Darius stared at the approaching teenagers. "Already?" He whined, dropping his hands to his sides. "But we just got here!" He glanced back at his troupe. "C'mon, guys. We'll have to work faster than usual." The obeyed, walking away.

"Welcome." Darius purred stepping towards the teens. He held up a small staff in one hand, a red diamond on top. The common ringmaster accessory. He looked over the female, then the males. Nathan had let go of Nathaniel's hand, stuffing his own in his pocket.

"Hello," Nathaniel greeted, bowing slightly. He felt a cold hand on his chin and cheeks, and then he felt his chin being held up. "What are you-" Something came over his mouth, and he squealed, pulling away from Darius.

"Good-looking teens." Darius laughed. "Thats pretty much all we ever attract." His hand strayed out towards Colette, reaching for her chin. "Good thing though. More fun for me~"

"What an awful first kiss." Nathan chuckled quietly. "Sorry about that, Nath." Nath glared at his brother.

"Shuddup." He sniffed.

The bell rang, finally, and Sofie got up, ignoring the kid. She had all her crap, so she didn't need to go to her locker. Sighing for the thirty-th time that day, she began to walk home, but something drew her to the train tracks. That gut feeling that something important was coming. In the distance there was a train car, which was odd. Not much stopped in this town, or at least not much that she could tell. The feeling grew stronger as she got closer, and Sofie could make out the writing on the side of the car, Circus Gothica. A circus. But the name implied something that sounded more menacing. Little kid circuses weren't named Gothica. Barnum and Bailey was a better little kid name. "This may be worth checking out..." She murmured, and slowing walked forward, looking at the train car.

Charade looked at the kids coming up as Darius left to go greet them. Quickly grabbing her swords and other preformance "accesories", she stepped out of the train car. "Don't scar the poor kids, Sir." She smirked at Darius as she walked by, making her way over to the tents.

Darius' attention swerved to another female. "Wow, wow, wow! All the teenagers here are so attractive." He breathed out the word "attractive," his green eyes glowing with glee. "I was right to stop here." His advancing hand stopped, and he pulled both girls towards him, giving each of them a kiss.

"And they've got soft lips." Darius murmured, watching the teens with wide eyes, beaming. Nathaniel shuddered, hugging his younger brother.

"Calm down, Nath." Nathan said, chuckling. "Its not like he'll rip off your lips and stick 'em in a box."

"Is it not?" Darius asked, laughing. He shrugged. "It might be possible."

Sofie's eyes widened, and when Darius pulled away, she edged slowly away. She was right apparently, the kid in her cl*censored* was a twin, and apparently them and another girl she didn't know had found the train too. They certainly had a...warm welcome. A woman with odd violet eyes, and slitted pupils like a cats walked past. This place was filled with creeps. But the feeling in her gut stayed, and so did Sofie.

Charade finished with her back room, she never helped put up the tents unless it was imperative. She walked back outside. A new girl had come, she was obviously tentative about both her and Darius. Smirking, she leaned against one of the crates outside the tent. If the kids wanted to come near her now, they could, but like she said earlier, she didn't like too much attention.

Darius' ears moved slightly. He had realized that he could move his ears when he was eight years old, and now he did it almost all the time. Without even realizing it, too.

"Charade!" He called, turning around and waving, an open-mouthed grin making him look quite childish indeed. "Come here! I know you don't like attention, but you're gonna get it!" His mouth closed, but his teeth remained visible, and he closed his eyes, looking like a realistic anime character. Darius turned back to the teenagers, beaming again.

"This Charade. She does one of my favorite acts ever!" Darius explanined, twirling around on one foot when he said "ever!" "Sword eating! Wanna show them, Charade? Wanna, wanna, wanna?" Nathaniel cocked an eyebrow, looking over at Nathan without moving his head.

"Now, if he's calling us 'teenagers' all the time, that would mean he's an adult, right?" Nathaniel asked. Nathan shrugged.

