Sam stared at her for a minute, shocked at first but he slowly started to smile. "Well, I'm just glad you finally realized it. I've been waiting for quite awhile for you too. You have no idea how hard it is to just smile and go along with it when the girl you like is chasing after other guys."

"You could have told me.", Rosalie said softly, blushing and brushing a strand of hair from her face. She hugged Sam and continued, "I'm glad I realized it too." He felt warm and soft, but strong as well. She loved the feeling that coursed through her, causing her heart to rush.

Zane tried to resist the guards, but the one leading him responded by slashing his back with the sword. The cut was not deep, but it still hurt. Zane cried out in pain, straining his bonds. The guard just laughed, pushing him along, Zane's blood staining his gloves.

"Ha!" Sam said as he wrapped his arms around her. "I would have loved to tell you but half the time we were arguing! And the other half we were busy fighting the King's guards." He turned his head and kissed her forehead. "Besides, for some reason, I think that if I had just told you, you wouldn't have realized you felt the same."

Jake heard the cry. "Zane.." He hopped back in the trees and slowly walked along the thickest branches and hopped from tree to tree. He stoppedZane a few yards in front of him. "Damn..." He ran in front of the group and missed a branch. "Oh no.." He fell in front of the group. "Oh.. ow.." He looked up at the group. "damn.."

"What do we have here?", one of the men asked, placing his sword tip to Jake's throat, "Another one?" "Jake...", Zane groned, the throbbing pain in his back slowly overcoming his senses. He had no idea how Rosalie had managed to endure her little incident. "Maybe you're right.", Rosalie said softly, resting her chin on Sam's shoulder, "But I found it surprisingly fun to argue with you. It's a wonder I never realized before." |

Jake looked at the man. His eyesnot showing any sign of fear. He seemed unwavered by the sword at his throat. But on the inside, Jake was falling apart. "And what do I have here? A heartless puppet of a human working for the King.. Sending an innocent man to death??" Jake's voice was a bit shaky.

"Well, we can always continue those if you want." Sam laughed. Leita woke up to the sounds of Sam and Rosalie talking. "Wha?" She asked slowly sitting up and rubbing her eyes. "Oh, hey guys." She said, glancing at them. "You two seem to be a lot closer than normal."

"Zane is a traitor.", the man growled, "He released prisoners that commited countless crimes. He is no innocent. And as I do recall, you were one of those prisoners." He pressed harder, but not hard enough to kill Jake. Zane looked away. Even though he and Jake never saw eye to eye, he did not want him to die. Not like this. His strength was fading fast, the blood trickling down his back, staining his once beautiful cloak and clothing. |

Jake felt blood trickle down his neck. "And so what if he realeased me? I never really liked hi,. But can you not punish him? Just take me. Torture me all you want. Kill me at sunset. I dont care. Just release my friend." Jake grabbed the sword in his hand and slowly stood up.

Another guard slashed Jake's belt with his sword, causing it to fall away, the knives landing in the dirt."The king asked for Zane personally... But he'll certainly be proud if we brig him two of you.", the first said, nodding to the youngest of the five men. He had dark green eyes and jet-black hair. He looked to be about about a year younger than Zane. The boy knelt down beside Jake and bound him with trembling fingers. He seemed afraid for his life. But the fear was not directed at Zane and Jake, but at his fellow guards. "Leita loves you more than Rukiea will ever like me.", Zane whispered, his vision nearly growing completely black as the pain in his back. |

"You know, if your that scared, why not just hand me my belt and I can do away with them very quickly." Jake looked at Zane next. "Don't be a fool. Leita loves me, but she can love you once I'm gone." He looked at the guards. "So, your going to kill the prince?"
