Felix sighed and stood up. He moved past the three sleeping figures of The Reapers and he slipped past the door, and out into the barren desert. The wind blew. Rocks below him formed a ridged mountain, revealing the whole desert and that beyond. He gazed at the drop, smiled and he jumped off the cliff, letting the wind take him. He angled himself like a cat, doing flips. Finally, he landed on his feet, his knees bent. Only a tiny trigger of pain went through him.

Felix smiled, revealing his sharp teeth. He closed his mind and placed his palm on the warm sand. With the sand and his mind, he created a small device. He picketed it up, touched it to his lips, whispered something, then threw it back up the mountain and into the window of the large house. He cocked his ear and he heard a satisfying thunk as it hit one of his Reaper's heads. He grinned and he ran through the desert, moving at a pace faster than anything. he was the Desert Strider when he lived in his desert home. Here, he ran through the deserts, searching for food and water, like a nomad. He saw a small bump in the sand, a well disguised a a hill dune, and he went to it, his mouth watering.

"Greedy Bastards." he growled, throwing the cloak off and dipping his face in the freezing cold pool of water. 

Melanie growled at the rabbit she was trying to catch in her wolf form. "C'mon," She barked, "Stop it!" She pounced at it another time, and successfully caught it. "Finally," She whispered, then ripped its flesh in two seconds flat. She felt warm blood travel down her throat and she smiled in bliss. The meat was warm and juicy. Satisfied, Melanie shifted back into her human form.

She wiped off blood from her mouth with the back of her hand. She spat the fat of the rabbit on the ground, and then she ran out of the forest to the river. It was easier to run on two legs than four to her. She sighed when she got to the river, and drank. She found this difficult to do with a human tounge, so she shifted to a wolf again. Lapping up the nice, cold water, she shivered with pleasure. She hadn't had anything to drink in days. Melanie didn't like the human drinks her dad would have.

"Damn it," She muttered as a small minnow bit her tounge. "Stupid fish."

She grew up as a spoiled little rich girl in London, England. One day she ran away from home to go meet herboyfriend her parents didn't want her to see. It was a rather foggy Novemeber day so when she went into the woods she didn't notice she was being followed by some guy. When she found her boyfriend he was dead and his skin was grey. She heard  a laugh and spun around and saw the vampire who killed her beloved. He attacked her but because he was full from her bofriend he didnt drain her completely. She woke days later as a vampire. Horified she ran away. Over the centeries she lost her accent but sometime if you listen closely you can here a little twinge of it.

Felix sniffed the air and he looked around. He walked farther into the Oasis's forest, gazing at everything with a strange and silent study. He had only ever been here once.
