Garrett gave a huge grin and pumped his fist in the air. "Yes!" he yelled, making the other people in the store give him strange looks. He blushed and smiled at Paradise before leading her to the counter and purchasing their drinks. Outside, he took a big gulp of his soda and rubbed the back of his head sheepishly again. "Um... sorry about that. I can be a goof sometimes. You don't have to hang with me, if I embarrass you."

  Aria laughed and gave Roman her brightest smile. "I'd love too! Thank you for asking! Are you ready to head back to the bus? It looks like they're getting ready to leave." Giggling and blushing, the petite girl wrapped herself around his arm.

I replied with a smile as I got a little more comfortable on the seat after she scooted over. I felt myself becoming self concious as her eyes studied my face. What was she thinking? Of course, life would be so much easier if men could know what women were thinking and vise versa.
I smiled widely at her choice of topic. Guessing that she also played, I felt a little better about talking to her. At least we had something in common.
"I've been playing piano since I was nine years old. I'm guessing you also play a little something?"
I asked while noticing that she couldn't quite keep her gaze on me. She looked from me, to the window, to her hands.
Did I make her nervous?

I jumped at Garretts outburst and felt heat rush to my cheeks like his own. It was always easy to embarress me.
"No. It's fine. Really."
I replied with a chuckle as I opened the root beer and took a small sip. Root beer was always my favorite soda flavor.

I glanced at him and nodded. "I play a couple instruments, actually," I shrugged, with a small grin. At least the situatoin wasn't completely awkward. "I play violin, some guitar, and just a bit of piano." I smiled and looked out the window with a sigh, seeing people were beginning to make their way onto the bus.

"So..." I looked at my feet, biting my lip in thought. I wondered what we could possibly speak of now. Topics were limited after all. My mind raced and struggled to come up with something not stupid to say. I sighed and furrowed my brows.

"My brain is a bit slow at the moment..." I chuckled nervously, feeling obviously stupid. I hoped I didn't appear so...

A blush of rosy red spread across my cheeks. Hoping my voice would keep from cracking, I put my fist to my mouth and cleared my throat, before holding her arm back and giving my best grin. I hoped she wouldn't think me a fool, but by now, she probably knew that if I was too dumb to actually speak to her in her presence in first meeting, that my mind was quite a bit slow.

Nonetheless, I started heading back, walking with her toward the bus. I made my way on and slid into my seat, leaving a spot for her to slide in beside me.

  Garrett gave another goofy grin. She is so classy! Why am I bothering her like this? Still... He looked around at the other guys milling about. I'd probably treat her better than all those yokels combined. With his mind made up, he extended his arm in a gentlemanly fashion. "I'm glad," he said. "Shall we?"

  Aria smiled as she slipped into the seat next to him. "Thank you, for asking me," she said, giving him one of her vibrant smiles. "Now, tell me more about yourself. You like botany. What is your least favorite subject?"

I grinned at Belle before saying,
"Wow. I would be honored to hear you play them sometime."
I noticed people starting to get on the bus, and I wasn't very happy about that. I mean, the last thing I wanted to do was sit next to the guy I sat next to before. I shuddered at the thought as I looked back at Belle.
"Belle? Do you mind if I sit here during the ride? I don't know if you noticed, but some guys in this class are just replusive."

Paradise grinned; ironically feeling more comfortable with Garrett now. Maybe it was just because he was goofy that made him so likeable.
"We shall."
She said while giggling before grabbing his arm and walking towards the bus with him.

I couldn't help but chuckle at his words. He was very right though; some she just didn't understand. "Of course you may," I grinned and sat back, sighing softly and watching as the seats filled up. It would be just about an hour longer or something before we actually reached the dreaded destination to this horrible field trip. Perhaps having a kind person beside me would make the trip less boring and dreadful. I sighed and looked at my feet. It was strange how you couldn't speak as easily around groups of people, but be chatty and talkable when with one or two. I was never really completely social though; not that I was socially awkward. There was just never anyone I would have spoken to purposely, if that makes any sense at all.

I smiled at Aria, leaning back in my seat. "I love Botany. But ironically... I'm not so much for math. I'm good at it, but I don't like it," I stated with a small shrug. I yawned, covering my mouth. I shouldn't have gone to bed so late last night. I hoped she wasn't offended by thinking I was bored of her or something. "Ugh..." I sighed, stretching. "Even after that little bit of walking around, I'm still tired." I groaned. I smiled and watched her with a grin. "So... what's your least favorite?" I asked back at her, "Subjects I mean." SHe probably knew what I meant of course.

  Garrett escorted Paradise into the bus with a smile, ignoring the jealous looks he got. He was very aware of the pretty girl on his arm. Finding his seat, he slipped in, allowing her the outside so that she could move as close or as far away as she wanted. "So, what were you drawing, Paradise? Do you have a nickname?"

  Aria relaxed a little, smiling back at him. "Hmm... my least favorite subject..." she giggled. "Probably math. I hate it! I love English and literature though. And theatre!" She struck a dramatic pose as the bus pulled out.

I could feel my face blush at his question.
"What was I drawing...?"
Anyone who usually asked me, I'd just say it's personal. Though technically it wasn't. It was just at random. But, I couldn't just blow off Garrett that way. Not after how nice he was to me.
"Well, I know it's kind of cleche, but my favorite thing to draw is flowers, gardens... So I was drawing that."
I said with a shrug. He probably found it stupid. And, like I had said, cleche. I sat down next to him and added,
"Well, no. You can't really shorten Paradise. Para just isn't a word. And Dise doesn't really work either."
