Poppy blinked, stomach twisting slightly in discomfort. She tried to drag her gaze away from his, but apparently that wasn't possible. She stood and stared at him just outside the door, totally unaware of anyone else besides him. Crispin.

Nathaniel blinked. "What's that supposed to mean? You think they only gave you food 'cause you're hot or some sh.it?" he asked, getting to his feet. "I mean, I don't look that bad, do I? I used to get a lotta girls, but when word got out that I was, you know, dying, I didn't get as many... "So, you think they'll give me food?" ( xD He needs to shut up some times. )

Crispin smiled. He was slightly uncomfortable in the bizarre situation, but he couldn't shake the fact that he actually liked it. He wanted to stroke Poppy's cheek, to just stand here for an eternity... but he wondered if the feeling was mutual. He blushed slightly, and the small upturned curve of his mouth grew increasingly more angled. Her name repeated a hundred times in his head. Poppy. The name sent chills down his spine, and he realized how beautiful she was. ((Wow. O.O))

Poppy finally dragged her eyes away from him. He's human, she reminded herself harshly. He's human. Without another word or glance his way, she brushed past him and started down the hallway briskly. _______ Jace smirked. "That's good to hear." He finished off his piece of pizza, and glanced up at Nathaniel through his bangs, and adjusted his glas$es neervously.

"What?" Nathaniel asked, swallowing some bit of pizza. "Do I have something on my face?" He lifted his hand to his face, feeling around his mouth to see if he had pizza on his face or something like that.

When she brushed past him, Crispin blinked, realizing what just happened, and frowned, disappointed. He would have cried if he had longer than a month or so to live. But he wouldn't give up.
"What's wrong," he whimpered. He followed after her swift pace. He stopped, his heart heavy, and pleaded. "Please," he begged. A reluctant tear fell down his marble cheek. He had a mournful look in his eyes, and he fought back the urge to grab her.

Poppy stopped walking, and she smelled something that seemed like salt. Tears? She turned around slowly, looking at Crispin with grave, serious eyes. She hadn't cried since her days as a human toddler, nor did she plan to cry again. ________ Jace blinked, shaking his hair out of his face. "Nothing," he said simply. "I was just thinking." He started to play with his glas ses, trying to avoid meeting Nathaniel's eyes. Awkward.

Aurora could hear voices outside. She got up and walked over to the door. She paused and cracked open the door so she could listen. She knew how rude it was to listen on somene else's conversation but it was the only other interesting thing to do around here.
