Felix felt his rage and his need. That awful need. "I can't.... I won't.... I have to..." He breathed hard. "What am I going to do?" He whispered, half to himself. His voice sounded like he was only a 7 year old, crying for his mother. He leaned his hot head against a tree that he was willing himself not to break. "You know how... the change... well.. changed me? Well... it increased not just my strength... but my temper and memories of my painful past." He winced then. "Lanen, what Im going to tell you is going to make you very sad and probably hate me." Suddenly, his eyes became eager and sad. "Please don't hate me. I love you. But when I first met you, I was wary. When we started talking of our pasts.... Everything I said was a lie. Everything. Im sorry.... I realize now that I was foolish..." He winced and his fist trembled with uncontrollable rage.
