As the women bickered Reeve slipped down the wall again so he was sitting next Kat again. He rubbed her arm gently to try a s awake her. She grumbled a bit in her sleep and curled up closer to Reeve.
The women seemed to have come to some sort of agreement because the Black walked away from the window and blew out the candle.
"So I'm still confused as to why I'm here," Reeve said when she had come closer. |

Rika awoke and noticed Julie had left. She looked at the other two people and walked up to them. "H-Hi. Who are y-you?" she asked sweetly. Rika then stole a glance at the window where Julie used to be. She wasnt there anymore sadly. Rika sighed and waited for the twos responce

Ez shook her head. "Well, there's no other way to explain, but I do have a way out. I need your complete cooperation. From all of you." She opened a thick book on her desk on a specific page, then took a small glowing key from a compartment.

Rika turned her head and saw the small glowing key. "Wow!" she exclaimed and ran over to Ez's side. "What is that?" she asked trying to grab the key out of her hand

Ez held it higher so Rika couldn't statch it. "It's a key to the time bridge. Only the Black is allowed to use it."

"I'm willing to do just about anything to get us out of here at this point," Reeve replied. "I didn't do anything wrong to deserve to be in here, and Kat deserves to be in here even less than me."
With that the Black pulled out a key from some hidden compartment. It obviously had some sort of magical properties because it was glowing. The little girl that had come with them started to bounce up and down, demanding to see the ob
ject.
"Shhh..." Reeve told her softly, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Miss..... Black," he fumbled with his words for a moment realizing that he didn't know the names of anyone in the room, "is going to show us how to get out. Be patient." |

Rika looked up at the girl who put her hand on her shoulder. She got scared a bit and jumped away from the girl grasp falling onto the floor. She was never used to anyone touching her in a reasurring manner. Her parents werent always nice and the knights who killed her family didnt make her fear any better. "S-sorry.." she said softly as she looked to the ground

(Nope) Ez placed her hand on a brick and pushed it into the wall, making a small person sized hole appear in the wall. In the center floated a lock, and she pressed the key inside it. The lock widened into a door, and Ez stepped in. After feeling the ground with her shoe, she motioned for the others to come inside.

Ez slowly stepped forward. "Sh... Don't wake up the angels..." A feather fell from above her as she spoke, and it landed in her palm. "They guard the Bridge of time and judge who should enter and who should not."

Rika smiled with amazement the way she saw Julie do once. She was fond of that smile, Julie only smiled halfway whenever she was tricking someone. Then Julie taught her how to do it. "Thats how you s ile when your trying to trick someone. Its like a con.. Theres the smile! Ya lil Con!" she remembered Julie saying. Thats how she gained the other nickname of , Con. Rika liked the sound of it but she had no idea what it meant. And whenever she asked Julie she would just say " Just wait till you see the look on the peoples faces you trick in the future. Hopefully you become succeful and it will just be like brushing your teeth everyday: You learn and get used to it!" Rika smiled a bit at the thought and continued walking with Ez.

Reeve watches in amazement as the Black opened the door to the time bridge. It was like nothing he had ever seen before. It was beautiful. No wonder it was a place where angela slept.
The young man shook Kathline gentlelywhispering, "Wake up, Kat. It's time to go."
"Just five more minutes," she replied sleepily.
Her brother chuckled softly and took Kat by the hand. Together they followed after the Black and her small friend.
"Where dies this bridge lead?" he asked in wonderment. |

Ez shrugged as she closed the door. "You never know. It takes you to a place chosen for your party, far away." Ez locked the door and placed the key in a vial in her belt. "It could be in the future or even the past. I got here by time bridge. From a place called America. And considering none of you know what that is, the bridge took me through the past." She turned back to the dark gates of the bridge, feathers now parading from the above.

Rika stared at everything in amazement. A feather landed on her nose and she sneezed. "America? Is that a person?" she asked wondering hat America was. She saw a littke feather and chased it, though it only started to plummet down into the ground. (( braindead))

Ez pinched the base of a feather between her fingers. "No, it's a whole new place across the sea. It's gigantic. Everyone speaks with strange accents and wear odd clothing. They invented some kind of wagon that moves on it's own."

"How can a wagon move with out horses?" Reeve asking scoffing. "It's impossible."
Kathline finally seemed to wake up more in the bright place. She gazed around with eyes full of wonder. As the feathers began to fall more, the little girl that was following the Black started to chase them. With a giggle Kat let go of Reeve's hand and started to follow the feathers also. |
