Soul lifted her head sleepily as Shrap stumbled in, "What happened!" she cried, grabbing some moss to staunch the blood flow. The wound was deep, slicing straight through the leg rather than across it. Soul looked closely and saw it had some servered tendons, no wonder it gave out, she thought, wincing at the sight.

Dawn heard the cries of pain, she was a little worried. She also knew that Soul would take care of him. She kept walking, and then saw Soul mopping up bloud from his cut. "Um, do you need help?((Edit)) Can I come in?" she asked standing outside of the entrance

Shrap woke up and looked at her, "Warriors apparantly lived on the mountain, one threw their sword and got my leg. I cannot feel it anymore... Which worries me" he yawned and watched her.

Soul shook her head, "Silly dragon, it's the numbmoss I placed on it. It's stopping the pain from making you black out. I really wish we had a healer though, I may not be able to save your leg," she whispered, her black eyes filling with little ice droplets of tears.

"I'll go fetch some. Those horrible humans, no good twolegged demons." She mumbled and obediently ran into a lush, green area. She scraped off a heap of moss and flew back up. She landed gracefully, and walked into the cave. She handed Soul the moss, and stepped back. "If you need anything else, I'll get it."

Shrap chuckled "If you cant, ill manage without it. no matter what everyone says A wounded dragon is a dead dragon" he mocked, and licked the top of his mates head "Don't worry" Shrap averted his gaze to look at dawn and grinned at her "Thank you"

"Not a problem, Sir. I'll be off now. Good bye, and I hope that doesn't hurt as much." she quickly swooped back down to her cave. She layed down an the cool, hard rock. She stared at the sky, and the green fields. Since Shrap had said the humans were up on the mountains she had been having an urge to go check it out. She knew it was stupid and dangerous. She opened her wings and went to the edge of the rock. She jumped off and started to glide.

Shrap smiled "Alright" he looked outside the cave, the sky was regaining its warm colors as the sun emerged out of the ground, Shrap watched as the sun rose higher and higher into the sky.

She saw the sun rise, the air getting warmer by the minute.Her scales in the morning breeze felt so fresh, and made her feel alive. She swooshed her tail in the sky as if cutting peices out of the dark blue morning. She knew it'd be best if she went back to her cave. More human would be coming out, and lord forbid if they saw her. She quickly retreated back into the cool cave, she felt restless now.

Shrap heard the villagers waking up in the valley below, a buzz about their experiances with the dragons. Shrap drifted off to sleep. his breathing slowed to a rythmic hum. his skin cooled by the moist cave air mixing with the crisp morning air, laden with dew.

Soul left Shrap resting and walked out of the cave, sitting outside in the warm sunlight. It shone on her scales, sending off fractured lights like a rainbow into the air. Her gl*censored*-like wings looked like it had been dipped in many pots of paint, as it acted like a diamond. She purred, stretching her neck out so the sun could hit every part of her body.

Shrap's dreams were of him back in his home land 100 years in the past, his family were enjoying another mornning in the mountains, a new la
yer of snow had fallen, his siblings resting next to him and his friends were out playing in the snow. Shouts rose, breaking the peaceful silence. Hundreds upon hundreds of French warriors invaded their home, Shrap woke up in time and snuck in an underground tunnel behind the cave, that went all the way to the bottom of the mountain. His siblings did not stir as the humans slaughtered their family. A few warriors killed his siblings in their sleep. Once all where dead, they cheered and made their trek back to their village. Shrap flew back to his cave and saw his whole family had been slain. Shrap jolted awake and whimpered at the dream.
