((What happened to Rosalie? XD ))

 "They'll kill me if I do.", the boy replied, shaking his head, "And if I fail at this job, my family dies. Their lives depend on your deaths. I'm sorry..."

"Of course he will die. You will perish tomorrow as well", The second guard said, roughly pulling Jake to his feet and kicking the weapons away, "But before you leave us, we will put you through things that no one could imagine. By tomorrow, the two of you will be begging for death."

"But Jake". Zane whispered, "I do not love Leita, but your sister, as you well know. But she feels more for Jay than she ever could for me. I gave her up because of that. There's an old saying that if you love something, let it go. If you are meant to be, it, or they, will return to you." 

Ooc: I thought I replied to her..?

Bic: "Just forget about it. It's in the past." He stood up. "Are you hungry? I might have some food here but if not, we will have to go back to headquarters to get something. I've hidden some food from you guys there."

"I'm gonna stay here. After what happened last night, I'm not sure it's safe to go out, even in pairs.", Rosalie replied, shaking her head.

 "We threatened someone's family so that we may capture you.", The first guard growled, shoving Zane in the middle of the long cut on his back, "I'm not so sure if your logic is perfect either. Why would a single girl come and try to rescue two high-security convicts when she knows she will be killed by the first wave of troops?" The guard behind Jake wiped the spit from his eyes before kicking the back of Jake's leg, right in the knee area. "And if either of you even attempt to escape, the boy and his family will perish."

The boy shook his head, wishing that Jake would have left his family out of this.

"I would rather die than have an innocent killed in my place, Jake.", Zane said quietly, "Rukiea has Jay. She chose him over me. Besides. I knew I was dead as soon as I rescued you."

"You are bound and weakened.", The guard growled, smiling evilly, "I will kill you before you regain use of your hands. Zane is the only one we were ordered to retrieve." He drew his sword, tempting Jake to attack him.

"No, Jake...", Zane muttered, knowing very well what was about to happen. The guards would die, and innocent people would be killed. A boy would loose his family.

Sam nodded in agreement before he realized one thing. "Rosalie, you're right. Which is why I still want to head back to headquarters. Jake went out there himself and who knows if he's in trouble now or not."

"Jake can take care of himself, he's the toughest warrior in the kingdom.", Rosalie said softly, "Besides, he told us to stay here."

The guard who had been behind Jake backed up, as did two others. The one who had Zane snarled and struck out, stabbing the prince in his side, before running, leaving the weapon where it had landed- sticking out of the lower-right side of Zane's back, the tip poking through his front. The three others followed suit, running far away with surprising speed.

"No!", the boy cried out, surprised and afraid. From what little he had seen of Zane, the boy had already grown to look up to him. He knelt beside Zane who had fallen over. The boy untied his hands, not knowing what else to do.

Zane did not cry out, but his mouth was open in surprise as he fell to his knees before collapsing completely. Once his hands were free, he clutched at the weapon, knowing that if he removed it without something to cover the wound he would die, but that if it was left in too long, he would perish as well. HE had almost no chance of survival. "Jake.", He gasped, his voice filled with pain, "Help... Me..."

Jay frowned. "Well, do you know where he is? If so, we can go check up on him or help him if he needs it."

"Yeah, yeah I guess you're right. He did save us single handily after all." Sam said, still frowning slightly. "Still, I hope he gets back soon."

Jake's rage lowered and his eyes flickered back gold. "Oh.. my head..." Jake put his hand to his head. "Zane!!" Jake quickly stood up took his shirt off. He ripped off the sleeves and tied them together. He quickly wrapped the bandage around Zane's wound as he pulled out the sword. "Kid, do your parents live close? He needs help and i'm no medical warrior..." He carried Zane. "Nevermind kid. Say I used you to get them to run. If your parents are killed.. Come for me." He put Zane on his back and put his belt on. He hopped into the tree and ran off. His dagger still on the ground where he threw it.

Rukiea shook her head. "Sorry, i have no idea where he is.."
