Phoenix shook around he thought that he would not make it. Suddenly he had an idea. He would lean to the side the role onto his back that would injure him. He stood still and did what he had thought. "That's for attacking me you monster." he whispered as he rolled onto the floor.

The family of wolves on the great black wolves back were crushed. Some of the breath was pushed out of their lungs, but the wooden armour gave protection. Hakura and Jules flapped their legs around helplessly as they were truly caught beneath the stone armour and plus the wolves body weight. They waited either for death, or to find a way out.

Phoenix kept rolling around, hoping one would whimper off or die. He knew it would be risky to get up in his heavy stone armour, so he didn't stop. As he rolled, he scrached one and then another in the face gently. "You shouldn't have messed with me." He murmerd in a devilsh voice loud enough for them to hear.

Shadow growled as she was crushed under the weight of the wolf and tried to grab any uncovered part of his body with her teeth. Her eyes seemed to reflect only the anger that filled her mind and flowed out through her teeth as they connected with the other alpha's stomach and she latched on with crushing force,but didn't manage to get her mouth completely covering his stomach. She only got enough to make sure she could hurt him.

Hakura wriggled and squeezed her way from beneath Phoenix's body half way. She then pulled her other half out when he rolled over the opposite direction to her. 'being small does have advantages.' She thought, and didn't hesitate to get helping her parents. She grabbed Shadow by the scruff, where the fur was thickest, and pulled. She tugged desperately. She had chosen to free her mother first, because she needed a bit of moms advice. Jules was a huge wolf and take two to free him.

Phoenix whined as he was being tugged at by the force of two wolves. He tucked his head under his stomache and thankfully caught a bit of the wolfs fur. He clung on as tight as he could tugging hard hoping the wolf would get off by doing this.

Shadow let go when she felt herself being tugged and began to help by wiggling and finally she was free. Now they needed to get Jules free and attack this Griffin Pack's Alpha before he could stand. She quickly bit his muzzle and let go before grabbing Jules scruff and trying her best to pull him free.

Phoenix whined once he was bit on his muzzle and lunged his front legs forward to scratch shadows back in return. Once he had done that he moved back and got up straight away then ran off. He hid in a place no one knew except him and rubbed his muzzle in the grass to get the blood off it, then got back to fight again.

Hakura and Jules grinned in sync when Phoenix whimpered off. "Wimp." her voice growled, and she began trotting over to the place where Phoenix had gone. "Oh, come out, come out, wherever you are! Surrender or die, my little puppy. It's as simple as that." She taunted, a large, blood covered, ugly grin on her face. Jules followed and smirked at his daughters sarcasm and cleverness.

Shadow followed them and grinned at the sight of the poorly hidden wolf. She then said,to her mate,"The Griffin Pack needs a stronger,braver,wolf as alpha,don't they?" Phoenix was shocked to see every wolf from the Minotaur pack surrounding him. He growled and closed his eyes. "This is the end of me, I'm a failure." He said in a disappointed voice. He tensed all his muscles and braced for impact.

Hakura grinned nastily as the helpless black Phoenix cringed. She stepped a little closer. "Any last words?" She asked. Jules followed his quick thinking daughter and opened his blood filled mouth.

Aria heard the laughs and snarls of the Minotaur pack. She trotted a little closer to investigate, and saw a circle of the entire pack ganging up on Phoenix. She began running, as without her armour this was actually possible. When she got close enough, she gathered up a full sprint and rammed herself into Shadows side, knocking her over, then knocking Jules over, knocking Hakura over, knocking another wolf over, until it was wolf dominoes. Aria watched with delight. "Nobody is taking the place of Alpha!" She shouted, and grabbed Phoenix by the scruff. She tugged him back. "Retreat! Retreat!" She shouted to the remaining lot of the Griffins. The pack were soon out of sight, leaving the Minotaurs wriggling and squirming like worms on the ground.

Shadow was first to pop up and saw that the Griffin's were leaving. She then knew that it would be less a danger to limp from her injury and she raised her paw up from the ground. She watched the others begin to rise and said,"They left,they don't have enough bravery to keep fighting." Her blood-stained fur and face was the last of them escape over the horizon and grinned. "We'll get 'em next time."

Phoenix ran off with Aria, "That was one very brave thing to do without your armour..." He said in a shocked voice. "I liked it when you did wolf dominos, that was clever!" He said and smiled. Without you, I would have been dead meat." He said in a grateful voice and kept running ahead.
