Julie noticed everyone now going to the church. She never went there before but she knew everyone was expected to. "Come on. We're going home." she said to Rika. Rika cluthced onto her teddy bear and hopped on Julies back. Julie then climbed on a house and ran to her home. Finally she got there and Rika got off. "That was fun!" she exclaimed. "That was hard! Why are you so heavy?" Julie asked saying it more to herslf. Rika then started exploring the abandoned home as Julie went to go rest

Reeve left Kat to continue her prays in the back pew. As the head of his household he was to go to the high priests and priestesses in the front of the chapel and receive blessings for his family. He gave Kat's shoulder a little squeeze as he left her.
As the young man walked up to the altar he noticed there was a new face among the leaders of the church. A girl with white hair stood off to one side of the altar, not making direct eye contact with anyone. It was not often that the Black joined the congregation since so many people were afraid of her. That might explain why so far no one had gotten up to receive their family blessing yet.
Carefully the page kneeled in front of the priest, muttering "Lord I am ready" in Latin as he went. One by one the church leaders touched his forehead and replied in Latin a phrase Reeve did not know--besides what he was suppose to say his Latin skills had much to be desired. When the last priestess had finished the ritual, the black haired mad rose to his feet and gave each of them a low bow.
Reeve was about to turn back and return to his sister's side, when out of the corner of his eye he saw the Black again. She seemed so sad, so alone. Her job in the church must be the hardest one of all, taking all the follower's bad luck, so they might prosper, unto herself. Though she didn't pick this job, it choose her--the girl born with white hair is always the Black. How awful it must be to always be alone to help your fellow man. Reeve could not imagine a life without the companionship of Kathline. If it wasn't for her, he might have gone crazy when they lost their father.
The draw towards the girl began to grow and he could feel his feet slowly moving him in front of her. Reeve bowed again, lower than he had for even the high priest, and whispered, "Thank you. There is no way we can ever repay you for what you do. I can only offer my gratitude. My God look kindly upon you and bless you also." |

(Yes, yes Spirit may.) Ez smiled best she could, though she didn't exactly have much practice. "Lord bless you. Thank you for your trust in Him." She said to an elderly woman, known as one of the royal gardeners. She felt eyes on her, and she suddenly felt uncomfortable. She lifted her eyes to see a young man coming towards her, older than she was, but not much so. She was cautious, wondering the motives that had convinced him to speak to her. "May darkness never fall upon you." She sidestepped an unlit candle that seemingly fell out of nowhere. "Benefaciat vobis Deus et vos diligatis." She looked around to see if anyone is watching, then lowered her voice. "Don't worry, my latin isn't that good either. Please try to get moving, if someone catches you here your social life will be ruined."

After Julie got up Rika was gone. She gasped and looked around the house. "Rika! Kid?! Kid!!" she yelled as she searched everywhere. This isnt good. If she gets caught out there they'll put her in the dungeon! She thought. Julie then gabbed her sword and put a hoodie over her head to hide her identity. She then set out into the town to look for Rika. *+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+* Rika found the little church house Julie told her to stay away from. She wondered why she couldnt be there, which made her want to be there even more. As she held onto her teddy bear she walked insde. It all looked beautiful and she saw all the people in there have nice clothing. She then saw a woman with white hair standing by herself. "Why is she alone? This is a church after all.." she said to herself. Rika then walked up behind the woman and tugged at her dress. "Hello miss." she said cheerfully

Ez turned her head and looked down at the small child. "Hello there, little girl. Where are your parents? Shouldn't you be with them?" She gently lifted the girl's hand off her dress. She had sewn it herself, and her mother would give her a good scolding despite her age if something had happened.

