Raintear immediately flew off, to hide in some random place in the house. She knew that the dog wouldn't be able to locate her by smell, as she smelled like the rest of the house. But one slip, and she would be a 'pancake'.

Novatalon nodded in satisfaction. "Good." she said, before preening her rainbow-coloured feathers. She scooched back to the middle of the perch (feeling the nicely scratched wood) and started her preening again.

Teal grinned then hopped out of the cage, squeezing out. The little bird flew off to the upstairs.

Dot licked her lips and smiled again.  "Pancakes..." She murmerd to herself.  She then scurried over to Novatalon.  "Thank you!" She said and without even seeing if Novatalon heard her she slid into a hole in the wall and looked around.  "It needs some work, but its ok." She said to herself and started deciding how she would make this her stashing place.

"Sure..." she said, barely noticing the squirrel before she disappeared into a hole. The parrot wondered, total psycho. Novatalon chuckled to herself, then flew up to the higher perches, the ones near the vent. A faint tap-tap-clicking noise was all she heard; the heat was turned off. Novatalon trillde into the vent, knowing Teal would hear her.

Teal trilled back, "It's dusty up here!" he exclaimed, coughing out a dust bunny or two. The greyn stuff stuck to his tongue stubbornly.

"By eating lots of little animals that sneak into this house!" He growled, snapping his teeth, vainly trying to fit them through the opening n the wall. "Answer...my...questions!" He barked, accentuating each word with a snap so strong it sent a little breeze Dot's way.

Then he twitched and looked u7p at the vent and started barking thunderously "Who is up there?" He roared glaring at the vent and Nova at the same time.

Dot stared at the teeth.  "Are you sure you don't file them?" She asked, "Those things could cut thru steal!"

Nova rolled her eyes. "Teal, the first so-called 'intruder' to set foot in this house. He's with me." she added, glaring at him. "But he doesn't do much, he's no threat." she added,turning back to the metal vent above her cage. "You'll get used to it." Novatalon said to him, chuckling.

Teal was half-offended. True, he probably wouldn't do much to the dog, but he could do something threatening...right? Teal was small, and not a majestic eagle, so he pushed the little comment aside.

Brighteye's face twitched, and he screamed, "Raaaaaaaah!" And pounded his head against the couch. "So many f****** intruders!"

Dot shrugged.  She then took the leg of a chair that she had bitten off from her backpack and hung it on the inside of the wall's uh.. wall. (oo) with a string.  "Perfect!" She said.  "My first item in my stash!  Hm.. I'll get a camra next, I wonder if the humans have any."

Novatalon poked the cage bars. "No need to swear in our once-peaceful home, Brighteye." she said with a chuckle. Her feathers ruffled, then she calmed down after the...disturbance.

"Aw, sh*t!" Teal hissed, trying to get out of the predicament he was in. The books above him fell neatly, stacking up in a perfect jail cell-like prison. He battered the hardcovers, screechde at the paperbacks, but nothing really happened. It was now that he depised his size.

Novatalon growled dangerously at Teal, who she heard.

Teal put a wing over his mouth, and went back to trying to escape the book (PAPER) prison. Two seconds later, he got impatient with his skills, and began clawing viciously at a book.

Dot peeped out of anouther hole and saw Teal clawing at a book, "Whatcha' doin?" She asked.
