"Explore?" Ebony's eyes stretched a bit wider as she stared at Byrd. "I don't think my housefolk would approve of it..." She murmured as she toyed with a wooden splinter that stuck out from the fence. "What if we meet those savage cats that roam outside this fence? I don't want to get eaten!" Although this sounded childish, Ebony truly did want to escape her life with her housefolk, even for just a bit, but something inside her mind kept nagging her and bringing her back to her nest.

Skywalker could've sworn that he felt the presence of something, and a particular smell that was previously stale had grown stronger. The little black tom paused on his search for these mystery cats, looking wildly around at the plains. "Hello?" He hesitantly called out, tail twitching nervously. |

Echopaw nodded to his mother. With a short whisk of his tail, he beckoned to Kitty and Jaypaw, and slipped out of the den. Once out in the clearing, he looked around carefully, searching for Greypaw. He couldn't see the young tom, but Echopaw figured that he was still in camp. A faint scent trail laced the clearing, although it was overlaid by many others, and was hard to distinguish. He'd need the others' help. Or he could go ask someone.

Lakeripple sighed. "Yes, I think I have a cold, but it seems mild," she answered the medicine cat truthfully. "I'd expect with the proper treatment, it should clear up fairly soon."
Lakeripple's nose felt dry, but other than her scratches, the rest of her seemed fine. She didn't ache anywhere at least. True, her nap had been short, but she felt better. It was almost like those naps she used to take when she lived with her twolegs. Lakeripple pushed the thought away in disgust. What was she doing, thinking about twolegs? She was a clan cat now, and determined to stay that way.

OOC: Here we go.... ^o^ Not all that sure about LeafClan to be honest....
In ReedClan, Rabbitfoot the medicine cat is busy attending to Lakeripple's suspected cold and Greypaw's injuries. Elmrise rests with her brand new kits in the nursery, who tells her sons Echopaw and Jaypaw to find Swanflight and fulfil his orders. Meanwhile, the deputy has just assigned Riverstone and Palestripe on a hunting party, wanting Sandflight to join them. But Riverstone seems busy tracking the scent of a trespasser on his territory [Skywalker]...
In LeafClan, Spidermask hunts by himself in a pine forest. Swallowtrill and Icefeather seem to be on either a hunting party or border patrol.
For the Clanless kitties, Ebony and Byrd seem to be just chatting. Skywalker, meanwhile, stumbles across ReedClan territory, and sets out to discover more. |

[ Thanks for the recap <3 ] Jaypaw nodded, bounding off to look for Swanflight. He sat next to the deputy and looked up at him, eyes full of admiration as he meowed, "Elmrise told me to look for you. Is there anything I can do to help?" Sandflight shook herself awake from a daydream once again. She dragged herself to Riverstone and Palestripe. "Sorry for being late," She huffed. "I was just... Thinking of something." Falconstar sat in his den as he listened to the activity in the Clan. Part of him wanted to go out and settle whatever problem there was, but today he was too exhausted to think , really. A thought rushed forward to fill the empty void in his mind, and he pawed out of his mossy den. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock." His voice rang out loud and clear, trying to sound confident. Hopefully I don't mess this up, he thought, as he beckoned to Kitty, who was sitting outside the nursery and looking around, with his tail. Kitty padded to Falconstar's den. "Did I do anything wrong?" She asked, confused and scared. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" She meowed, apologizing profusely. Falconstar let out a small chuckle [ Can cats even chuckle?... ] and shook his head. "No, Kitty, it's time for your apprentice ceremony." Pride surged through Kitty's body. She fixed her eyes on the leader in gratitude for a few heartbeats before following him to the Highrock.

Dewleaf is treating Tigerpaw's wounds. Streamkit is practicing battle moves with Mistyclaw. Flameleap is giving orders for patrols. Mountainstar is watching from the Highledge. "We must recover from the battle," Mountainstar said.

[[ More recap concerning LeafClan, all from memory x3 Swallowtrill and Icefeather hit the LeafClan-ReedClan border, and Swallowtrill overstepped the boundary by a whisker. She swore that the border was closer than she remembered, but she waved it off. We're still waiting for Pinestar's reaction [ if Kupa does quit, he'll be an NPC ], though Sleetstrike would be more than happy to get rid of the kittypet.
And umm... Anubis, you didn't submit your bio and your post made little to no sense :/ I don't think you understand how we RP around here ^^'' ]]

OOC: No problemo, guise. Um, Twint - don't they wait until moonhigh to give cats their new names? To be in the presence of StarClan? They did it with Rusty/Firestar, but yet again, they also let him go home to think over his decision... |

Reedclan
Palestripe padded alone through the forest. She would join the other cats on patrol as soon as she saw them, but right now, she wanted to hunt. She crouched low to the ground when she saw a large quail fluffing up it's feathers up ahead. She crept forward, then sprang at the quail, killing it with a swift bite at the neck. She sent a silent prayer of thanks to Starclan for the wonderful catch before burying it in the loose soil. She continued to hunt, managing to catch a couple of tiny mice before coming back to collect them all. Her sides ached from running, and she dragged the quail and two mice home slowly.
Greypaw laid down, as he was asked. He let out a cough, as he buried his head into his fur to try and hide the noise. His sense of smell was dulled, because he couldn't breathe from his nose, it felt like someone has shoved something up there. When he tried, he let in this deep snuffing sound, which usually made him cough or sneeze.