Rika let go of the womans dress and looked up at her. "My mommy and d-daddy arent awake yet. B-But Julie is sleeping at h-home." she said. Rika didnt know her parents were never going to awake from their long sleep in the garden but she never knew. She did know Julie was really sleeping at home though. "I think Julie is f-famous around the town. I have seen her p-picture on paper on walls.." she said sweetly *+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+ Julie panicked and rsn through the town in search of Rika. "Rika? Rika?" she shouted through the town. "Gosh where is that girl! Just wait till I find her! Then she can see the consquences about running off and disobeying me." she said to herself. Julie then saw the church up ahead. Great what if shes in there?! Ill have to walk in and everyone will notice me! Julie thought as she walked in. She then saw Rika talking to the Black and hid behind a column

Ez kneeled down to Rika's height and placed her hand under her chin. "Julie? Well, then you're lucky to have a famous friend! I'm not surprised either, you're such a pretty little girl!" She smiled, a bit uncomfortable that the young man was still standing there.

Rika giggled and saw Julie hiding behind a column. Julie waved for her to shut her mouth but she didnt listen. "Julie!" she shouted. Julie rolled her eyes and prepared for knights to surround her. Two knights came in front of her and blocked her escspe. She easily slid her long sword blades into both their bodies. As the bodies collapesed onto the ground she heard people screaming in fear and others prayed in fright. "Rika! Come on, now!" she screamed over the commotion. Rika looked back at the woman. "Thats Julie. I think she is an actress for exciting plays." she said cheerfully. Julie kept fighting off knights as she tried to reach Rika

Ez stood up, making a cross over her heart with her hand. Thus her bad luck continues... And a young girl had to suffer for it. She leaned against the wall, placing her hand on her forehead. Surely her mother would... Ez looked up at the podium. Where was she? Squinting her eyes, she could see a hand. A person walking out of the church, a pastor no doubt, with a goblet that should have been Christ's blood.

Rika walked up to the woman. "Whats wrong? I think Julie is just acting.." she said as she looked back at Julie who was fighting. Rika then realized she wasnt acting- but fighting. Rika then got scared "J-Julie!" she screamed and began to run after her. *+*++*+*+*+*++*+*+*+*+*+*+ Julie turned and saw Rika trying to head her direction. Her gaze then turned to the Black. "Stop her! Please!" she yelled to the Black. Julie then sliced another knights throat and continued to spill blood. "Rika stay back!" she shouted to her but Rika was still trying to go with tears in her eyes

Ez had no idea what all the screaming was about, but she unhooked a vial of sleeping gas from her belt and let it flow through the air. She covered her mouth and nose and waited for Rika to pass out.

Julie smelled something in the air and tried to cover her mouth. "No! Rika get out of the-" she began but Rika was already on the floor. Julie felt herself getting weak and knights hit her in the back of the head. She fell to the ground as they dragged her outside and handcuffed her. "Careful men! We've been after this vigillante for ages." a knight said.

Reeve chuckled a bit at the Black's reply. He was about to thank her once more and return to Kathline, when a small girl popped out from behind the Black's dress. She seemed to have wonder off while her house was sleeping. He was about to offer to help find the girl's family after the service when the chapel suddenly broke into a battle field. Several knights were fighting a swordswoman near the front of the room and near...
"Kat..." Reeve muttered. He broke into a panicked run, desperate to reach his sister before she fell into harms way. "Kat!" he cried.
"Reeve!" Kathline called back. She was curled up under one of the pews. He quickly snatched her up and placed her on his back. Together thusly dashed back through the panicked crowd to the altar.
He intended to offer to bring the Black and her small friend to safety, but the Black seemed to be able to take care of herself. At that moment she pulled something out of her belt and a light colored smoke filled the room. He choked at the smell of it, and started to fall to one knee. He fought to keep his eyes open, and to keep his arms wrapped tightly around Kat's small body.

Since Ez was pretty much the only one conscious, she decided to help out the only ones she could. She slung Rika over her back, picked up the other little girl and cradled her in one arm, and had to drag the man by the collar. It took a minute, but eventually she got through the door. With laboured breathing she managed to get them up the stairs to her room. She gratefully flung them onto her old canopy bed, stretching out her back. "What have the people been eating these days?" She walked over to her window, resting her elbows on the sill and looking out for guards. Luckily, the swordswoman was captured. It was better for the town. Better for the people. Better for everyone.
