Windrush tumbled, but turned it into a roll and managed to end up on his feet, "And I have to remember that sometimes, she-cats cheat." he teased, sitting down and fixing hsi ruffled fur.

Windrush raised one eyebrow, "Oh you think so?" he said with a grin, "wel you will be the best warrior someday." he said, flicking her ear with his tail, "when I'm dead!" he said, bouncing to his feet and out of her reach in case she got angry. |

Bluepaw just looked at him, "That's not fair," she complained. "I don't want to be the greatest warrior if it means my mentor has to die." She frowned at Windrush severely, "So don't say those sort of things."

"Giant hedgehog?" he asked, whiskers twitching in amusement, "and we both know that Cows don't omce into the forest." he said. He started scanning the skies with a fake sense of nervousness, "gee now im scared a hedgehog might get me."

Windrush shook his head, "I don't think a cow is smart enough to get away from its twoleg cage." he pointed out with a laugh, "and even if one did get out, it would make a ton of noise bumbling around and crashing into things, so we would know it was here."

"True," Bluepaw mewed. "But still, remember Rushpaw? He got caught under the hooves and now he's part of the elder's den. I wouldn't wish that on any cat though." Bluepaw shivered as she recalled Rushpaw's mangled and broken leg, which had eventually rotted away until he only had a stump. |

Windrush shuddered, "I just don't like cows at all." he said, "now what do you say we catch a few mice then head back to camp?" he suggested, to change the subject. He had always felt bad for Rushpaw, he was so young, yet he was forced to stay in the elders den.
