It was thought that each god ruled a certain part of the environment and human life. The primordial gods mostly controlled the natural environment. The twelve Olympian gods, as well as controlling nature, ruled over many aspects of human life, including love, marriage, war etc. In the stories of Greek mythology, the gods often argued among themselves, and played favorites with human beings. They would make things go well for a human, (particularly a hero), that they liked, but could make things go very badly for another god's favorite. They sometimes had love affairs with human beings, and when children were born, they often had special powers. These children are called "demigods". 

The big three (Zeus, Posidon, Hades) are forbidden to have children, but all three end up having kids anyways.

When the other gods and goddesses found about these children, they got mad. The children are sent to a little island filled with monsters and hardships. They need to prove themselves to the gods before that can leave. Can they get out, and show the gods that they deserve to be alive as much as anyone else? o3o

Charlotte's eyes scanned the lush green fields that surrounded her. The baby blue sky was dotted with numerous cotton-like clouds, contrasting with the bright yellow of the sun. A light breeze tugged at the ribbons holding her hair and the dress she was wearing; the dress her father had given her.

It was a deep indigo colour, gripping her body tightly in the chest area, and flowing gracefully to her ankles. Silver lace was sewn along the bottom of it.

Joshua sat at the edge of the water, eyes trailing after the far off horizon his heart seeked. Turquoise blue waves lapped softly at his feet, like they wanted him to come and play in the ocean's depths. But he didn't have time for that. He had to figure out a way to safely get off the island. For all he knew, he was the only one here.

The breese tugged playfully at his white shirt, slightly damp from the sea spray, and made his hair drift over his left eye.

Jace crouched in the darkness of the shadows behind the giant willow tree, eyes trailing after the minotaur that was walking away from him. Quickly drawing the bow and arrows he'd made from a fallen oak log, Jace knocked an arrow, drew the string back and took aim carefully.

His arms shook just as he released the arrow, and it missed the creature's head by only an inch. Jace spun around and pressed himself against the tree, breathing heavily, and waited for it to p*censored*. Eventually, it's deep breathing disappeared and Jace peered out from behind his hiding spot. It was completely gone.

Tempest tiptoed up to Jace, watching as he missed the animal, her hair was being wildy blown about her face in the wind. She walked up to Jace, tapping him on the shoulder, ready to jump away at any moment

Thea waved her hand around in the air watching as the glow around her hand disappear and reappear as she moved her hand in and out of the shadows. She finally put her hand down and got up. Her father had been Apollo, so she wasn't one of the 'Big Three'. She didn't care though. She smiled to herself and entertained herself by moving sunlight.

Anthony  was busy practicing to bend water when he neede it. He was quite handy with his sword, but preffered water as a weapon any day. He saw his some-how or another half brother Josh. He walked up to him. "Are you thinking about Dad?" 

The hair on the back of Josh's neck stood on end at his father's name. His eyes grew cold, and he looked away from Anthony. "Why would I think about that no-good bastard of a father?" He snarled harshly, pulling his feet away from the waters.

Jace spun around, narrowing his eyes when he saw Tempest. He didn't say anything, but knocked another arrow. His heart pounded in his chest; he wondered if she was going to attack him too.

Charlotte sighed, getting to her feet and brushing herself off. She started to walk towards the beach, looking forwards to taking off her shoes and wading into the salty waters, having the gentle waves tug at her legs and the sand in her feet. 

She didn't take her shoes off, nor did she go into the water. Instead, she lifted her eyes and stared in mute horror at the approaching storm.

"I just see you here often, I as.sume that is what you are thinking about, but anyways...," he said trailing off when he saw the storm clouds coming. "What in blazes..?," he muttered to himself. "What is all that about?"

Thea laughed somewhat at Jace. "You seem a little jumpy today," she said appearing like she had come outta nowhere.  

Josh stood up, brushing the sand off of himself, and gave Anthony a cold look. "Look, Anthony," he muttered, "You may be my half-brother or whatever, but that doesn't meen I like you." He added, "At all. And I don't like you at all, so stop talking to me, okay?" He shifted his eyes to the storm for a moment, shook his head and stormed away.

He shoved Charlotte into the water as he p*censored*ed her; no daughter of Zeus should be on the beach, where a son of Poseidon should be.

Charlotte fell into the water, staring after Josh in shock as he walked away. She was soaked; her dress was drenched completely, but nothing showed through, thanks to the dark colouring. Thank god she hadn't wore white today. 

She stood back up, looking herself over and letting out a distressed groan. She didn't understand why she was here; she had no idea her father was actually Zeus. He had appeared to her like a human...

Jace shifted uncomfortably, eyes flicking between the two females. He stayed completely silent though, not wanting to socialize with anyone. He wasn't up for that.
