Zane and put his arm on Zane's shoulders. "Be careful Zane. Don't you remember what I can do like this?" His eyes glared at Leita and Rosalie. "No one can stop me. NO body." Rukiea walked out of a bush and saw Jake,Zane, ROsalie, and Leita. "What color are his eyes?" |

Leita jumped slightly as Rukiea appeared. "Red." She answered. "His eyes are red." Sam followed her out of the bush and heard the last of what Leita said. Cursing, he motioned for Leita and Rose to follow him. "Let Rukiea take care of this, neither of them will kill each other." He looked at Zane then Rukiea. "Can you help him?" He asked softly. |

Jake turned his attention to Rukiea and Sam. "What the.... How did you get here so fast sister?" He clutched Zane tighter and made it so he was having trouble breathing. "Just be warned Rukiea, I have Zane." He motioned toward Zane in his arm. Rukiea looked at Jake and her eyes began to grow red. "Please Rosalie!! Get outa here!! If Jake manages to get you and Zane, there isn't much i could do." She walked toward Jake and her eyes turned red. Her voice was cold and harsh. "Sam, take Rosalie and the rest out of this spot. NOW!!" She drew her sword. "I'm going to get Zane and meet up with you." |

Rosalie saw Rukia's eyes changing, and knew that she must leave. Than, she saw what Jake was doing to Zane. She wanted so badly to rescue her friend... "Rosalie...", Zane wheezed, "Take the others and go. It's much too late for me... Go on..." "But Zane, there's still a chance...", Rosalie said, tears welling in her eyes. "Go, Rose.", Zane managed to say, "I'll be fine...." Rosalie nodded febley, tears beginning to slide down her cheeks. She motioned for Leita and Sam to follow her as she began limping back to the cabin, te arrow still in her leg. A few tears rolled down Zane's cheeks as he saw his friends go. He knew that if Rukiea went full red, he'd die within te hour. Rukiea only had a slight twinge of gold still in her eyes. It was too late. Zane would never leave the forest alive, and he knew that. |

Leita started to follow Rose but stopped and cast a worried glance to the three that remained. After a small push from Sam, she turned and started to walk again. Sam looked back and shook his head. Not wanting to stay around much longer, he turned and walked up to Rosalie. "Need some help?" He asked her. "That arrow has got to hurt and walking on that leg can't help much. |

"Go ahead..", Rosalie said softly, her mind still focused on one thing: Zane. He was going to die, she knew it, and he did too. He had been her friend for years, risking everything to send her top-secret information on the king's plots. He'd risked his life to rescue the Vipers from the crypt, and even was kind enough to travel with them to the cabin, where Jake almost died, and where Rosalie's heart was broken for the seccond time that day. Love apparently had something against Rosalie, and Zane too. She'd seen the way he'd looked at Leita...

"He was.... He risked everything to help me gain information during my assignment as a spy... He was my best friend during those long days... I mean, you guys are my best friends on a regular day, but he was my only friend in the castle...", Rosalie sighed, frowning sadly, "I wish it were me instead of him in Jake's death grip...." Tears began to slowly trudge down Rosalie's cheeks, her lips trembeling.

Sam was silent for a few minutes. "You shouldn't say that. Everyone in the Vipers would be depressed, especially Zane and Jake. Zane would feel like he should have done something and Jake would feel horrible for killing you. Not that he won't feel horrible if he kills Zane but I think you get what I mean."
