Flamestripe hissed as Duskpaw showed up to help. But the blind apprentice seemed to be helping Skypaw. And he wanted to see what kind of plan they could come up with together, circling around the two and the fox, he situated himself in a more suitable spot so he could jump in whenever he could tell that the apprentices might need some help.
Nothing can stop the US Air Force except lightning within five nautical miles.

Skypaw saw and heard Duskpaw and yowled at her denmate, "Quick, act as a distraction while I attack!" She slipped from underneath the fox and circled behind it so it couldn't see her, claws unsheathed and balancing lightly on the ground should she need to leap away quickly.

Tigerpaw weakly sat up, shaking his head. He stared at the rogue through slightly blurry eyes. "RockClan? There's no RockClan." he mumbled. Was this cat mad? Tigerpaw stood up shakily. "Back off!" he hissed at the rogue, trying to look powerful, "This is SnowClan territory!"

"Skypaw, get to his neck!" she cried, climbing up to a spot near the foxes neck. "If you do, we can kill him together." She screeched as the fox almost succeded in tossing her off like a wet rag and panted. She bit down on the foxes bulky neck, butting through to blood. She waited for Skypaw...

Rainpaw felt helpless, unable to react in time to help fight the "Rockclan" cat like Tigerpaw and Earthpaw, hissing alongside them. She sniffed the air lightly, immediately scenting the fresh markers from the dawn patrol. " Even a kit could smell the scent markers. You must be a mousebrain!" She spat, angry at the rouge ro trying to tresspas.s and attacking her only friend.

Skypaw nodded and dashed between the legs of the fox for a second time, twisting as she dashed through to latch her sharp teeth on the fox's throat. It struggled wildly but couldn't touch Skypaw, who was too small for the fox's legs to claw at. She bit deeper and tasted the metallic tang of the blood seep through her jaws.

The fox struggled for a few moments, shaking a bit, and then fell to the ground. "Look." Duskpaw felt the ground around her as the fox died. "Its a cat." the cat was hardly breathing for a moment and then all movement stopped. The light died from the cat's eyes and she died. Duskpaw's sightless eyes widened. A cat that looked like a strong warrior, killed by the fox she ahd Skypaw had just beaten...

Earthpaw snarled at the rogue, "What RockClan?" she demanded angrily, her fur fluffing up till she was twice her size. She was about to leap on the mangy cat again when it spoke up, puffing its chest out. "RockClan is the new clan, made up of rogues who hate the Clan cats. We'll drive you from this prey-rich forest and make it ours!" He whirled around and dashed over the boarder swiftly. "Well...now he's MarshClan's problem," Earthpaw remarked dryly. |

Skypaw looked at where Duskpaw had mentioned and gasped. It was a light blue and silver cat that was like a copy of Skypaw. The cat lay breathing there softly, its breath rasping through its throat until it stopped. Skypaw nudged the cat and she could feel that the body was already becoming cold. "Dead..." she breathed.

Rainpaw sneered at the rouge, nodding at Earthpaw's comment. "What a pansy, he attacked someone half his size, then ran off." She spat dissaprovingly on the grount, not wanting to stay in that spot much longer. Her gaze drifted to Tigerpaw, who had gotten to as.sist Earthpaw with the rouge. "Where did you say the catmint was? I think that we should get it quickly, so the mouse-brained rouge doesn't bring his little 'Rockclan' friends and try to attack us again."

StarClan would never allow it, would they? He looked back at the other cats. "We... umm... forget the catmint... um... we should go tell Fallingstar about this..." he said quietly, being hesitant about his words. He wasn't used to telling others what to do. |
