Red light everywhere. Fire. A burning village. And it had happened in a matter of seconds… The smoke caused Aero to cough. She had been getting more supplies at this village only moments before… Of course she had known it had been foolish… Why had she decided to get more supplies anyway? Now look… She knew that humans gathering together caught the eyes of the Idou. The Idou stood facing her. He had bleached white hair, one golden eye and the other blacker than night itself. And he was smiling. Smiling at the scene of carnage all around… Aero stood her ground. She held out her dagger defensively. She knew it was futile to stand against an Idou. It was obvious he was one of the more powerful Idou’s if he had been sent to raid this village. She held onto her anger. About three feet to her left was the mangled and broken body of a child. A child no more than five. Tears blurred her vision. “You think you’re a match for me?” The Idou said in a smooth voice. He laughed. He flexed his right hand and his nails elongated into claws. Aero gripped her dagger tightly and prepared to fight back; but suddenly he was not there. He was behind her. She whipped around and barely was able to keep the wickedly sharpened claws away from slitting her throat. Instead they grazed her arm, causing blood to well up. To think I survived all this time just to get beaten here Aero thought to herself. She blinked back her tears and forced herself to stare at the Idou in his cruel eyes. “No. I think I’m a better person by far, though,” Aero retorted. She went into an offensive stance and held her dagger. She would go down fighting. But something strange happened to the Idou. “What?... No…” he said… No, he thought, she’s long dead… Why? Why does this human?... He stared at the human girl and tried to cover up his surprise with a scowl. “Don’t let me see your face again, human. My name’s Squall. Remember me,” he growled. The claws on his hand turned back into regular nails… He backed away into the forest and melted in with the shadows. Aero stood, stunned, in the ruined village. She knew the smoke would attract many creatures ((hint hint)), but she could not move. At first she had thought that she would never see the light of another day again. But the Idou- Squall- had left her. Why? Aero simply stood in the middle of the burning village. She hardly noticed when rain began to fall down and douse the fires, as if trying to wash away the horrors of what had happened there.

"Dead...They're all dead. And none of it matters," She muttered to herself as she sat in a branch, glaring at the sky. "They killed my family...And my friends. And none of it matters. But they killed the love of my life....Shouldn't it matter? No. Because I was gonig to outlive them anyway. I'm a Vampire, right? Hah. Why weren't they able to kill me?" She wondered to herself. It then occured to her another presence was there. She didn't knwo who it was, but she could feel it. Shade was not too far behind, lying next to another tree, watching his pet anaconda slunk around. He needed his exersice too.

Gwendolyn watched curiously as smoke rose up in the sky. "One big bon fire or a heap of trouble, which one?" she asked herself with a short laugh. Hands in her pockets she moved off towards the ruined village. "Heap of trouble" she muttered reaching her destination. She kicked at a chunk of wood in her path and walked on, exploring the ruins. Who ever had done this was probably gone, best to look for anyone who might need help. "Hello! Anybody need any help?" she called in a voice just a bit below a shout. "Stinking rain" Fay grumbled arms up over her head. The smoke she'd seen just a bit ago seemed to dissipate with the rain. "Why'd I even come out here? Why'd I have to get curious?" she muttered to herself. "Curse my curious nature." Ignoring her own discomfort in the rain she moved into the ruined village "well, at least now I know what happened. Idou" she grumbled the last part, distain in her voice. "They do everything bad in this world."

Aero felt her hair get thourouly soaked and still stared numbly at everything. The rain made the fire hiss and made light gurgly sounds on leaves. But the smell of the smoke lingered in the air. Finally, Aero jolted to the present when she heard voices. She snuck over behind a random wall that was left standing and looked over. She could see a figure.... And to another side of her another figure. Both were female. She didn't know whether she could trust them or not. She simply kept herself hidden, for the time being. Until, that is, she tripped over a terribly and most inconveniently placed rock. And she fell. Hard. "Ouch..." she muttered.

Alexis noticed the person fall, and slithered over to her. He didn't attack her, yet, but just kind of loked at her, his face close he Aero's. (Sorry, I gotta go, my dad is calling, so I need to post fast)

