Poppy skidded to a halt, right in front of Crispin, and turned around to glare at Nathaniel with narrowed, blazing eyes. "If you're smart, you will not ask those questions again." She turned back around, dropping by Crispin's side. Her heart started to tear in two directions. Nathaniel, and Crispin. She looked at him worriedly. "...Crispin?!"

He screamed loudly in pain. "And how?" He managed to upturn the corners of his mouth, but it looked more pathetic than re*censored*uring. "It's okay, Poppy. I've accepted my fate. I have since I contracted AIDS. How I die is just... a detail." He didn't want to die. But he might as well make Poppy feel better about it.

"What I'm about to do will shock you," Without seeing if he did as she said, she bit down gently on Crispin's leg, and started to suck otu the venom. She moaned softly when she tasted his blood, and bit down a little harder in pleasure.
