((Ok, awesome! I'm gonna start us off now. Have fun, everyone!))
It was roughly mid-morning and about an hour since Alexis had woken up. She had awoken much earlier than her fellow test subjects - with the possible exception of Echo, as Alexis hadn't seen her - and she had quickly done a patrol of the area to be sure they were safe. Sure enough there were none of W.A.S.P's agents in sight, so she and the other unwilling test subjects were safe. For now, at least. Coming back to the group, Alexis walked over to the shaded patch of ground under a tree where she had slept and crouched down on all fours, like the feline she had the DNA of inside her, her tail flicking every so often. She frowned; where was Echo? Alexis hadn't seen her sister all morning. Could she have run off?
No, her question was answered seconds later as Echo wandered over, moving quietly and gracefully on all fours as per normal. The silent girl sat like a cat about ten feet away from Alexis and shifted her head a little to one side. Her white tail twitched. Alexis smiled at her.
"Good morning, sis." Alexis greeted the shy girl. "Are you ok?" Echo said nothing, just pausing a moment in further silence before letting out a cat's mew before turning and wandering off a little way, again on all fours. Alexis sighed a little ad watched as Echo pawed at the ground with one clawed hand. She looked like she was hungry, and she was looking for food.

Kye slowly woke up. She rubbed her eyes and got up. She was very hungry. Something juicy would be good. She looked at Alexis and asked "What's for breakfast?" Her back was very sore and her voice sounded raspy.

Komodo woke up around the time people started talking. He was a pretty light sleeper, and talking almost always managed to wake him up. He rolled over, not remembering he decided to sleep against a tree last night, and his body slid off of the plant, making him hit the ground. He jumped to his feet, startled and still half asleep, trying to figure out what happened. Seeing the tree reminded him of last night, and it also made him feel really stupid for being o surprised by what happened.
A cool breeze sent a shiver down his spine, and he realized that he was in one of his least favorite places. In the shade. He hated all of this running and hiding and how he had to avoid sunlight like it was the plague or risk being captured. Luckily in this forest he could still enjoy places where light filtered through the leaves a little bit, though areas with lots of pure sunlight still had to be avoided, but it was better than having to constantly stay in the shade. Cold always made him feel horrible. It made him slow, tired, and achy. He wasn't completely cold blooded, but he had problems keeping his body temperature up. He could only guess how horrible a cold night must feel to a snake or a lizard.
Sluggishly, Komodo dragged himself to a slightly sunny area and sat back down, picking up a stick to absentmindedly pick at the ground with. As he got more awake and energized by the sun, Komodo realized he was hungry. Not that this surprised him at all. He hardly ate anything yesterday. There hadn't been enough time to get loads of food for the group. He hoped today would be better as far as food went.

Alexis started to notice a few of the others waking up. She hoped she hadn't woken them...that would have been terribly rude of her. She blinked, then looked up at Kye who had approached her and asked her what was for breakfast. Alexis hadn't thought of that.
"Uh..." Alexis mumbled, about to say something, before Echo hurried up to them, scurrying past Komodo on the way and skidded to a halt just in front of them. Echo sat with her head slightly to one side.
"Food?" Echo asked.
"What?" Alexis asked, confused. Echo pawed at the ground in front of her with one hand.
"Food?" she asked again, putting more emphasis on the word. "FOOD?" Alexis didn't know what her sister was trying to say. Was Echo hungry too? Before Alexis could ask any more, Echo turned and scampered off. She was gone for a few minutes, before she came back, dragging something along the ground by her sharp teeth. It looked like it took her some effort to do so, but when she was back in front of Alexis and Kye, it was clear why; she had brought with her three large salmon, plus a bird which looked like it had been dead at least a day. Echo crouched low, submissively.
"Food." Echo whispered. Alexis realised that Echo must have heard them talking about breakfast and brought them food. Alexis grinned.
"Thanks, sis." she said. Echo nodded, then grabbed one of the salmon by its tail in her teeth and dragged it about ten feet away, whereupon she stated tentatively eating it.

Lola heard everyone was eating, so she got up from resting.
"Anyone need a fire to cook the food?"
Lola gathered some dead branches, leaves, and plants and started to set up the camp fire. Lola starts to look for some matches that she has found earlier. Lola finds a box of matches and starts to light the fire. Lola goes over to the pile of food Echo has brought, grabs a fish, and takes it too the fire to cook.

With all the commotion going on below the branches of the tree she had perched herself on, Matrix opened one raptor-yellow eye to glance down at her fellow mutants. She blinked the one open eye and opened the other as well, seeing that the others were mostly awake and complaining about being hungry. Her tail feathers fanned out slightly before closing and her wings unfurled to stretch out the muscles in the arms.
With a faint yawn, she retracted her wings so they stayed put against her back. She wasn't willing to move just yet, but she straightened her legs from the crouch she had slept in. It felt good to be on top of everything and keep an eye out for her fellows.
From her vantage point, Matrix saw Echo retrieve a couple of fish and a dead bird. Her yellow eyes blinked. When did the shy feline catch the fish? With a slight shake of her head, she dismissed the thought. Maybe she'd go fishing later.
Nothing can stop the US Air Force except lightning within five nautical miles.

Komodo stared at the fish for a few moments before grabbing the last of the salmon and examining it. After looking the fish over he bit down hard on its spine, just behind its neck to make sure it was completely dead before he started eating it. He would feel horrible if he ate a live animal, regardless of what species it was. Not that that mattered anymore. A cracking sound told him that the fish was indeed very dead now, if it hadn't been before.
He didn't even bother with cooking the salmon, he just went ahead and started eating it. He had instinctively eaten raw food several times in the past few days and it hadn't hurt him yet. In fact, he liked it quite a bit better than cooked meat. Cooked meat just tasted so...processed. He lost his taste for it, which was probably a good thing since the group couldn't always make a fire when they wanted to eat.
When the fire finally grew larger than a few ember, Komodo moved next to it, sitting only a foot away. Heat from a fire was far to nice to simply waste. It was a way to get warm without using the sun, and it was faster. As he sat next to the fire he continued to rip the meat off of the fish, not wasting much effort on being graceful. He even went for the organs in the fish, which tasted much better than they looked in his opinion. Occasionally he would kick dirt over embers that hopped out of the fire and tried to burn the surrounding leaves and twigs.

Jac's grey eyes flickered open, taking in his surroundings instantly and assessing them for danger. Once he'd estanblished that everything was normal, he relaxed, coming up slowly on all fours and trotting towards the small group, his tail wagging slowly.
A soft bark if welcome came out of his mouth, revealing slightly longer and sharper canines, before he closed his mouth with a barely audible clop. With that, Jac padded around in a tight circle and lay down, like a happy dog may. His hair flopped over his face as his eyes closed again and his tail moved to encircle him. His sleeping place was noticeably close to the group, but also quiet far away, and his mouth was slightly open as he drifted off into a light sleep, tail twitching every now and again.