A black as night wolf raced through the forest, lupine paws crushing the dead leaves underneath his paws. The wolf's form slipped through the trees, ducking and weaving around branches and twigs. The small rabbit raced for it's life in front of him, panting loudly. Dravius could practicallt feel the flesh shred in his teeth as he surged foreward, muscles bunching and riving him closer to his meal. Pouncing, he felt the rabbit's fragile skull puncture in his mouth, and warm blood flowed into his mouth. Skidding to a stop, the wolf twisted and stood on it's hind legs, into something between human and animal. Covered in fur and blood, the wolf-man sat on the forest floor and proceede to gulp down the rabbit. Stopping short, the wolf sniffed the air, scent of smole curling into his nostrils. The anthro's shape abruptly changed to human, a tall, gangly boy with pointed teeth and mismatched eyes. He sniffed again, and turned towards the smell, following the trail to the edge of a ruined village, rain slicking his black and spiky hair to his face. He ventured slowly into the ruins, eyes darting around suspiciously. It had been so long since the shapeshifter had seen another human, and the twisted and blackened forms around him were worsened by his sense of smell. He dropped to his knees next to a charred set of feet and emptied the rabbit onto the ground, nearly crying out as he noticed what was nearby. As he staggered to heis feet, he heard a thump, folled by an exclamation of pain. A black wolf trotted up to Aero, red and gold eyes sad. It nudged her shoulder with it's nose and licked her cheek gently. Dravius stared at the immesurable sadness in the girl's eyes and whined loudly.

Aero stared at the black wolf. She saw the golden eye and red eye that the wolf had... So much like that Idou that she had encountered. She shivered involentarily. She smiled a bit as the wolf licked her cheek and whined. "Clumsy me," she muttered. She dusted herself and stood up, and blinked the rain that was falling into her eyes. She glanced around her. Obviously the smoke had attracted lots of creatures... Hopefully not Idou. But the Idou won't be around here now... They already know this village has been raided by one.... she thought to herself. So it was highly likely that all creatures she encountered here weren't Idou. Still, a human such as herself should watch out for vampires and werewolves. Aero tried to smile at the wolf, and laid her hand on its fur, just to be comforted that somebody, or something else shared her sadness at what had happened. Then movement near her ankles caught her eye. A snake slithered on the ground, staring at her. She stayed still, not moving, and tensed herself.

Dravius watched as the strange girl shivered, then muttered to herself about how clumsy she was. He jumped as the girl laid a hand on his mane. Her hands were soft and he was unused to anyone touching him. He lifted his lips in a snarl at the snake and let out a threatening growl at the anaconda. He turned back into a human, growl still issueing from his lips. His eyes were focused on the snake as he snarled without blinking. ((Fixed))

"Alexis!" Shade said, grabbing the snake and pullign towwards himself. "Sorry, he wasn't going to eat you, he's just wierd like that, though," Shade said tryign to shove the now tramendously thrashing anaconda in a sack that was previously at his side. "Man, Alexis, I really need to get a new system to keep you put," He mubmled after the snake was in the bag and stickign his head out at the top to hiss at his master. "Uh, he didn't bite, did he?"Shade asked, scratchign thew back of his head, chuckling nervously, green eyes going from the wolf to the woman.

"Oh look, people. Hi people!" Gwendolyn said happily noticing the small group. She smiled stopping a few yards away from them. Pushing soaked hair away from her eyes she asked "what's up?" rather casually, one hand in her pocket the other up in a slight wave. Fay's head snapped up when she heard voices. "Hey, anyone have an umbrella?" she asked. From what she'd seen it looked like the Idou were long gone, the people standing around seemed to be good guys. She moved her hands from over her head and sparked a small flame in one palm, sheltering it from the rain with the other. "I hate the rain" she grumbled.

Aero groaned; she had caused way too much attention. She stared at Shade, a bit amused. “No… Alexis didn’t bite me… Alexis is the snake, right?” she answered. Her attention was cut off of Shade when suddenly the wolf shifted into a human. Her first thought was that he could’ve been an Idou, but she calmed herself, telling herself that he was just a shapeshifter. And she had pet his fur, thinking he was just a wolf. “Oh… Hi,” she murmured to him, not even knowing his name yet. And then she quickly turned her attention to the other two newcomers she had caused to see her. One was obviously a vampire, and the other a faerie. She glanced warily at the sky. The vampire wouldn’t be strong right now until the sun went down… Hopefully the vampire wasn’t hungry at the moment. Aero still tensed herself. “Hello,” she said to the two calmly.

Dravius jumped as Aero said something, and his growling cut off abruptly as he peered curiously at her. Confusion clouded his eyes as he noticed all the other creatures around him. Slowly, he stood up warily, glancing at the faerie and the vampire. He was so unused to people, that he seemed to have forgotten human speech.

"Yeah, a snake that slithered in my house, and I kept him," He chuckled. "Wow, a party! Why wasn't I invited?" Siren said, slapping a hand on Aero and Shade's shoulder, smiling boadly, her fangs glimering. "Name's Siren Banks. How is everyone, and what's goin' on?"