"He's very childish, though I'm seeming like a hypocrite at the moment." Nathan replied, a calm ex
pression overcoming him.

"Yes, you are." Nath said, shrugging. "Look it! The tents are going up!" He exclaimed, grabbing Nathan's hand and pointing up to a black, purple, white and grey tent. "You sure like those colors, huh?" He asked, looking over at the ringmaster.

"Yes, I do. Call me 'Darius' by the way."

"Of course not, dear." Darius murmured, lifting Charade's chin up slightly. "Your other acts are just as entertaining." He brushed his lips on her forehead. "If you'd like, you can show them your card tricks." He grinned, remembering the first time he had seen her tricks. He had been amazed, and therefore, Charade had been accepted into the troupe.

How old was I when she joined? Darius thought, tilting his head. Ah, I dunno.

Nathan pulled his hand out of Nath's own, then rubbed his hands together. "I love card tricks! I know a few, myself. But I prefer turning one dollar bills into hundred dollar bills. Very fun indeed~" He said, staring at Charade in anticipation. Nathaniel stared at Nathan, then shrugged.

"Nathan, maybe you'd like to come to the show, then?" He asked, cocking his head at his brother. Darius clapped his hands.

"Thats right, you haven't introduced yourselves! Thats quite rude, you know." He exclaimed, frowning at the teenagers. Nathan blinked.

"I'm Nathan. He's Nathaniel, and I don't know who everyone else is." He explained, pointing to his older brother. "He's my twin."

Sofie looked up. Card tricks? Sword eating? Maybe these were her kind of people. "I'm Sofie." She said, standing a little taller.

"Sofie? That was my mother's name..." Charade murmured, snapping out of her sad facade. "I don't to money tricks though. Only swords and cards. My favorite is the Ace of Spades." She flipped the card up in her right hand, holding it between her middle and index fingers. "Or maybe the Queen of Hearts?" She flipped the card, it was now a Queen of Hearts. "Maybe a Joker?" The card flipped again, a Joker. "But some people don't like cards, I guess." Charade blew on the card, and it turned to dust, the particled floating away.

Sofie's eyes widened. How could she do that? Charade had no sleeves, she was in a sleevless dress, and the card was obviously a regular playing card. "How-" Sofie began, but was cut off.

"Now, now child. A magician never reveals her secrets." Charade smiled, exposing her perfect white teeth, and oddly sharper than average canines. Sofie ran her tongue along her own canines, feeling the points.

Colette froze as Darius pulled away. Obviously he is insane. Or he's French. She thought and watched the other's ignore her. She relaxed and watched Charade do the tricks She thought of asking questions, but kept her mouth shut. "I'm Colette." She said introducing herself a little late. She quickly shut her mouth and ducked her head.

Evessence watched as she saw the other teens head in the way of the circus. She sighed. "It might be worth a shot." She muttered to herself. She flipped her white-blond hair and got up.
She saw the colourful Circus Gothica train p*censored* earlier.
Something about was mysterious and something about was...was..luring. When she saw it she knew she had to go.
She got off the bench and started walking towards the fair.

When She got there she watched as a man kissed a boy and a girl. "What a warm welcome.' She muttered. Sure the man was good looking but still...
She shook her head. Another woman came and did a cool trick.
"Woah..."Evessence said under her breath. She sucked in a breath debateing wherether to go and introduce herself or not. Eventually she did. She walked up. to them. "That was a pretty cool trick." She said. Her soft voice wavering alittle.

She looked at the other people. She regonized the two boys from her school. She didnt exactly know them but she also saw them, or was it one of them running up and down the halls of the school trying to get to cl*censored*. She didnt know who the other two were but she *censored*umed they were fromm school too.

Evessence nodded as she looked from the igrl fom school. "You felt it too?" She whispered back. Hopping that this girl felt it too. She was glad she wasn't the only one. "Did you get that warm welcome?"She asked a dazzleing smile playing across her lips.
