((They're only trying to help you, you know. Everyone starts out somewhere and everyone needs suggestions and advice to start out with. Being mean is something totally different from constructive criticism.
Also, I do agree with everything everyone's been saying. Even if, by some wild chance, a kittypet knew what voodoo was, which is far-fetched as it is so actually learning it isn't even warriors, a warrior would never name a kit after a twoleg word that has no meaning in the clan. ))
