Sparrowpaw beamed as she raced after Shadesky. She froze and perked her ears. "Shadesky, I think I smell something... it smells good." she said, kneading her paws on the foilage.

"You mean the thrush right above your head?" He pointed with his tail to the thrush sitting on the branch above. "Go ahead and climb up there, but be quite, because those things have great hearing. Once you get on onto the branch, balence your weight on all four paws, ears down, and belly low." He told Sparrowpaw quietly. "Good, now pretend I'm the prey." Deathfang meowed as Soulpaw perfected the hunter's crouch. "But when you jump on me, attack me as if I was a StormClan cat."

Soulpaw crawled forward, like a slithering snake. He leapt forward unsheathing his claws and ripping them down Deathfang's shoulders, picturing a StormClan cat in his place.

Sparrowpaw looked up. "Got it." she said. She clawed up the trunk to the branch above the trush. She prepared to leap down on the unwary bird, preening it's feathers. Sparrowpaw had to consentrate on not moving her tail, that was difficult. But, right before the thrush flew away, Sparrowpaw pounced on the lower branch, biting the thrush swiftly on the neck. She wobbled a bit on the thin branch, causing the lifeless bird to fall onto the ground.

"Guess I forgot to say 'sheathe you claws'" Deathfang muttered as Soulpaw ripped through his shoulder, though it didn't hurt him much, for Soulpaw hadn't battled enough to sharpen his claws. Deathfang turned around and rammed into Soulpaw's right side, knocking him to the ground. "You have to be quick on your paws if you don't want to get attacked." Shadesky caught the thrush on two paws, quickly dispatching it so he could look up again to see Sparrowpaw almost falling off the branch. "Be careful!" He yelled up. "Balence yourself as you would a hunter's crouch!"

Sparrowpaw flattened herself on the branch that steadied soon afterwards. She sighed in relief. A curious squirrel at the base of the branch peeped out of it's hole in the tree. Sparrowpaw looked towards Shadesky for approval.

Sparrowpaw lightly repositioned herself to face the squirrel, now turning to lick the sap off the tree where she had clawed. Sparrowpaw pounced easily, nipping the squirrel on it's neck and sending a shower of loose fur to the ground. Sparrow paw, eagerly climbed down the tree so that she wouldn't fall and dropped the squirrel in front of Shadesky on top of the thrush. "Good?" she asked, tail up, hoping for approval or praise.

"Hi I'm Fishleap. I'm from DarkCLan. Who are you?" Fishleap asked Leafpelt nicely, although faking it. But there was no way to tell that she was a fake. "Very good." Shadesky commented. The first time I cought a bird that was flying away, I fell out of the tree. But you did much better than me!"

Sparrowpaw smiled. "That's cool, let's take this back to camp and feed the elders and queens, I'm sort of hungry." she said, stretching and yawning. "And tired. I think i'll nap too and then we can do battle training."

Chippaw looked and began rolling into the dung and walked back when she saw a bird in a tree on her own border and she climbed up and caught it but fall out of the tree. "I tried." She whimpered as the bird flew off.