Echopaw bounced after his brother, gazing at Swanflight with the same respect as Jaypaw. He realized that was the rank he wanted to rise to someday. All kits and apprentices usually boasted about how they would becoming clan leader someday, but sadly, not many usually completed their goals. For the most part they found that they were content to be a regular warrior.
"So," Echopaw began. "Where do you want me?" He would have asked the deputy about the foxes, but something held him back. Perhaps it was Swanflight's ex
pression? No, Echopaw was probably imagining the look in the white cat's eyes. Still, he looked exhausted, and Echopaw felt a twinge of worry.

OOC: Now that Kupala's gone, Redwing's gone too. Meaning that Echopaw requires a new mentor.... Tld, could you do us a favour - you know you have a list of all the characters on the first page? Could you clear out any cats that are played by inactive users now, please? So the lists only show characters currently being used? I'd find this really helpful. But only if you have the time, of course. :3
Swanflight ReedClan deputy
They were obedient, that was for sure. But it was their readiness, their devotion, that captured Swanflight's affection for them. Elmrise being their mother wasn't the only reason he viewed them a little like nephews, too. They were genuinely well-mannered cats. The white tomcat felt oddly humbled by their bright, almost worshipping gazes.
"Thank you for coming to me so swiftly," Swanflight praised Echopaw and Jaypaw. "I'm in need of some cats for a border patrol, which I will lead myself. We'll be heading out now, but first, I must tell Falconstar that I will be out of camp. The both of you, wait for me by the tunnel."
He turned away from the two apprentices and made his way towards Falconstar's den. Without entering, he hovered outside, craning his neck into the sheltering space. "Falconstar, I will be out of camp for now, on a patrol. I'm taking Echopaw and Jaypaw with me." Of course, it was obvious the Clan leader would have to survey activity in the camp with the absence of its deputy. But he thought it polite to tell Falconstar anyway.
Rabbitfoot ReedClan medicine cat
"If rest is all you need, then do so," Rabbitfoot replied gently. "That's normally the greatest remedy for a simple sniffle. I'll use herbs to improve your recovery, but I doubt much will be needed. Now, Greypaw - your wounds. Lay still, the mixture will sting..."
The tabby she-cat returned to the slate and chewed up the paste again. She sat by Greypaw's side, arched over, and spat the mixture out again over the fine, fine bites.

((That's going to cause a problem in ReedClan, there's only a few warriors as it is. That leaves what... four? Two of them are already mentors, so that doesn't leave many options for Echopaw's mentor. I dislike it when people join an RP, post once or twice then leave. I causes problems for the rest of us.))
Echopaw glanced at his brother, then followed Swanflight with his gaze. The deputy seemed to be ready to move out, having appeared to alerted Falconstar. He took a tentative step towards the entrance, unsure whether he should wait where he was, or move on. "Swanflight?" he called across the clearing, looking for more orders.
In the meantime, Echopaw decided to wait by the thorn tunnel, that way he was completely ready to leave. He didn't sit though, but rather hovered near the entrance, waiting for the other cats that would be a part of the patrol. As he waited, Echopaw made a mental note to ask Swanflight when he and the other apprentices would have their warrior hunting assessment, assuming that no major battles popped up.

OOC: I'm happy for Swanflight to be a mentor. Perhaps Echopaw's mentor died in the famine? And at moonhigh, when Kitty becomes a member of ReedClan, Echopaw can be made Swanflight's apprentice?

Greypaw let out another sneeze as he fluffed out his fur. The paste stung, but he wasn't worried about that right now. "It's cold." Greypaw meowed. He prayed silently that Rabbitfoot thought the same. "Maybe I ate something bad, or got a chill when I fell into that patch of water looking for the foxes." He made up a couple of excuses. He hated the smell of herbs and it always reminded him of being sick.

Then I'll come back here and get some more rest," she added hastily, thinking that Rabbitfoot might not approve if she left the den, fresh-kill or no fresh-kill. As Lakeripple spoke, she kept her yellow eyes trained on Greypaw. She wondered if Rabbitfoot just might be able to sense her worry for the young tom.
"Greypaw," she began gently. "you don't look wet in the slightest. How could you have fallen into a patch of water? Besides, if you'd eaten something bad, you'd have a stomach ache, not a dry nose. I don't need to be a medicine cat to tell these things," Lakeripple added with an apologetic glance at Rabbitfoot. She felt strange talking to a younger cat like this, comforting him.
