Rosalie nodded ans replied, "I'm sure it is." No sooner than she had said that, a group of soldiers came from a nearby cottage and surrounded them. "You are under arrest for treason", one said, tearing Rosalie's hand away from Sam's and tying her two wrists together, another doing the same for Sam. "You will be hanged at dawn", he continued, shoving Rosalie in front of him, "Walk." That's when her leg chose to hurt. When shoved, Rosalie fell to te ground, and was unable to rise. |

Jake felt very uneasy. Leita is safe.. I wonder if the rest have gotten to their homes safely. Especially Sam. I know he lives in the village. He could be arrested or something. And then with Rosalie at hand!! Jake is fine with Rukiea.. They don't live far from here... He sighed and walked to the door. He put his hand on the knob and looked at Leita. "Damn."

Sam groaned internally as they were caught. He stumbled for as they pushed him to walk but stopped as Rosalie fell. He was shoved forward to keep walking but instead knelt by her. "Hey, you okay? Is it your leg?" "Get up! Both of you!" One of the soldiers growled at them, his hand reaching for his weapon. "She can't walk! I don't even think she's able to stand!" Sam protested. "Worried about the others?" Leita asked. "Same here. Especially Sam and Rose. After what happened with the soldiers today, going into town is really dangerous. You want to go check on them?"

Jake jumped. "You knew I was worried?" He opened the door. "Please love, stay here. I don't want you to get hurt. And If i'm caught, you can run to Jay and Rukiea for some help. It wil be best." He walked over to her and held her hand. He kissed her lips gently and walked bac to the door.

Leita frowned as he left. "I won't know if you're hurt if I'm not there." She sighed. She knew why he left and why he didn't want her to go but she had done much more dangerous things than this! She sighed again and sat down. She might as well stay like he wanted her to, there was no point in getting him upset again. Besides, if he took too long she could always go after him.

Jake nodded. "I know your strong. Just stay for me." He blew a kiss and ran out the door. He jumped into the trees and nimbly began jumping from branch to branch and tree to tree. Please be okay.. Please be okay!!!

Rosalie looked into Sam's eyes, and said, her voice pained, "Yeah... It hurts like He**." "Stand, or you shall be punished. The king told us not to kill you, but he did not say for us to not hurt you.", the leader said, drawing his sword and placing the tip to Rosalie's back. "Sam...", she whispered, too softly for the soldiers to hear, "Help me up. I can't do it on my own. My leg feels like it's on fire." "You have twenty seconds to obey, or I'll teach you both not to disobey me.", he said, pressing down slightly on the blade, not enough to cut Rosalie, but enough to make her cry out. |

Rosalie nodded, cringing at the feeling of metal pushing against the soft cloth of her dress, knowing that if the guard pushed much harder, the pain in her leg would feel like almost nothing. "15... 14.... 13...", the guard counted, managing to scowl and grin at the same time. |

Jake rushed quickly and almost missed a branch. He grabbed on with his hand and hung there. He placed his other hand on the branch and hoisted himself up. He sighed from relief. He hurried along until he came to the endge of the village. He saw what looked like a bunch of guards and in between them all... "Sam... Rosalie." He said softly. His heart raced with anger.

"Alright! Alright, we're getting up. It's not like we were planning our escpe anyways." Sam said, facing the guard but watching in the corner of his eye Rosalie grabbing his shirt. He stood up slowing, pulling her up with him. "Besides, I image it is difficult to stand when someone is pushing a blade into your skin."

Jake knew how to get thier attention so neither would feel like it was over. He unsheathed his sword and it glinted in the moonlight. He looked at them and took out a throwing knife. "I hope I don't miss..." Jake got into the cover of thick leaves in the tree. He threw the knife and it flew just above Sam's head. You better know that's my throwing knife!! He waited silently. His sword still unsheathed.

Sam stiffened, still slightly hunched over. Who the hell is trying to kill me now? He thought and glanced over to where the knife landed, only a few feet away in the side of a building. He narrowed his eyes. Is that Jake's? He took another glance towards the direction it came from and narrowed his eyes.

Jake poked his head out from the leaves and looked at Sam. He smirked and waved like a little kid to his mommy. His eyes glaring at the guards. His blood pumped and he growled slightly.

Rosalie grabbed on to the back of Sam's shirt and was pulled to her feet, being sure to place her weight on her uninjured leg. "Thank you.", she whispered, just before a blade whizzed over Sam's head and she nearly fell again. "Now stay on your feet.", the guard growled, prodding his two prisoners in the back with his weapon. |

Rosalie nodded, leaning against Sam for support. Her leg was hurting worse than ever, and she knew she'd never make it all the way back to the castle.

Sam worriedly watched Rosalie out of the corner of his eye. He could see that it was getting harder and harder for her to walk, which meant her leg wasn't doing well at all. "Just a little farther." He murmured. "Come on Rose, you can make it just a bit farther." "I said no whispering!" The guard roared and rammed the hilt of his sword into the back of Sam's head. Sam stumbled forward but managed to stay on his feet. Gritting his teeth, he didn't let the guard no how bad it hurt. Squeezing his eyes shut and then opening them once more, he continued to stagger forward, his steps uneven.

Jake growled and jumped out of the tree. He landed lightly on the gras.s and tsalked the guards. He took out a few throwing knives and hurled them as the guards' heads. He hoped he didn't misfire and hit Sam or Rosalie.

"Sam!", Rosalie cried out, worried for her friend. She recieved a sharp poke in the back, and scowled, a hint of sadness still on her face. "Leave him alone.", she growled "I am already injured, if you attack anyone it should be me."
