Adrian sat on a rock near the mouth of the mother cave, where the dragons lay to rest at night, and where they socialized and raised their young. He had no young to speak of yet, but he hoped this would be his lucky season. He was well strong enough to fight off human offenders last season. But it didn't do any good for the mate he had chosen then... He bent his head down in her memory, how she had been pelted with arrows the second the were in th air... he had killed every one of the humans that killed her, but he never stopped grieving. Luckily she had only been an omega, not too important in the cave, he was not severely punished by anyone other than himself. Adrian shook away the dark memories and lifted his head to Alex's famous mating call. He chuckled. Alex was his best friend. Her never failing mating calls never ceased to amaze him, and her scent always drew him in. But he knew it wasn't like that. They were only friends. Alex smiled at Adrian from the other side of the cave mouth. She had this way of cheering him up when he was thinking about his mate from last season. Absent-mindedly, she took to the air and followed the scent of the lake until she reached it. She flew close to the water, sending ripples across the surface. She dipped her clawed forearm into the cool water and snagged a good sized fish, swallowing it whole after cooking it with a generous amount of flames,

Dawn heard the calls of a female. She wasnt that interested in other females, they could be getting in the way of her getting a mate. She stood up in the broad cave and strethed her wings, the pain of the stretching muscles felt good in a weird way. She walked along the rocky floor of the edges of the cave area. She spotted Adrian, his face full of sadness. " Are you okay?" She asked sitting beside him.

Skyrath lifted her head, showing her long white neck. She opened her maw, giving off a great ringing cry. She sighed, hoping that a male would hear her roar, as she wished for mate.

Adrian smiled and nodded. "I'll be fine, I was just thinking about last season." he said. He stretched his wings. "I've also been dying to battle someone, I don't care if it's a human or another dragon, I need exercise, and hunting just doesn't cut it sometimes." Alex swirled downwards to land beside Skyrath. Honestly, she was always hostile towards other females. She glared at her in a warm way. "What are you doing?" she asked with a soft laugh. |

Alex snorted. "Good luck with that." she said with an eye roll. "No one ever goes for the Egg Protectors." she said. "You only have that job because you're useless for anything else, and males tend to want strong mates and young that can look after themselves." Alex said slyly, trying to get under Skywrath's scales.

"It's fine" Adrian said. "But always check the skies before flying in the open." He flapped his wings and hovered above the rock before shooting upwards at a dizzying speed. He scanned the surrounding in check for humans before gliding lower to meet Dawn.

Dawn leaped off of the rocks, her body started falling. She was almost to the ground when she suddenly flapped her wings and lifted up next to Adrian. "Okay, let s go." She said eagerly and started flying off at a moderate speed.

"So your a softy." Alex laughed. "Weak, soft, doesn't matter. Males can't tell the difference, niethercan I." Adrian easily matched her pace. The sun shone through his thin wings, casting a funny shadow on the ground. He dove downwards and swooped up at an easy angle, doing a 360 in the air tightly curving upwards to meet Dawn again. |

"Show off." She said laughing, she smiled at him and dove down. Below her was a great lake, she did a head-dive into thecool water. Her scales felt renewed and fresh. She Shook off the water like a wet dog, and flew back up. "Ha." She joked

"Grah, I can't top that." Adrian laughed. "I hate swimming with a p*censored*ion." He dove down to the water's edge and let out his cold blue flames. They froze the very top of the water's edge so that it was see-through. He smiled. "But now all the fish will suffocate because of lack of oxygen and we'll all have food for a month." |

She doved down and landed harshly on the ice. Suprisingly it held her weight. She slid on the ice and slipped back nxt to Adrian. "Nice job." She said smiling.
