"He joined us after you did, Karienne. He just likes to hide like unicorns like to do." Darius wrapped his arms around Roiben's neck, smiling. "Doesn't this make you happy? That all those 'childish' beliefs you had when you were younger are true and not just silly fairy tales? It makes me happy."
"Probably because you're still a kid." Ryo muttered.
"And so are you, Ryo." Darius said softly, twirling a lock of snow white hair between his fingers. Roiben shook his mane out again, and Darius sighed. "Seventeen years is still a kid, even though you're trialed as an adult. Eighteen years of age is when you're officially considered an adult, but you're still treated like a child. Twenty-one is when everyone thinks you're mature enough to be treated like an adult, even though you've already been one for three years."
"...Shut up." Ryo's ears pinned against his head.
Nathan laughed, once again clinging to Nathaniel's side like he loved. "Burn." Nathan said simply.
"I agree." Espen laughed, finally speaking after a while.
