Nathaniel blinked, then sat down next to Jace and set a hand on his back. "Sorry about that, man." he said. And, he was being sincere. "I guess she didn't want to deal with the pain that came along with you dying."

Courtney looked flirtatiously at Ash. "Whatever way you want." She smiled. Crispin shuddered grimly, and paused, staring into her expressionless eyes. "Fine," he whispered sadly, and he walked away.

Ash laughed. He turned right and started to head down the long line of rooms, "Well, first I should make sure my sister hasn't gotten herself into trouble...She is good at that." He said. Kitty skipped towards Aurora, "Hi! Are you hungry? So am I. I wonder if we can eat here..." Kitty said. She grabbed Aurora's hand and drug her into the small room where the smell of food was coming from. Aurora didn't make any movement to stop from going into the room. Kitty stopped in front of Nathaniel and Jace, "Hello...Could you tell us where we could get some of that pizza?" She asked smiling. |

Poppy stared after him, pain churning in her stomach, until she finally mustered up the ability to turn around. She walked down the hallway slowly, eyes on her feet, as she thought over what just happened. But he's human! She reminded herself. _______ Jace shrugged off Nathaniel's hand unhappily. Then, Kitty and Aurora walked up to them. "Over there," he said quietly, pointing to the counter where he had gotten his pizza.

Nathaniel, glad for a random distraction, smiled at the ladies. But he didn't say anything, as he had nothing to say. He actually turned back to Jace instead and muttered, "You asked for sympathy, you got it. Don't shrug it off," And literally, don't shrug me off.

Jace snapped back under his breath, usually smooth voice as cold and hard as ice. "I didn't ask for anything. Now why don't you back off; or do I have to make you?" He never was violent, but he did know how to throw a good punch. And this kid was stirring up emotions he didn't want to feel.

Aurora eyes moved from Nathaniel to Jace. This is getting interesting. She thought wanting to stay and listen. Kitty narrowed her eyes, "Um...Okay, then bye!" She said dragging Aurora towards the counter Jace had pointed at. She quickly ordered two pieces of pizza. She gave one to Aurora and took a bite from the other one. |

"Jeez," Nathaniel sighed loudly, a smile pulling at his lips. "Tryin' out the old Mr. Tough Guy act, eh?" He lowered his voice: "Listen, man. A bet a lot of us are really pissy right now, but that doesn't mean you have to take things out on anyone else." Mostly, Nathaniel was only trying to anger Jace for some amusement. A little part of him actually did care about his problems, but mostly, he was bored and he wanted to do something.

Jace gritted his teeth and closed his eyes, reminding himself that he'd gain nothing from trying to kill Nathaniel. He exhaled, and blinked his hard silver eyes at the boy. "Go fxck yourself." He said crossly, standing up and looking away from him. Then, he walked across the cafeteria and sat somewhere else. Damn. That felt good!

"Ah, what a stupid thing to say." Nathaniel laughed, throwing his head back. "I should wash his mouth out with soap, but I doubt he'd be able to come up with anything good to say. With or without swear words." He was mostly talking to himself then, smiling and still chuckling some.

Jace stared at the ceiling, trying to ignore Nathaniel's laughing. It was one of those annoying, irritating laughs that grated on your nerves until you finally got up and snapped their neck to get them to stop. He blinked, trying to shove off the image of him doing that.

( xD Obnoxious laughing. ) Nathaniel actually got to the point where he had to bite down on his tongue to stop chuckling, and even then he was still snickering. He thought he was going insane, because normally he wouldn't be so giggly about something that wasn't even that funny. Maybe for a minute or two, but still. He looked back at Jace. The look on his face made him grin.

Aurora plugged her ears trying to get the laughter from drowning her thoughts. She got up sliding the chiar from under her. The chair made a loud scretching noise that hurt her ears even more. She dug through her bag trying to find her music player. She winced as he snickered and turned towards him ,"Can you please shut up! You laughing is making my ears cry!" She spat now angry. |

Jace exhaled slowly, blowing the hair that was hanging in front of his eyes out of the way of his vision. He went over the consequences and rewards for shooting Nathaniel the finger, but he finally decided it wasn't worth it. He adjusted his glas ses again.

Aurora growled,"Good." She snapped. She turned back around and sat back down in her seat. She didn't like being called slow but it felt like the laughter was still buzzing through her ears. She plugged them with her fingers and closed her eyes. "Are you okay?" Kitty asked. "Sorry, I just have really...Sencitive ears." Aurora said waiting for the noises to stop. |

Poppy strode into the cafeteria, and sat down next to Nathaniel without a word or glance his way; she knew he was there, but she didn't feel like letting him know that. She nibbled at her salad fakely, even though she couldn't eat it, a dull ache developing in the heart she didn't know she had.
