"Wake up," called a voice, and a hand was set on Nathaniel's shoudler. He groaned as the hand shook him.
"Go. Away." he growled, swatting the hand away. "I have dysania."
His mother frowned, setting her hands on her hips and poking her lower lip out. "Do you think you can confuse me with random words?" she asked.
"Actually," Nathaniel sat up in bed. "I think I can. Did you know I have insomnia, too?"
Rolling her eyes, his mother kicked his bed lightly, and walked off, saying, "You don't have dysania." Nathaniel smiled after her. If there was anyone he didn't mind, it was his mother. Besides, you couldn't hate the person who gave birth to you.
Sighing, Nathaniel got out of bed and dressed. Too bad his mother did some annoying things. Forcing him to go to this...camp was one of those annoying things. Always pessimistic, Nathaniel saw this camp as a horrible idea. No doubt a few kids would wind up dead, whether they be killing each other or themselves.
"I'm leaving now," Nathaniel called, swinging a bag over his shoulder. The other he was carrying was at his other side, and both packs smacked against his body as he started walking. Soon, he could see a few buses, and he had to hold back a groan. Crap, he thought. I'm going to be crammed into a bus with -- what? -- seventy-five other kids? How many people can buses carry?
Even so, he stepped up behind a teacher, hoping they wouldn't notice him.

"Time for school! You'll be late if you don't hurry up!"
Bade snarled. Reluctantly, he dragged himself out of bed to change, pulling his leather jacket over his V-neck white shirt. Of course, he thought he looked pretty sexy in a V-neck. He couldn't help but smirk at his reflection in the mirror. Dyed white hair made him look like a rebel, and...
"Hurry!"
An annoying step-mother irritated him. She had no right to be bossing him around; she was not his mother. And, his father was a traitor. He'd married that woman like it was no problem, right after his real mother died. Maybe, they'd been having an affair while his father was still married to his mother, and that's why it was only a few months before they wed.
Bade clenched his fists. Forget it. he told himself. You'll only end up yelling at the pretty girls. He tried smiling now, and he grabbed his things, hurrying out of his room. His step-mother tried to stop him, saying, "You have to eat something!" but Bade was already scurrying out the door. He jumped into his father's car, looking over at his own sadly. It's not like he was going to leave his car at school for however long he'd be staying at that camp.
So, he let his father drive him to school. Instead of saying goodbye, Bade just hopped out of the car without saying a word and walked over to the buses. This was probably going to be horrible.
