Try to skim or read as much of this as you can: Humanity took a turn when creatures we had thought to be myths and legends suddenly revealed themselves to us as real. We were scattered for the longest time until we forgot all of the technology we used to have. All our history was lost. Then a man by the name of Veran lead a rebellion. After the rebellion, humans could live in peace and comfort in what is now called the Land of Plenix, the only place where humans now live, ruled by Commander Veran.

And then they started to attack. Strange creatures that are called faeries ride on the backs of griffins and plague us, coming from the forests that humans never dare stray into. Their attacks are getting more and more frequent. Now they are actually causing people to die or get injured. Now only the capitol city, Klairkure, is safe. Commander Veran will not stand for this, but he is not fit to fight now. He is advanced in his age and cannot risk going out. The faeries seem to be planning something big now, too. Something that the humans won't expect. 

Then a group of 7 people offer their service to him; the Riders. No, NOT dragon riders. In fact, dragons are an often problem in the Land of Plenix. No, the Riders are a group of people who learned from the faeries and decided to learn how to ride on griffins. They are fast and can be tamed, although it takes a certain amount of skill to tame and then ride one. The griffins are loyal to their masters and become their companions.

Hopefully you skimmed that. Anyway, I think this will make an interesting rp. First of all let me lay down some things... You can do whatever you want with your character, including make them evil and betray everyone etc, and I don't even have to know. If you have any ideas about the plot whatsoever, just rmail me. I will choose a co-owner after I see who is active and follows these rules the most:

Thou shalt not use chatspeak, power play, or gm. Basic roleplaying rules. Please be at least semi literate. This means capitolization and puncuation. I don't care so much about spelling because I myself am not the world's best speller. Please try to fix any typos in your post that you spot. I don't care how long your post is. So long as it moves on the plot and serves a purpose, I don't care if its one sentence or a whole page. Cursing is allowed, but only damn and hell please. Anything else and I'll ask you to leave. Violence is okay, as is some romance, but don't let it get in the way of the plot, unless you have rmailed me and it has something to do with a plot twist or whatever. Please try to keep things at PG-13 or PG-14. Please post "bubbles" in your favorite color if you read this.

Name: Veran (aka: Commander Veran)

Gender: Male

Age: Old. About 70.

Who are you?: The commander/ head of government

Personality: Veran doesn't like giving up and doesn't believe that there is such thing as an impossible situation. There's always a way out of something or a way to win, even in the most desperate times. 

Appearance: His hair, once black, is very thin now and mostly grey. He has a medium length beard that is black and grey. He wears a purple cloak over a white shirt tucked into neat black pants ((I don't really know what to call them, I'm just acting smart.. Dx )) 

History: As stated above he grew up wanting freedom and later he was the leader of a rebellion and helped build the land of Plenix up. The people wanted him to be king but he said that they would instead be run by the government.

Age: around 20

Who are you?: Head of the Riders

Personality: Her appearance and name often decieve people into thinking she's weak and soft. She quickly teaches them otherwise. She's stuborn at times, and doesn't resort to violence unless she has to. Will rp it out.

Appearance: She has long soft auburn hair that falls down a little ways past her shoulders. She has deep blue eyes. She's actually quite short, but makes up for it with quickness and cleverness. She always carries a dagger with her, and a bow and arrows.

History: Not much, although she had been taming a griffin named Verexa for a while and then spent some years training herself to ride her and fight while flying. She got the idea when she saw the faeries on the backs of griffins and thought it would be good if humans could do it too.

Age: One, about to turn two

Gender: female

Personality: She is brave and bold and enjoys being free. This is a new character, but you'll get to know her more in the rp.

Appearance: She's small, so her and Heather are a good match. She has a fairly big wingspan, and is mostly built for speed. Unlike most griffins you see in books and such where their feathers are white and their lion part is more of a sandy color, Verexa has scarlet colored feathers and black lion's fur.

Name: Aria

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Who are you: Rider

Personality: Aria is determined, smart and brave. She is friendly and cheerful, but has a slight temper, especially if her friends are threatened. She is curious and quick thinking.

Appearance: Aria has long, somewhat curly dark brown hair and a pale face with high cheekbones and full lips. She has green-hazel eyes and skin that dries out easily. She is a bit on the short side, with a strong but slender build.

History: She rescued and healed her Griffin a while back, but her training is not quite complete yet.

Other: She is very quick and strong for her size. She carries a dagger in her boot and up her sleeve, and a quiver full of arrows with a bow that she has had all her life.
