Even though it was still early, the sun was warm. Remael led his father's horse and the cart carrying a load of goods into the main town. Normally, it was his father that did this, took the harvest's product to town to sell and trade, but he had fallen ill and was unable to do so. As the eldest son, it was Remael's job to take things over. The horse neighed in complaint as the cart rumbled over a rut in the road. Remael soothed the animal with gentle strokes along its neck, continuing to lead it towards the waking town.

((Lol, we're just impatient. XDD))

Cora stared intently out her balcony, staring into space, thinking. She didn't know what she was thinking about, just..thinking. Her balcony had a view over the town, and she always loved to watch the residents mill around. It sure would be nice to be them, She thought to herself. Free to do anything... She got snapped back into reality when a servant knocked on her door, probably for breakfast.

Kiana sat silently in her small alley that she lived in. She wore a tattered dress and no shoes. Her stringy black hair hung in her face as she slept silently. She awoke with a start her icy blue eyes flashing open. A cart went past her alley. Food filled the back. A boy, older than kia lead it. She ran towards it. She knew that it was wrong to take from others but she needed some food. She breathed deeply and concentrated on a cucumber on the outside edges of the cart. She raised her hands, imagining that the vegtable raised with them. She she opened her eyes the cucumber was floating in mid air. She jerked her hands towards her and cucumber was in her hand. She smiled and ran away hoping the boy hadn't seen her use magic.

(*gasp* shame on you Kia!!!!)

Remael heard a shuffling off to the side, but figured it to be a stray dog or something; it was too early for most people to be awake. He led the cart to the central plaza, lifting a few crates off the back to place them on the ground. He glanced at the sky. It was going to be a hot day. Remael sighed, his neck already seeming to sweat in preperation for the comming ordeal. T=He also felt a tingling in his fingers. That feeling usually meant somethign bad was going to happen, but Remael refused to let it bring him down, figuring that he would overcome the issue when he came to it.

((Lol, I hate waiting. xDD))

"Mistress, my orders were to serve you food. The king specifically requested for me to wtach over you and make sure you eat." The servant had been pressuring Cora for the last few minutes, and it obviously wasn't working.

"I said, it's okay. I'm not hungry."

"Mistress, I insist."

"I said, don't call me mistress! I'm Cora. C-O-R-A."

"Mistress please-"

"If I eat, will you go away?"

"That's what the king an I agreed on."

Cora sighed and slowly ate her breakfast, finishing off with goat's milk. She put the cup back on the tray and as the servant left, she stared back out her balcony again.

Kia smiled as she sat down and sliced the cucumber with some air she could control. She ate the slices quickly and cast a spell on it to keep it fresh. She shoved the half in her pocket and went into town smiling.

Remael had just finished unloading the last of the crates when he heard a paniced neigh. He turned around to see his father's horse rearing. A young boy stood nearby, throwing rocks at the animal. From his dress, Remi could see he was a noble, somethign that really made him angry. He stomped over to the boy, roughly grabbing his arm and yelling, "What are you doing, you little brat?!"

The boy cried out in agitation and tore himself out of Remi's grasp. He dashed away then, Remi chasing after him. It didn't take long for Remi to catch up to the boy and he tackled him to the ground, or, rather, into a pile of crates filled with tomatos. A few moments later, Remi found himself being pulled up form the ground, covered in his father's tomatos, and the boy wailing to a pair of armored guards. Remi fought against the grips of his captors. he put up such a fight that they actually had to knock him out with several hard hits on the temple. The world turned black and Remi lost conciousness.
