He droped his head to their eye level welcome hatchlings, I am Ingothold, and this is my rider Gwen. Emerald looked at the huge dragon I'm Emerald he said.

Rage was stunned speechless by the sheer size of Ingothold, so basically he just sat there, gaping and staring. Fang rolled his eyes. I'm Fang, and this is Rage, He answered.

(LOL XD) Varjak rubed himself on Ingothold's leg and purred. You will need to train them he said/thought Emerald knows almost nothing. "You have an Eldunari with you" Gwen said "who's?". Sage's Emerald said/thought. And how much do the 2 of you know? he asked Fang and Rage. "What do you know of the ancient language, if anything?" Gwen asked. (GTG D8)

(LOL XD) Gwen sighed "right, the ancient language". Few humans know it, and fewer yet can use it. Every rider can use it, though with difering strengths. To work with magic, as you might call it, you must have a certain innate power. You also have to be able to summon this power at will. Once it is called upon, you have to use it or let it fade away. Understood? Now, if you wish to employ the power, you must utter the word or phrase of the ancient language that describes your intent. Ingothold said/thought. For example, Brisingr Varjak said/thought, makeing a small flame apper above his head. "If Varjak hadn't said brisingr nothing would have happened. So would my rider be limited by his knowledge of the ancient language? Emerald asked. "Yes" said Gwen.

"Okay," Rage said, although he still wasn't so sure how in the heck the knowlegde of this language would help. Well, making a flame appear above your head was pretty cool, he had to admit, but if one could only do things like that, then how would knowing it be of use...? Quit being stupid and listen.
