Flamestripe tilted his head to the side and back when he heard Timberfall whisper something to him. Inclining his head, he said; "Of course, Timerfall." Turning back to Skypaw, he mewed, "Your as-sesment is today. You'll be hunting." He left out the part where he would be watching, not wanting to make his apprentice self-conscious about the whole thing.

Shadefire sighed. She only asked the other two because they were willing to help and she didn't want to wake her apprentice from his sleep. Glancing at the elder, she gave him a stern look and padded back into the storage room to put the herbs back where they should be.

Duskpaw stared around at the other patrol, her blind eyes searching for any sign of danger or prey. She felt ehrself being watched, but did nothing. It was one of the perks about being blind, your other senses were heightened. She pounced on an unsuspecting mouse and bit it. It died quickly and she burried it. She followed the patrol with her as.sesment still intact, she hoped...

Timberfall sighed as the tom gave him the sad look and looked into the tree which Stormhunt had been lying under. "You too Oakcloud." He called wearily, not really in the mood to be searching for erstwhile cats.

Earthpaw looked up with the mouse in her jaws and nodded at Tigerpaw as he appeared from the camp. "Hey Tigerpaw," she muttered through a jawful of fur and mouse.

{~} Well, Timberfall's being doing a pertty good job about it so don't worry. They can become apprentices in the next day ♥ {~}

Skypaw nodded and slipped through the gorse tunnel, not hearing her mentor's footsteps behind her. She twitched her tail as she immediately scecnted thrush. Crouching low to the ground, she dragged one paw slowly after the other as she tried to keep as quiet as possible. At the last moment the wind shifted, and the bird took flight. Swallowing her dismay, Skypaw gave a great leap and managed to catch the bird, glad for her long legs. 

Burying it under the oak tree it had been pecking under, she continued through the forest to the Ancient Tree, knowing that the rabbits liked to eat the soft gras.s that grew there.

A few seconds after Skypaw left, Flamestripe followed and kept to the shadows and undergrowth as he kept downwind of his apprentice. The tip of his tail flicked slightly as he watched Skypaw bring down a bird. When she moved on after burying the kill, he was as silent as a spector. Steath was one of his strengths, thanks to his mother; Spiritflame.

Oakcloud jumped down from his perch in the tree, landing in front of Timberfall. "Yessir." he said, a stupidly-proud look on his face. "Everything's all clear, do you need me to do something?" he asked. He didn't have an apprentice so Timberfall couldn't bite his tail for that.

Tigerpaw glanced up at Earthpaw, giving her a shy look. "Hi," he said softly, flicking his gaze back away from her. He thought for a second, trying to remember where catmint was. His tail twitched behind him and his eyes narrowed as he thought. It took him a few moments but he finally remembered. "Down by that old empty two-leg place by the river," he said, looking up at them with a proud ex
pression on his face.

Skypaw crouched in the bracken that surrouned the Ancient Oak, her body hardly moving as she waited for a rabbit to pop up from its burrow. To her luck, a large pheasant walked into the small clearing, a string of chicks behind it. Moving herself so that she followed the chicks like a ghost, she killed each one swiftly until she had a small pile of dead chicks and the mother pheasant left.

Help me StarClan, she prayed as she dashed forwards, legs pumping and muscles burning. The pheasant took off too late, and was soon a ragged bundle lying by Skypaw's feet.

Flamestripe purred silently in pride. Skypaw was a good hunter. Moving so he was to the left of his apprentice, he wondered what she would do next. His yellow and blue eyes watching her every movement.

((Psh, Rainpaw was totally ignored by Tigerpaw.))

Rainpaw rolled her eyes, ignored again by one of the older apprentices that thought they were all that an a fresh-kill pile of rabbits. She flicked her deaf ear in irritation, that started towards the river. "Lets go then." Her voice was bland, exactly how she felt for once. A clump of horsetail brushed against her, and Rainpaw gently smoothed down her snowy fur. She slowed, looking back at Tigerpaw, then Earthpaw, not wanting to wander off without them.

Earthpaw saw Rainpaw walk off and followed suit, beckoning with her tail that Tigerpaw should follow. Her ears flattened as they neared the MarshClan border, the overpowering scent of mud and dirt filling her nostrils. "Give me a fresh smelling and clean forest any day," she coughed unhappily.

Skypaw burried the pheasant and its chicks and set off once more, this time taking the long route back to the camp. She opened her mouth and let the foresty scent fill it, until she could smell a small squirrel nibbling at a nut beneath a beech tree. Just as she was about to pounce on it, the overpowering stench of fox filled her nostrils. She backed up in panic as a large red fox rose up in front of her, snarling.

(( Aww, I is sorry. )= I'm rushing a bit... he didn't completely ignore her. He answered her question just didn't say hi.. ))

Tigerpaw ducked his head down, sensing she was annoyed with him too. Great. First the older cats hated him and now he was accidentally pushing the cats his age away. He sighed, following them with his shoulders haunched and his tail dragging along the ground.

Once near MarshClan territory, he seemed a little more alert at least. His ears were perked up and he was looking around as if expecting an attack. He always felt nervous near the boarders.

Flamestripe's fur started to prickle when he saw the fox. His lips curled up into a snarl as his claws unsheathed. But he would jump in just yet. He went over the technique on how to fight a fox with Skypaw. He could taste the panic in her scent. "Forget your panic and concentrate," he muttered under his breath.

Earthpaw could feel the mysterious cat's hold weaken from Tigerpaw's intervention and took advantage, rolling over to crush the cat beneath her. The cat's claws let go and Earthpaw leaped up, whirling around to face her opponent. What she saw dismayed her. It was a mangy rogue with a flea-bitten pelt. "What, who are you?" she demanded angrily, unsheathing her claws.

The rogue gave a little laugh, "Heh, you soft Clan cats won't stand a chance against RockClan!" he yowled, licking his jaws eagerly. "We're gonna take your forest and destroy you pieces of crow-food."
